• laura (10/5): Madrid con Familia - Fuimos en un viaje familiar y la experiencia fue excelente. El lugar es súper cómodo para ir con niños, muy limpio y prolijo. La cocina está completamente equipada y un supermercado muy cerca, lo que hace la estadía mucho más práctica y cómoda. Sin dudas, una muy buena opción para familias.

Eclairage de l'appartement. La douche qui n'est pas pratique et qui fuit. La vue sur les poubelles. L'échafaudage devant les fenêtres. Manque de papier WC, de sacs poubelles. Pas d'épluche légume, pas de liquide vaisselle. Pas de patin sous les chaises donc beaucoup de bruit.
• Barbara (6/5): Es war alles in allem ein schönes Appartement in einer etwas unruhigen Gegend - Die Lage ist sehr zentral, es ist alles fußläufig gut erreichbar, die Wohnung ist prinzipiell gut aufgeteilt, sauber. Auch der Zugang zur Wohnung mittels Handy hat gut funktioniert. Leider waren die Matratzen der Einzelbetten durchgelegen und unbequem. Das Badezimmer hat keine Abluft und mit dem inkludierten WC ist es schon sehr klein - v.a. auf der Ablage ist ständig alles geschwommen. Auf der Treppe des Appartements saß den ganzen Tag über ein Mann (Obdachloser?), der von morgens an trank und rauchte. Man musste sich an ihm vorbeschlängeln, weil das Gerüst der Baustelle den restlichen Weg versperrte. Neben der Treppe übernachtete jemand in einem Schlafsack; einmal war es ziemlich laut in der Nacht - vor der Wohnung tummelten sich Menschen aus niedriger Einkommensschicht bzw. sogar Obdachlose (?), das Viertel nebenan ist anscheinend auch ein Drogenumschlagplatz
• Polina (5/5): - Была горячая вода и хороший напор в душе, вай фай тоже работал. Квартира находится в неблагополучном районе, во всем Мадриде там сразу ощущаешь что попал в гетто криминальный район. В квартире было грязно, разбитый пол прикрытый ковриком. Постельное белье кололось и тело чесалось, когда лежишь на нем. Окна квартиры выходят на мусорные баки. Компания до последнего не отвечала на вопросы связанные с заселением и получением ключей.

• Jacqueline (6/5): The place feels safe to walk at night. - The apartment was big enough for 4 people to eat and sleep comfortably. The location was about 15 minute walk to Plaza Mayor. The balconies face the collection bins which were not the most pleasant view or smell for 3 nights.

Mi estadía empezaba en el 05/01 y solamente recibí informaciones sobre la reserva, como entrar en el piso o hasta mismo una atención en el día 31/12 después de enviar muchos mensajes. Y en muchas ocasiones, por el chat de Booking, hablaban que no tenía ninguna reserva. O sea fue un estrés antes de viajar.

• Alessio (8/5): Sarebbe stato bellissimo se nostro figlio non avesse preso l'influenza - Casa zona giorno molto comoda e spaziosa. Molto luminosa e letti comodi. Doccia Grande La rigorosità degli orari di check in e check out. Necessitavamo di prolungare di qualche ora il check out per problemi di salute e il check out, essendo tramite app non ci è stato prolungato. Avevamo scritto all'host il giorno precedente ma non ci ha dato risposta fino a 15 minuti prima della scadenza dell'orario rispondendoci negativamente, dopodiché è entrato in funzione il check out che non ci ha permesso più di aprire la porta per rientrare essendo abbinata automaticamente via domotica ad una app di controllo della serratura. Questa cosa porta alla perdità di umanità dei rapporti interpersonali.

