Guest Reviews
- Wendy (10/5): - Everything Steps
- Marion (8/5): A cosy cottage with lovely outlook into a beautiful garden. - Cosy, comfortable, well stocked with essentials, lovely greeting pack, tastefully restored bedrooms and living area.Owners kept in communication with us. Central heating was good. Autumn leaves outlook was amazing. Garden was lovely. Shower was small. Bathroom was partially renovated but lacked hanging space and heating.
There were a lot of stairs to negotiate which was difficult for unpacking but this had been told to us several times beforehand.
- Rosemarijn (8/5): Great stay! - Cute old charm cottage but had everything we needed and good heating! Easy walking distance to town. Very responsive owners who gave some great tips on things to do. Nothing
- Emma (8/5): Cosy cottage in a convenient location - Location and set up Minor item not enough breakfast bowls
- yanjie (10/5): This house was a refreshing change from hotels - Peaceful, comfortable cottage house with a homely feel and very good privacy. It reminded me of my childhood in Sydney Steps, but good exercise :-)
- Ingrid (9/5): -
- B (9/5): Conveniently located peaceful cottage with lovely gardens. - Great location easy walk to shops & transport. Lovely gardens, small cottage but plenty big enough for 2 singles / 2 couples. Good range of cooking equipment & kitchen & bathroom essentials. Helpful & welcoming hosts. The gates tended to get stuck. Would be nice to have some windows & doors with working fly screens so you could let fresh air in without letting bugs in! Hand & bath towel rails in the bathroom would be useful.
- Justin (10/5): Lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world. - It was a beautiful period wooden cottage, tastefully decorated and very comfortable inside, with everything that you would need. Nothing really
- colin (8/5): We had a great stay at Bliss cottage and the extras left by the host were appreciated. -
- Adam (10/5): Beautiful and very comfortable cottage with lovely gardens , close to shops and main attractions .we really enjoyed our - Beautiful cottage , very comfortable and homely . Close to all the main attractions and main st. Highly recommend

- Laila Belen (10/5): - Maravillosa casa de la época en el corazón de la ciudad, confortable y maravillosa! Aunque no se aparca en la puerta las escaleras son fáciles Todo maravilloso, es una experiencia vintage fabulosa
- Sha Rin (8/5): Excellent location, cottage full of character, beautiful garden and lovely hosts :) - The excellent location and the character of an old cottage. I loved the beautiful garden teeming with hydrangeas and flowers. Appreciated the welcome gift of chocolates and a bottle of wine. Kitchen was well equipped. The bedroom door to the bedroom closest to the bathroom could not be closed. It was ok when we were both in the room and could use something to keep it from opening but very tricky to keep it closed for the other person if one of us left the room.
- Katherine (9/5): Picturesque escape right in the heart of Katoomba - Beautiful peaceful setting despite being so close to the town centre, excellent kitchen facilities, great advice from the owners on local activities. The stairs!! Very steep climb in and out of the property meant we kept fit all weekend!
- Martine (10/5): Rosebud Cottage was adorable with a beautiful garden and a cosy comfy home from home feel. -

- Elaine (10/5): - We loved the really cosy characterful feel and the location was superb. You need to be aware that there are lots of steep steps to negotiate especially with luggage.
- Sonnenberg (10/5): Excelente lugar, bien equipada la casa y con lindos detalles de bienvenida - Los detalles que dejó la persona encargada de la casa, la calma del lugar y el jardín 💚

- Donna (10/5): We had such a great stay, the cottage is beautiful, warm and cosy, clean, and the log fire was our favourite thing to co - Cosy, warm, character, clean Nothing
- Mariette (10/5): We had the best stay, gorgeous cottage. Looking forward to coming back 😊 - Super cozy and comfortable
- Sonya (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the fireplace on cool winter nights.
The cottage was well equipped with everything one needs for short term stay.
Highly recommend.
