• Matthew (10/5): A perfect, peaceful getaway in a beautiful location — we’ll definitely be back. - Absolutely loved our stay at Wakefields. The cottage was beautifully presented, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The setting is stunning, stargazing was breathtaking and just so peaceful being surrounded by nature, with amazing mountain views that made for a really relaxing stay. Everything was well thought out with the heated bathroom floors and the indoor fire place keeping us extra warm! Alum cliffs are in walking distance along with the Mole Creek Hotel and general store which exceeded expectations for such a small town. The cottage is located perfectly to explore the area, and couldn’t have asked for more. Honestly nothing as everything exceeded expectations

• Janet (10/5): Perfect stay - The cottage was 5 star standard. Extremely comfortable with high end fixtures and fittings. Wonderful scenery and plenty of wildlife on your doorstep. Couldn’t ask for more.
• Paul (10/5): The ideal, luxury getaway. - Stunning location, very high spec and attention to detail. Every convenience, washing machine dryer, all the kitchen equipment was very good quality, great set up. It was also close to a number of a good walks, and stunning falls. The local pub was also a bonus and had a good restaurant. Nothing, the property is one of the best I have stayed in.

• adrian (10/5): - A wonderful retreat, enjoyed the wallabies hopping around us at dusk and the amazing views. The property was cosy and warm - wish we could have stayed longer and would highly recommend. We did struggle to find the location of the keysafe having read the instructions several times - luckily the owner was in next door but maybe this could be made clearer as not ideal to have to disturb them. The WiFi wasn't working the night we were there - this wasn't a problem for us but might be for some.
• Tracy (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and private, we couldn't have asked for more - Nice views. So private and quiet. Lovely and modern. Absolutely everything you could think of was provided. We couldn't have been more thrilled. Just relaxing inside when we first arrived, and we viewed an echidna walking through the paddock out the front! Cozy and comfortable, exactly what we needed at the end of three weeks of whirlwind travelling. We will be back Nothing to dislike here, the owners had thought of everything :)

• Desmond (10/5): Amazing stay - We loved the peace and quiet, the nature, the wildlife around the property. All that while the room was clean and comfortable. The curtain at the entrance kept falling out, but thankfully easy to clip back up. The sheets were clean, but the material was noisy.

• Scott (9/5): A very enjoyable stay. The evening looking out towards the Western Tiers in incredible. - The outlook over the Western tiers is incredible. The front deck is a great vantage point. Sam was a responsive host. The cottage was easy to find and a simple drive up a dirt track to access. The nearby Meander Valley Winery and the Mole Creek Pub were fun. The fit out of the cottage was very modern. Nearby Deloraine is great for supermarket shopping. The cottage was smaller than I expected from looking at the photographs. Fortunately it was just myself staying. Quite a small dining working table.

• Kathryn (10/5): Magical stay - Quite possibly the most magical place we have ever stayed! The views are simply magnificent. We had planned on going out exploring, however, we set ourselves up on the veranda with a bottle or two of wine and didn't move. The farm animals were just beautiful, as were the plentiful rabbits. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and provided all the facilities you would possibly need. It wasn't quite cold enough to light the fire. That would have been perfect!

• Sweeney (9/5): Superb - Beautiful view, the cottage has a great fit out with the fully stocked kitchen. The underfloor heating was not operational during my stay. Not enough matches were supplied with the woodfire so I had to go back into town to buy some myself
• Bliltznrikki (10/5): Definitely stay here, close to everything. - This tiny home was magnificent and we could live in one of these. The house was beautiful, stylish, modern. Had all the modern features, large great sounding tv, comfy lounge with chaise, fireplace, electric stove, oven/microwave, dishwasher, full size smeg fridge and a coffee machine! The bathroom was modern with a huge shower. Cabin is situated on property overlooking horses and 3 very friendly sheep. Definitely would come back here as its central to a lot of places like Sheffield, Promised Land, Mole Creek Caves, Deloraine. Dirt driveway, only because it rained a little.
• Katrina (10/5): Wakefields stay Mole Creek - An exceptional place to stay. Fully equipped with everything you could need. It was a peaceful place to stay at, and I would highly recommend it to couples or solo travellers. The views of the mountains were amazing.

• Jill (6/5): Disappointing - The cottage was extremely well appointed, with quality furnishings and decor. Great view from the verandah. The location was acceptable for travel to places of interest. The communication received from the property manager after check-in was disappointing, to say the least. In a cottage of this calibre, we expected a greater standard of outside property maintenance and cleanliness inside. To be greeted with long grass and thistles surrounding the house, plus a pungent odour coming from the unemptied rubbish bin was most unwelcoming and a nasty surprise. The cleaning was inadequate in the laundry and bathroom. As instructed, we phoned and left messages with the property manager to return our call, but no communication was received again until the day before departure, by which time was too late. A large hole was also present in the outside pane of the double glazed window facing the verandah, which would have been good to have been aware of before we arrived. Hopefully these issues will have been rectified for future guests!

We loved the facilities, it was clean and cozy, and the nei - We loved how remote it was, and at the same time, how close it was to so much of what Tassie has to offer. Great stay in a cozy escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We loved everything about it.