• Hannah (5/5): Central location but apartment needs serious TLC. - Central location. The living space was good, AC in the lounge was appreciated. The property needs a lot of maintenance such as damaged flooring in the hallway, mouldy bathroom walls. Some bed linen/towels were stained. The twin pull down beds were flimsy quality and didn’t stay down to the ground. Bathroom wasn’t very clean. The property is in need of some serious TLC. The check in process was also very onerous and host was not very responsive - only when chased multiple times. The link for the door system only worked strictly after 3pm on check in and before 11am on check out day.
• Maureen (5/5): Poorly maintained property which could have been so much better! - The property is reasonably well equipped, but there are maintenance issues which are not being addressed and because the property is managed rather than being owner controlled, responses were sympathetic but not apologetic. There is damage to the parquet flooring in the hallway (between the main bedroom and bathroom, so tricky at night - the agent just said the owner “was aware”. There was external building maintenance going on which you imagine the owner would have been aware of, but there was no warning about this and a simple thing like saying sorry for the inconvenience or leaving a bottle of wine to compensate would have made a differential to the way we felt. Walking up from a nap seeing men looking in front of their scaffolding was not the best, and it was noisy (not only the work, but the music blaring). Also the pedal bin doesn’t work, there are no instructions for the washing machine and the list said there was a tumble dryer, which was not in evidence - there WAS a drying rack though, so maybe that was lost in translation? The price is reasonable, and with a bit more care, this property could get higher ratings than it does, but the impression given was that the owners didn’t care. See above
• Paul (6/5): Pleasant stay in a vibrant part of Madrid. - Good location mostly well appointed. Good cooking facilities. Great to have a washing machine too. Raised jagged flooring in the hallway was dangerous. Obvious rising damp in hallway not good. Dead plants and empty pots on balconies not a good look.

El primer día que llegamos la imagen del barrio no fue muy agradable ya que hay muchos yonkies, que hasta en el portal del edificio se sentaban o tiraban en el piso a consumir, el barrio no te da imagen de seguridad lamentablemente

• Sergey Ts (8/5): - Апартаменты соответствуют фотографиям. Вполне хватает места для семьи из 4 человек. Посуды и техники достаточно. Регистрация и доступ все онлайн и понятно. Кондиционер работал отлично. Не очень понравился район, т.к. много людей непонятных и по ходу бездомных. Но это не слишком сильно напрягало. А так район недалеко от центра и в принципе соответствует своей цене.

• Romel (10/5): Good for a group trip! - Very nicely decorated, kitchen and bathroom was well stocked and had everything I needed. There was AC in the living room/ kitchen which was good. There is no AC in the bedroom and the one with 2 beds would be hot at night (there was a small fan provided). Other reviews also mention that the area is not the best. It is very centrally located but there are some strange people at night. During the day it is perfectly fine but at night there can be lots of random men loitering or “crackheads”. Honestly they did not bother us and it was not loud outside at night but we were 3 muscular men and 1 girl so it is safer for us. Also we live in Toronto so people acting like that on the streets is normal for us.

• Lucy (8/5): Good location, comfortable apartment. - Location, comfort of the apartment, very clean. Really nicely decorated. Needs more cutlery, there wasn't enough for the four of us. There's damp in the wall between the bathroom and hall that needs looking at. There was loads of bedding in the wardrobes, but only one pillow each. We asked for more pillow cases so we could have additional pillows but no one replied.
• Steve (4/5): Most frustrating check in experience in my travels. - The inside of the apartment was nice, and well decorated. Looked like it was new but located in a rn down neighborhood. The check in process is horrible. You have to go to a website and filll out a bunch of information and even upload your passport. My phone had only 10% battery left and the upload of my information took forever, the website would time out, and I had to start over. Contacting the house was even worse. First time I got someone on the phone they only spoke Spanish since I speak English I didn't even know who I was talking to. About the third time of trying to call I finally got someone that spoke english. They weren't very helpful in solving the problem of getting into the apartment. They could have sent someone but they didn't. Finally they overrided the system to get in by giving us the passcodes to get the keys or to get the entrance into the apartment. After we were in the apartment about 5 minutes later they did send someone. We waited in 100° heat to try to get in this apartment. It took nearly over 2 hours to get to get in. The hosts were certainly the worst part of the check-in process. They could have helped us but they didn't soon enough. I have to say this is the most frustrated experience in my whole travels. This is the only time that I truly pursued to get my money back because it was so frustrating I nearly had a breakdown. Second to that, the location is in a rundown part of town that's about 10 minutes walk to all the touristy places. We walked past bunch of homeless people past out in the park. It was kind of scary scary walking past them with backpacks on clearly identified as tourists. Since we got lost we had to go by that Park several times and every time I thought we were going to get robbed and jumped. While walking to the apartment all we could do is smell urine.