- Amy-lian (10/5): Home away from Home for Ultra Trail Australia - The cottage was perfect for us to base our holiday from as we visited for Ultra-Trail Australia which ran out of scenic world. We were given more towels and waters during our stay which was a lovely touch and also forgot some items which have been posted back to us with no hassle. The cottages warm fire and easy to work heating system was a great bonus as we are from North Queensland so we're feeling the cooler weather. Extras like the coffee machine, milk frother, slippers and soap made our stay very comfortable and like a home away from home. We will be back! The parking on street was easy to manage even when it was so busy for the event and the stairs weren't too much trouble (only after my partner had run his 100km race haha!) Nothing!
- Raylee (9/5): Superb -
- Tyson (9/5): Superb - Location. Clean. Nice kitchen
- Stacey (10/5): Perfect Katoomba cottage - A gorgeous cosy cottage within easy walking distance to Katoomba shops and cafes. Perfectly decorated and beds super comfy. We also loved the sunny deck in the back garden for morning coffee. We loved it all
- Beatrix (9/5): Superb - Beautiful old charm house, close walking distance to the Main Street with shops and pubs. The kitchen felt a bit out of place but was functional and everything worked well.
- Catherine (9/5): We loved our stay at Rosebud Bliss Cottages - much better than staying in a hotel! - We loved our stay. It’s a gorgeous cottage with a beautiful garden and a private sanctuary that feels a million miles away from everything. And a lovely welcome bottle of wine! There are steps down from the street to the property but they were absolutely fine and no issue with us at all.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional - Me and my family had a lovely time at the bliss cottage, it was a nice and quaint cottage perfect for 4 people. Cosy and close to all shops and wonderful adventures that katoomba and the surrounding blue mountains have to offer.
- Francis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): House was beautiful. - The special touches. Wine, slippers, special soap, lovely equipped kitchen, comfy beds. The steps were a challenge for us as we are in our sixties and seventies. No disabled access. But lovely.
- Rachel (10/5): I hope we can stay again! - Very tastefully decorated without being cluttered - made us feel so comfortable - as we left we wished we'd stayed much longer Can't think of anything!
- Jocelyn (10/5): A quiet comfortable haven with easy access to main shopping street of Katoomba. - Cosy, quiet but close to the main shopping street of Katoomba. Access was a little tricky - property is behind another cottage and there are quite a few steps down to the entrance to contend with when carrying luggage.
- Gareth (9/5): Superb - Chocolates and wine were a nice touch Bathroom door could be more private. Maybe a curtain.
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - This little cottage was a perfect couple getaway. It was so clean. Felt like you were secluded, but its central to bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. I would definitely stay there again.
It would also be perfect for a family . There wasn't anything i didn't like. It is gorgeous
- Chika (8/5): Certainly start there again. Felt very welcome with wine, slippers and just general positive feel when you arrived! - Location, presentation was lovely! Smell of air fresheners was a little overpowering when sleeping at night but pleasant.
- Newsha (9/5): Superb - The cottage was absolutely beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The garden was a perfect spot to relax with stunning surroundings. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. It was a peaceful and memorable getaway for my family; my parents were especially in love with the charm of the place! The only small inconvenience was that the property didn’t have a parking space, so we had to find parking spot nearby.
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Mihirani (10/5): Clean and tidy ❤️❤️ beautiful garden 🪴 and well arranged - Yes , had a awesome time
- Sue (10/5): Beautifully furnished, very comfortable 2 bedroom cottage with excellent location - Location was close to shops - 2 min walk - but a street away that made parking really easy
- Janelle (9/5): Beautiful Cottage in the mountains - The location of the cottage is very central and only a few 100 meters up some steps to the main street. The hosts were extremely helpful in providing location advice on what to see and where to go plus provided some helpful information about what restaurant were good in town. They were very responsive and very helpful. It made our few days in Blue Mountains a very memorable stay. The cottage itself is centrally heated with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The kitchen is very well appointed with all of the convenience supplies that you might expect including oil, salt/pepper, foil, glad wrap etc as well as good pots, pans and crockery.
