- Melissa (2/5): Good location and very unclean! - Location The property manager didn’t inform us that we have to travel to a lock box for the key or send us any info, I had to lug my stuff around. The apartment had ants, holes in a bedroom wall, hole on the carpet, a tile was loose on the balcony and the bed sheets were not clean we had to clean them before we could sleep. Windows had handles broken off.

- Ashley (10/5): - Best 2 bedroom apartment in Surfers. It was tidy, very central with a Coles shopping centre on ground floor. You get ocean views from the pool area and a huge indoor pool for overcast days.
Great inside the room. Very accommodating and cosy. Worth the stay for the price it is!

- Mellisa (1/5): Absolutely disgusting apartment - The location The carpet is all ripped, the lounge was bits put together on a board, the toaster didn't work, microwave didn't work , utensils were dirty with oil on them. The cupboards hadn't been wiped down in forever no table and chairs on the balcony I have stayed in so many apartments and this by far is the worst for the amount charged and photos on website absolutely disgusting

Central table with broken legs, no Wi-Fi , 1 toilet role , very poor service to get the keys , honestly worst experience ever

- naomi (5/5): Disappointing - The apartment is very close to shops and transport Apartment is not clean. Stains all over carpet, blood on rug, dust in every corner. Mould in shower and on toilet paper. Door to bedroom doesn’t close. Windows filthy. Rug that’s a tripping hazard folded under bed. Grease mark on sheets , makeup and lipstick on doona and pillows .
The toaster tripped the switch which I messaged owner, back and forth just got too hard.

- C (3/5): Wouldn’t recommend it - The location was good. Communication was appalling. There’s multiple problems with the apartment including a door not being able to be closed broken furniture and rugs that are trip hazards. The floors have stains as well as the lounges. When we notified the owner they weren’t really interested in doing much to support us. They also did not mention that the key pick up is a seven minute journey away from the apartment.

- Grant (2/5): If they owners address the needs of the property it would be ok, otherwise wouldn't go back :( - Location was great, we have stayed at this same location (not the same property) on many, many times before Property had not been looked after at all.
Had not been cleaned, other tenants hair and eye lashes on the ground in multiple locations, Carpet stains & Rips everywhere
Mould in the bathroom and also on the underside of the kitchen table.
Many cockroaches running around everywhere, including in the couch
Internet was a dongle internet and not proper internet, so you couldn't get good internet access when needed.
Coffee table broken as well as pot plant holder broken, missing / broken light bulbs everywhere.
No exhaust vent open in the bathroom (it has been shut tight for some weird reason)
Rangehood broken where it was slightly hanging down so it would keep on turning back on thinking it was pulled out.
Main bed room mattress was extremely hard (unlike the nicer mattress in the 2nd room)
they also don't give you a 2nd key (unless you pay for them to deliver it to you) which makes going out difficult.
Really sad situation as the property has clearly been left in an un repaired state.
We visit surfers paradise 1 to 2 times per year and would have happily come back with the same property had it not been in such a bad state of repair :(.
The lady I dealt with who works for this company (letting them know about all of this) was very nice, however I have a feeling the owners were not keen on spending anything to properly address what this property desperately needs.
What was also a scam is they tried to charge me a 'credit card surcharge fee' even though they were not the ones charging me directly for the accommodation and you can't complete the check in process without paying this charge (which booking.com said was only going to be a hold fee, which it wasn't as there was a hold fee of $500 aside from this charge). I did finally get this fee back as I directly told the company there should be no such fee.

The apartment is well-kept. Just be aware there is one parking spot, maybe a note of where there is paid parking close by.
The extra fees for using the booking service they chose to use was an unexpected surprise.
- Hannah (1/5): The OPPOSITE of a stunning apartment - absolutely appalling - The location was close to shops and the beach Do not stay here. My partner and I arrived for a birthday getaway. We struggled to find the place as there are 3 towers. The arrival instructions were conflicting, with the floor and apartment number differing in their messages. We finally got to the apartment after a nice man who lived in the building helped and escorted us.
The apartment:
- Main bedroom bed is as hard as a rock. I think jail bed would be more comfortable
- 2nd bedroom smelt like vomit. All window latches are calcified and falling apart, so we were unable to crack a window.
- carpet needs replacing throughout the whole apartment.
We called to complain and we said the place was not sanitary to stay and a health hazard. No offer to do anything. I was told to forward my complaint to a specific email for a refund (I have proof via text this was upon their request). Then 2 days later they are calling me demanding me to send images of my check out. They then claimed they never got my complaint emails and were unaware we left and that ‘they would have done something if they had known’. I went back and forth arguing with them for over a day. I also feel like a lot of their messages were gaslighting me. They refused to give a refund and their main reasoning was because ‘they were not informed’. They then asked me to send all this to ANOTHER email address. It was ridiculous, they were running me around in circles. They then contradicted themselves and admitted they had a ‘recording’ of my phone call. So, how could you not be aware we checked out and asking for a refund??? No refund was given and 0 service given too. Absolute disgrace of a company (BeLocal).
