• Elizabeth (6/5): Central location; walkable to many attractions if you're keen to see London from street-level. - Location is very central to transport and major attractions. Close to grocery shops and restaurants etc. Walking distance to Hyde Park. Washing machine in the kitchen was very handy. Two bathrooms were great. Responsiveness of host was great and very appreciated. Key collection was a bit jumbled as the instructions for notification of the host/collection came while I was in transit and didn't have UK mobile data available; that said, our flight arrived very early in the AM on a Sunday and the host was at the flat in around 15 minutes of us arriving. Very clear instructions on how to increase/decrease the radiator and hot water temp. Wifi access was super easy and fast. The flat was not clean (bathrooms were dirty, plates had traces of food on them, carpets were not clean, it looked like blood was on one of the radiators) upon our arrival and I asked host for it to be cleaned (responsiveness to this was great). Not enough hand towels, dish towels, bathroom mats or pot-holders and had to ask for them (again, responsiveness was great). There was an ant infestation in the kitchen and one of the bathroom doors didn't close properly and was getting stuck (host sent out someone to look at the door). The washing machine sounds like it needs a service - the spin cycle was deafening, even with the kitchen door shut. The location was NOISY; this is not in a quiet spot (lots of motorbikes revving very late at night and using the side streets to amplify the sound of their exhaust; it's also close to a hospital, so there are constant ambulance sirens). This is obviously not the fault of the host!