This cottage also has a lovely verandah where you could sit and have your morning coffee should you have time. Whilst the cottage does not have a view it has a lovely outlook onto their garden which is very peaceful. We only stayed one night so we need to come back! Overall, we loved our stay at the Rosebud Cottage. Would highly recommend. Our stay was very enjoyable, and we had some minor things, and the hosts were able to rectify for future guests.
- Marion (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nakia (9/5): Quaint, Cosy Cottage In Katoomba. - Blue Mountains Bliss Cottage is a quaint, cosy, private retreat tucked away in the heart of Katoomba.
The hosts have done an exceptional job at providing everything needed and/or required (plus more) for a comfortable stay. Communication from booking stage up until departure was prompt and informative.
Upon arrival at the cottage it was very welcoming and the small touches throughout made a great impression.
Having both central heating and a wood burning fireplace was great (and a saviour, as we arrived cold and wet from our motorcycle ride). 😂👌🏽
Given our experience at Blue Mountains Bliss Cottage, we would definitely stay again if visiting the area and highly recommend it to anyone travelling that way.
A great stay and gracious hosts.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There was not much we didn't like? 🤔
If I had to critique something, an observation or perhaps enlighten future travellers?
The steps leading from the footpath down to the cottage may not be suited for those that are physically restricted or the elderly? It didn't hinder us though.
And at the time it seemed the hot water only lasted for about one and a half showers consecutively? As there were 3 of us, we arrived cold and wet from riding our motorcycles and was looking forward to a nice warm shower.
But definitely not a deal breaker, if you space your showers accordingly.
- Sophie (9/5): Superb - The beds were comfortable, the fireplace, the kitchen had a good variety of utensils The amount of stairs to get to the cottage but that’s no fault of the owners. Also parking wasn’t always that easy, but again no fault of the owners.
- Mahdi (9/5): Perfect place for stay in Blue Montains. Wont forget. - The amenities and internal decoration were fantastic. Warmly decorated. Cleanness was superb. The location and garden and fresh flowers inside were excellent. Not having car access or parking was the only drawback.
- Peter (5/5): Great place for a heritage experience.Big hassle to and from the property. - Old worldly , very clean and comfortable. Really tiny shower, hot water ran out.only 4 cups.
Long walk from parking the car and very steep that was not indicated prior to booking. Beware less mobile people.Only seating for 3 in lounge.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Perfect cottage for a Blue Mountains getaway - The very well equipped kitchen , super comfortable beds and convenient location .
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - Bliss Cottage lived up to its name. It was excellent. The owners were so friendly & helpful & prompt in responding to my messages. The cottage was clean & comfortable & iin a very quiet area. The beds were very very comfortable & the shower was great plus plenty of towels were supplied. The instructions provided to get to & into the propery were clear as were the instructions about how to use heating etc. It was a 4 min walk to the town centre / train station. You could walk to the 3 sisters but it would take about 30 mins + so easier to drive. The owners provided chocolates & a bottle of wine plus firewood for the fire. I highly recommend Bliss Cottage & loom forward to staying again.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (8/5): Lovely cottage, well appointed and centrally located, but potential guests need to know about the number of stairs - The property is a delightful cottage, beautifully renovated and very well appointed with everything needed for our 3 day stay. It was spotlessly clean, centrally heated and had a wood burning fireplace. No indication that the cottage is at the back of another cottage which fronts the street.
There were numerous steps to go down the side of the front cottage, through a gate, then down more steps to get to cottage
As two people in their mid 70’s, it is just fortunate that we have no mobility issues
It was a struggle to get back up the stairs with the luggage at the end of our stay.
This property, lovely though it is, is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues
- Sharon (9/5): Cozy and comfortable - Great location, well insulated cottage so I never felt cold (after using the heating a bit each evening)! Attention to detail was appreciated, such as a good size umbrella to use, as well as a box of tissues and cooking oil - small things perhaps, but when travelling by train these items are handy to have on arrival. Negotiating many steps with a suitcase; easier on the way out because I knew what to expect!
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and well equipped, loved our stay
- Sanja (9/5): Superb -