They switched us in other apartment, day before the arrival, due to some "plumbing problem" in the one initially booked.Eventhough location of the second one was good, not so suitable for our needs, although it wasn't easy connected with festival we attended in Madrid.Also apartment was smaller and not so comfortable for 4 big guys.Other than that, it was good experience.

• Sol (2/5): Avoid. Needs cleaning, maintenance and central heating. - Location was decent Heating did not work effectively and Madrid was super-cold. No way to add heating and no response from owner. Broken single bed leg, dirty drawers (in the wardrobe) and generally not fit for a booking.com property.
• Kah (9/5): Superb - The apartment is as described, clean n spacious for 4 pax. Everything we needed was available, neat and tidy. The staff was prompt in replying to whatever questions I had. Location is good for us.. A few hooks to hang our clothes will be good... 😅.. but I'm not sure if not having hooks on walls/doors is typical of European houses.

• Joyce (8/5): A good location to see some of the main attractions. clean and comfortable - The key is sent via what's app and is an electronic system which works very well. You cannot get in though until 3pm when the key is activated. There were plenty of towels and soap provided and the apartment is clean. There is a supermarket directly opposite which is really helpful. 10 mins walk to the Plaza Mayor and about 15 - 20 minutes to the main art galleries. inside felt safe and comfortable, although it looked a bit strange when we arrived because there were lots of people drinking on the benches outside. They were no problem and the apartment is quiet when you get inside. No kettle, but you can boil water on the induction hob or the microwave and there is a washing machine and dishwasher if you need them. Would have been helpful to have had a bit more flexibility on arrival - we had to wait until exactly 3pm for the electronic key to work. Waiting outside was not particularly nice because there were quite a few people drinking on the steps and we didnt know the area. The shower needs a bit of attention, but otherwise, the apartment was a good choice for the two of us and easily walkable to many of the places we wanted to see, and also to the metro stations.
• Melissa (8/5): The apartment had everything we needed. Cosy for 3 people and walking distance to sights. - We were able to find the apartment easily with the picture and address. The apartment used "magic keys" so no physical keys but you access on phone. This was very easy to use but requires internet. You can share the link with everyone staying so you all have access. The hosts allowed us to keep our luggage in their office after check out so we could further explore the city which we appreciated. The apartment has good kitchen facilities allowing us to cook and save money but it is so close to all restaurants and walking distance to main sights and supermarkets. Metro is close but we ended up walking everywhere. There were delays sending the check in information to fill. The check in information was all in Spanish making it difficult for foreign visitors. I chose to check in between 7-8pm and only received the email with information at 8pm. By the time I arrived at the apartment we were stood outside with our luggage still waiting for the magic key. This should have been sent hours before if not the day before our stay to avoid confusion. I tried to ring but on a few occasions my call was declined. Again you need internet to do online check in. Check in should have been accessible at least 1 day before to avoid this. This was not a massive deal but added to the stress of travelling.

• Ilko (10/5): The apartment was really clean and neat. It has everything you need for your stay! - The door system with the code is an excellent choice! The apartment was clean, neat and really comfortable and cosy. It has everything you would need for a short (and not that short) stay. I would definitely recommend it and save it for future visits to Madrid. P.S. We didn't use the subway much because we walked but the station is just 3-4 mins away. The nearby Merkado is top-notch (much better than the overblown downtown). Overall, 9.5/10! The only thing was that the door in one of the rooms was kind of broken - you can't really close it so you are hearing the noise from outside (which wasn't that much after all). But a small thing indeed. P.S. In front of the ap. it's like a hot spot for junkies and thugs but more like low-key ones, again - nothing to worry about.

• Jackie (10/5): Great location - I had read the reviews before booking and the central but quiet location was mentioned. It's true and in a lovely shady spot. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to visit. Everything was clean and tidy, modern and was equipped with all we required. A wonderful base for our trip to Madrid. The wardrobe had so much spare bedding in it.
