Guest Reviews
- Cameron (9/5): Was brilliant enjoyed it and the hosts were fantastic could not aske for more . - Everything was great 👍 Just the pool for older people had to get in and out . But spoke to the hosts and about maybe a railing to help get in and out . They agreed 👍
- Raphael (7/5): Good - Good location and nicely isolated. Good bbq area and interior. Pool ok and pet friendly. Area surrounding the pool and garden could do with a bit of more care.
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): Looking for a safe place, for ourselves and our dog, to enjoy a short holiday. It was successful! - Plenty of space, many seating and dining options, within the property, inside and out. Garden safe and secure for our dog. Felt very homely and comfortable Apparently no hot water, for washing up, in kitchen sink, other than boiling a kettle…..or maybe we just couldn’t work out, how to turn it on?
- Sarah (8/5): Great location, if you want to chill on a winters night by the firplace . pet friendly -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (1/5): Holiday from hell - The location Where do I start?
Biggest problem was the plumbing and pipes. From the beginning we had problem when washing the dishes as the water didn’t go down properly and had to use the plunger each time. Then, on the third day the shower started to not go down properly. On the fifth evening the shower water wasn’t moving and so I got the plunger. Excrements then started coming up into the shower (toilet is next to it). Then when I flushed the toilet, more poo started coming up into the shower. We spoke to the owner and she could only find someone to come at 11 am the next day. So we were left without being able to use the indoor toilet and shower and the entire place stank (the other toilet and shower are outside). It was then we contacted booking and the owner and insisted on leaving. We got the money back for the nights we didn’t stay but not for the night we had to spend smelling excrements and using the outdoor “facilities”. The owner even accused us of causing the problem saying that we had put toilet paper down the toilet when there are signs saying not to. We had put toilet paper in the bin throughout the stay even though we thought it was very unhygienic to have to do this and not have a sanitary bin (just a typical desk bin everyone can see what has been thrown in). And the owner even sent me a screenshot of the conversation she had been having with the plumbers saying she had the same problem less than a month ago!
Furthermore, the photos of the house are not fake but have been very strategically taken. We reserved in August for 13 nights and paid 3100 euros. On arrival, we realised the house was in a lot worse condition than we had expected for that money and the garden was in an even worse one. The roof of the house has metal on top of it so it gets extremely hot (there is air con in the living room but this didn’t help at night).
- Amy (8/5): Lovely and cosy winter home. Fireplace was big and kept the house warm. Outdoor arear was great! - Very cosy property, perfect for the winter time. Loved the fireplace and hammocks outside. Overall a great getaway to disconnect. Beds were a little uncomfortable.
- Peter (10/5): No worries. - We enjoyed the privacy and peace and the relaxing environment where our dog could roam free without a chance to escape or disturb anyone.
The house has rustic charm and comfortable environment and was presented very clean and tidy. The wi-fi was an unexpected bonus and worked well in all areas. The AC although only in the main living area kept the whole house cool with the bedroom doors open.
The outside area has a huge gas barbecue and many areas to eat and relax. The property has an outside kitchen sink and an additional outside toilet room which is very convenient The pool was very welcome as it was very hot while we were there and the garden was big enough to accommodate many garden chairs and loungers.
The house is quite isolated and rural but only a short drive to the town where there is a well stocked supermarket and bars and restaurants.
There is plenty of space to park inside the property and is very secure.
The host was extremely friendly and professional and made sure we felt comfortable and at home before leaving us.
We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again and recommend it to anyone especially those who have dogs and need to relax without worrying There are a few things that could do with a bit of maintenance but nothing much to worry about
We were very comfortable there and didn't want to leave.
