Guest Reviews

- Kathryn (8/5): - The location was great
- Tania (7/5): A fantastic location and perfect for two couples or a small family, full of charm. Time for maintenance in a few crucial - The location was perfect, a beautiful old property full of charm. Time for maintenance in a few areas, the window frames need repair, so the windows rattled with the wind. The hole in the ceiling above the shower was uncomfortable from a location and reason perspective. A few personal touches were missing like tissues, basic tea, coffee and sugar and the bath could do with an anti slip mat.
- Cornelia (7/5): Great location but can be improved. - The location was perfect. The place was not clean and everything was a bit of a mismatch.
- Dean (3/5): It was extremely dirty and dusty and cobwebs everywhere - It was extremely dirty and dusty and cobwebs everywhere It was extremely dirty and dusty and cobwebs everywhere
- Timothy (8/5): Fine for a short stay - The accommodation is spacious and furnished in a quirky retro style. Location is central We had some difficulty finding the property and first impressions were not good - entrance corridor is gloomy on entering - even with the light on!
- Wey Min (6/5): In general, ok place to stay, good comfortable bed, everything else is not great. - Location was very good, walking distance to the paddle steamers, most local attractions and shops/restaurants. This is really good as we noticed that it's really hard to find parking over New Years summer break (even though our parking spot was really tight due to multiple bins taking over the car spot). Very comfortable/supportive king bed in the middle bedroom. Appreciate that the apartment was kept cool for when we arrive. Toilet seat includes toddler seat option which was greatly appreciated. Clear entry instructions. The apartment is generally not well lit (2nd bedroom's light is flickering, main kitchen light is not working/dark, however the front bedroom is VERY well lit), generally a little more run down than we expected (example: toilet/bathroom/upstairs door lock is old and sometimes doesn't work well). Hot water shower works very poorly, we get either very hot water, very cold water, long wait time for the water to change temperature, and there was one point I was without any water for maybe a few minutes, then the hot water came back again. Unsure of when the place was cleaned before us, as there were a lot of bits of dusts/crumbs(?) on the bed/pillows, couch, table when we first enter even though the sheets looked fresh. We really appreciate that this is a shoes off place and we have kept our shoes off, until we feel/noticed the there are many cracks in the floor, which were borderline injury hazards when we have our shoes off. Don't book this place over New Year's/Eve unless you're willing to tolerate noise up to 3am on NYE and past midnight on other days during that period, despite indication that noise will only go till 11pm every night from the guest information booklet. We have communicated with the owners once about having issues with the required registration process that didn't work and once about the lighting, but did not get any responses until we have already left the property, apparently due to owners being away/out of range to be reached.
- Narelle (9/5): A lovely place to stay, right in the Port. Beautiful accomodation with a slice of history. - Historical building. Great location. Clean and tidy. It was a little noisy but that’s was to be expected with the prominent location.

- Alice (10/5): A magical getaway treat - I want my House to feel like this! - Sensational place - gorgeous interiors and great style, magical country getaway feel! N/a fridge temperature could go up if we needed to be picky !
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Tahlia (9/5): Superb - Great location, very central and close to everything. Felt like we were in a part of history. It was very noisy at night time with music from a local bar/pub and people shouting down in the street.
- Nicole (6/5): Pleasant - Helpful owners, location close to dining places and historic wharf
- Liesl (7/5): Lovely location within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants - Prime location…couldn’t have been situated better Quite warm and stuffy inside. Unfortunately it was very hot weather, however, the apartment retained the heat as the one aircon could not compete.
- Everett (8/5): Perfect location for the paddle steamers and tours. Close to the shops and pubs as well. - The owners were really friendly and accommodating.
It’s in a perfect location as close to all the shops, tourist attractions and pubs Air conditioner and fridge didn’t work very well. Unfortunately the cleaners also didn’t leave us enough towels and also didn’t clean the outside table so it was unusable.
The shower pressure wasn’t the best either.
Unable to open the windows to let in fresh air
- Liza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (9/5): It was a delightful place to stay in the heart of town. - The character of the building and decor An iron and ironing board could be good
- Janette (6/5): Great location. - Location was great in terms of convenience to town & activities. Owner responded very promptly when we raised a concern with the cleanliness & smell of the sofa. Very very noisy into early hours of the morning and then rubbish truck at 5am each morning. Parking provided was often taken by another car and the sofa needs a good deep clean to remove the smell of animal urine.
