Great location - The location was fantastic, close to beach and restaurants, everywhere was accessible by walking We did not use the outside space as we like privacy and found it to open but that's a personal choice because it was a fabulous space if you don't mind neighbours

• Louise (9/5): Très bon séjour à El Cotillo. - Le logement est très bien positionné et proche de la plage. Les commerces et le centre-ville ne sont pas loin également. El Cotillo est un très bon point de chute pour des vacances authentiques et familiales à Fuerteventura. La terrasse est vraiment le "gros plus" de cet hébergement avec différents équipements pour en profiter et la vue sur mer (à noter qu'il y a pas mal de travaux autours de l'immeuble et qu'il peut donc y avoir un peu de bruit mais sans que cela soit très dérangeant). L'accès à la piscine est aussi un bon point, même si le nombre de transat et de parasol disponibles aux résidents pourraient être plus importants.

• Nathalie (9/5): Merveilleuses vacances à El Cotillo - La grande terrasse avec tout confort et vue sur la mer, la propreté de l'appartement et l'agencement. El Cotillo est vraiment parfait pour un séjour à Fuerteventura Petit bémol serait pour la piscine qui ne permet pas d'avoir les transats et parasols au bord mais plus loin et face à la route. Mais c'est vraiment secondaire au reste qui était parfait.
• Sandra (7/5): We love the apartment but for reasons I’ve outlined above we will not be back. The apartment is not cheap for renting a - The property is in a good position in a complex built around the pool. There is lots of building work going on around the property but as we were out most of the day the noise did not disturb us. It is ideal for a couple. It has a lovely upstairs roof terrace with views over the sea and great view of the sunsets. This is our second year staying at this property and in my review last year I commented about lack of towels. I notice other reviewers saying the same thing and also no basic essentials provided apart from 1 toilet roll, hand soap (which I’m sure was watered down) dish towel, small amount of washing up liquid with cloth and sponge. You are provided with two towels but not bath size which were so thin they did not dry you and also two hand towels, one of which I had to use as an oven glove. I did contact the host during our stay asking for extra towels but their policy is only 2 hand and two for the shower. Also there was 1 red wine glass and 1 Prosecco glass. I did ask for more red wine glasses and they were provided quite promptly. By contrast during our month stay on the island we have stayed at another two properties both that had basic essentials, eg tea, coffee, sugar, spices, cling wrap, foil, salt and pepper, cooking oil, water, washing powder, toilet paper, kitchen rolls. This makes such a difference as you don’t want to bring such things with you. If I was the owner and guests were raising the same issues, I would be taking their comments on board and reviewing policy. Just a wee bit effort would make a big difference. Had essential items been provided, and decent towels, I would have rated this property as exceptional. We will be looking for another property next year for this reason.
• Alan (10/5): Fantastic. Lovely apartment with attentive hosts, we would stay again. - Well equipped and tastefully furnished. The roof terrace is fabulous and well kitted out with a cabana style bed, hammocks and relaxing chairs. It gets the sun all day and has stunning views. Not the properties fault but there is building work to the north and east of the apartment. We knew what to expect having stayed in the complex in September and it didn’t bother us in any way.
• Stephen (6/5): Nice apartment but in middle of a building site. - Apartment clean and comfortable. Roof terrace a real bonus, larger than expected, day bed was great. Noise in the area is intolerable. Property has sea on one side and building works directly outside on three sides. Large machines breaking up the ground make horrendous noise. There was also power cuts while we were there one lasting 18hrs. Told this was a one off but not convinced about this, clearly damaged by vibrations from building works. Not the owners fault and they can’t do anything about this. Felt sorry for them but I’d say avoid this area till building works completed.
• Deborah (10/5): Deb and Andy May 2024 - The apartment was beautiful and clean with everything you could possibly need. Absolutely loved it. The terrace was stunning with breathtaking views. Was such a shame to be surrounded by building works, noise started at 8am and kept on all day.
• Simon (9/5): Superb - The property was in a good location with a supermarket and a couple of bakeries nearby. The views from the roof terrace were spectacular particularly at sunset. The kitchen was well supplied with equipment but, like most holiday lets, really needed a knife that was actually sharp. The building site was no problem to us at all, they tended to start around 8.00 am but really were not particularly noisy from our point of view. The property was let down a little by the level of supplied consumables. We tend to be conscious of waste and so the absence of extra toilet rolls, washing powder for laundry, kitchen roll, bin bags etc which although easily purchased did leave a lot of potential waste at the end of a stay. Most of the properties we have stayed at in the last few years have included such items all bought in bulk with a few left out for customers to use. A change of towels part way through the week would have been good.
• Aneta (8/5): It was nice stay. The owner was really lovely and very responsive. - Perfect spot close to nice restaurants and the beach. Great big rooftop with amazing views. There is a parking place in a garage but we didn't use it as there was always a spot outside. Not well equipped just one toilet paper, two garbage bags, no washing detergent. In the kitchen no coffee or tea, just basic spices. Behind the windows is a building construction so it was quite noisy.
• Sandra (9/5): Lovely central apartment with great sea views from Terrace. - Central location within a few minutes walking distance to beach and harbour area. The terrace was amazing with hammocks and seating area along with great sea views. We would use the apartment again. Instructions for hob and oven would have been useful. Also it would have been helpful if extra towels/tea towels were provided. We had to buy other tea towels during our stay. There is building works over the road but this did not not cause any issues.

• Peter (8/5): Lovely apartment, had a nice holiday, poor wifi - Lovely clean apartment. Fantastic roof terrace with sea view. WiFi connection was useless. Kept losing signal had to use phone to get any internet.
• Andrew (10/5): Beautiful modern apartment in excellent location - Beautifully clean apartment, very comfortable bed. The upstairs terrace was amazing! Lots of space and fantastic view. Nothing to not like. Could have done with a little bin in the bathroom but that’s all!
• Guy (8/5): Great roof terrace with great view. - We were met at the property with the keys and shown round the property and told if any problems to give them a call. Well appointed property and great roof terrace with sea views, and great place to sunbathe when the wind is blowing. Was not clear the check in process, until we landed. Would have been useful to know in advance that we would be met at the property on arrival. We were not sure if it was a key box and code and therefore when we would be informed of the code, so just a bit more check in detail in advance would be helpful. Also the Wi-Fi was very poor which we found very frustrating, would work for 10 seconds and the drop continually. This really needs to be looked at.
• Ian (8/5): Despite a few issues, fabulous apartment which we would consider using in the future. - The apartment was probably the best located in the building with views directly over the pool area to the sea. The apartment was well equipped with everything you required for a self catering holiday. Fabulous roof terrace with plenty of outdoor furniture including a Bali bed and hammocks, with a gazebo offering privacy and shelter from the breeze. Within walking distance of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. 5 minute walk to the nearest beach and lagoon for safe bathing. The address of the apartment is NOT the one on the booking site, and it took some time to find having been given telephone instructions by the agents only on arrival in Fuerteventura, and with the help of a local lady. The only other disappointments were that the "small" television only had spanish speaking channels available. An apartment of this quality requires a decent television catering to other languages. We were only informed 2 days before arrival that the pool would not be ready for use (it was still being filled on the day we left) although we were offered the choice of cancellation or a small refund which we took as it was obviously too late to cancel all other travel arrangements. We were not advised of the construction site directly across the road which was operational 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday, however that did not spoil our holiday.
