Guest Reviews
- Will (6/5): Enjoyable but disappointing in cleanliness - Location and access to horses and scenery It was not kept to hotel/airbnb standard. Unhygienic- we shifted the lounge chair and it was filthy underneath. Needs a lot of work to meet standards. A professional clean, paint and new finishes. Also no BBQ when said it was included. Fly screens had rips broken into them - letting in insects.
Very sad because the concept, location and coziness is amazing. Horses next door were wonderful and, beds were good thankfully.

- Susan (7/5): Very relaxing and peaceful thank you - The back desk was so lovely to sit on. The view was beautiful. We saw kangaroos and lots of birds The shower was a bit difficult to navigate the hot and cold taps to get temperature right. The bathroom could do with an exhaust fan. We did open the window at all times.

- Paul (9/5): -
- Kath (10/5): Peaceful, beautiful, quiet and close to everything. - Settlers cottage is located in a peaceful quiet location. It is only minutes away from wineries and event locations. It’s beautiful!
- David (9/5): -
- Sajid (10/5): It’s nice location with best view but I think for night they spose to put street light, in dark it’s bit scary… - Property is nice located Shower was broken and water cattle wasn’t clean for hygiene
- Jemma (5/5): Not worth the price but beautiful location. - Good location for where we needed. Mould on the bathroom walls, rusty door hinges, leaking tap in bathroom. Strict exit instructions incl washing up everything & putting dishes away, packing our own rubbish away (for price we paid, would expect not to have to do these things). Driveway was very rough with pot holes everywhere - although this was disclosed prior to check in.
- Anthony (9/5): Great location and comfortable stay for girls weekend away! - Location and comfortable Oven didn't work well & would prefer a small dining table
- Olivia (7/5): Good short stay - We loved how secluded the cottage was on the beautiful property There was no table to eat meals at. It was also dusty in the cottage causing some of us to have allergic reactions
- Jamie (8/5): Convienant and easy check in. Beautiful surrounds and great location. - Easy check in and the best shower ever! A bit out dated and over priced for what it is. Only instant coffee but would have loved a pod espresso machine, especially for the price you pay.
- Leyla (8/5): We had a great stay at the property. Just what we needed today to get away from the busy city life. - The location was great and quiet.
- Jeanette (7/5): Good -
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location No dining table
- Laura (8/5): Basic but very comfortable and good value for money. - Private, good value for money, well equipped, comfortable beds, nice location A bit tired, some areas were very unclean, some road noise
- Zana (10/5): Beautiful and cosy so nice and felt like home. -
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (5/5): We were comfortable but so much work needed on cottage. A shame it hasn’t been maintained. - Location was good. People running it were nice/responded. Not really 3 bedrooms, told smart tv but wasn’t, kitchen cupboards peeling - place needs maintenance and blinds. Was not presented well.
- Rivera (8/5): Tranquil stay in the heart of the Hunter Valley. - Location
- Christalla (8/5): Great little cottage, but really needs a dining table. - The cottage is clean and tidy and sitting on a large property with plenty of open space.
Kitchen is well equipped.
Comfortable beds and heating provided in all rooms. There was no dining table provided even though a full kitchen is provided. We had to eat on our laps or on the coffee table.
Firewood not included in price even though a fire pit is provided.
Had to cast from device to access free to air channels - not ideal for people that aren’t too tech savvy.
- Thomas (10/5): CAN I LIVE HERE?!!!! - The Kookaburra Cottage was cosy and serene. could easily live there forever!!! DIDN'T WANT TO GO HOME! Thank you for EVERYTHING! That I had to leave the vistas on the back porch
- Adrian (5/5): Great value, but could do with a few more items in the kitchen. - Comfortable Bed. There was no hot water when we arrived on the Monday. I sent a txt to the manager. In the week we were there no one responded to my text. We changed over the gas bottle. There was only one pot to cook with which makes it hard when you have multiple people cooking.
