• Frank (5/5): Stinking shower and nice views - Large window with nice views of the Kattendijkdok and Eilandje from the fifth storey. Kitchen utensils brand new. Effective floor heating. Bed and mattress. Toilet in a separate room. There was an elevator which was built in 1958. It was quiet during both nights from 22:00h until 07:00h. Foul-smelling shower room all the time. I did not use the shower and kept the door tightly closed. I asked for compensation but did not get an answer. During the conversation it appeared that this is a permanent issue. The caretaker poured bleach into the shower drain only to add a pungent odor. On arrival, the outdoor temperature was 17.0 Celsius while the indoor one was only 17.5 Celsius. There were use chips bags in the cupboard. The charge was 2.50 Euros for 0.25L coca-cola and for 0.5L Spa water. We did not find coffee cups or mugs with a handle. So, you either burn your fingers or drink cold coffee. There is no view of the MAS. You may see part of it after climbing to the upper bedroom. The metal spiral staircase has very narrow steps which appeared kind of dangerous to use especially in the dark. We chose the location because we expected less noise. In the morning, we had to listen to the music from neighbors. From 16:00h to 22:00h there was an open-air party across the street. They had massive speakers and caused excessively loud music that flowed through the apartment from either side. The only escape was to leave the apartment.
• Christopher (10/5): A wonderful stay in Antwerp at the lodge - Our stay at The Anchor Lodge was perfect. Instructions to check in and out came promptly early in the morning. The apartment has beautiful views, comfortable beds and a brilliant shower. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of fridge space to allow us to cook from home for a couple of the days. The Internet coverage was good and the lift was a real bonus helping us get luggage into the apartment. The place was perfectly located near the MAS muesum, some lovely restaurants and coffee shops. The apartment was also very close to the local trams for journeys into the city centre and adventuring around other parts of Antwerp. I hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Honestly nothing! There was a slight misunderstanding with the keys when we arrived but it was swiftly taken care of!

Could have done with bigger towels, like bath sheet size and some mugs for coffee. We felt the cups available were very small and like big coffee...( Both are minor issues, so this is for constructive feedback, not us complaining)😂
