Во -вторых, очень грязно везде, номера старые, уставшие и вонючие , плохо убираютсч а номере, на территории свинюшник, завтраки тоже не вкусные , бассейны очень грязные, море с большими волнами. Хотели покататься на лодочках в итоге не успели попасть за 3 дня . Записи ограничены . Не рекомендую совсем.

Территория большая и все незаметно, Нравится отношение персонала, нравятся номера, уборка, еда. Свежевыжатые соки и разнообразие. В лаундже тоже очень хорошее обслуживание. Персонал быстро реагировал на наши просьбы.вид из номера потрясающий Когда пожаловались на неудобства по поводу строительных работ рядом, пошли нам на встречу. Когда закончатся строительныеи работы рядом и в отеле будет отлично. Пока не очень Рядом с отелем ведется строительство здания, строительные работы с 7 утра и до вечера шум , ранним утром, если открыт балкон просыпаешься от ужасного шума строительных работ. Спать с открытым балконом не получится. Во время нашего пребывания владелец здания также решил сделать ремонт во входной группе. Даже нам пошли на встречу и предоставили в подарок лаундж. Но потом еще и красить решили. Запах стоял ужасный целый день в отеле. Пол гостиницы было перекрыто . Когда я обратилась с жалобой, нам предложили бесплатно отменить наше проживание емли мы уедем в другой отель и предоставить такси для переезда. . Во первых нас не предупредили ни о строительных работах рядом с гостиницей ни о ремонте во время нашего пребывания. Нам не оставили выбора . Уезжать куда то было тоже не резонно, потому что ценник в других отелях уже был высокий либо не было мест. Само отношение к этой истории поразило. Такой отель, такое имя , и стройка без предупреждения. .

• Gernot (8/5): "Eigentlich" eine wunderschöne Hotelanlage um sich zu erholen und neue Energie zu tanken. - Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Tolle Hotel Gartenanlage. Sehr schöner Blick auf das Meer. Er wird allerdings durch den häßlichen Bau in der direkten Nachbarschaft zerstört! Die Mega-Baustelle und die daraus resultierende schlechte Aussicht! Einfach nur häßlich das Gebäude! Der Helikopterlärm von morgens bis abends ist nicht zumutbar! Das ständige hin-und herfahren der Quad's am Strand ist ruhestörend und stinkt erbärmlich!

• Rym Asma (9/5): - L'hôtel est beau , joliment décoré, en harmonie avec l'univers exotique de l'ile, le personnel est agréable et au petit soin, toujours la pour rendre votre séjour plus agréable ( merci à Soan qui a veillé à faire respecter nos particularites alimentaires ). L'hôtel est doté de deux grandes piscines et un jacuzzi , idéale pour se détendre Le restaurant aquarium est à lui seul une attraction, à faire au moins une fois. L'hôtel est à environ 45 mn de l'aéroport en voiture , à 10 mn à pied d'un immense duty free avec toutes les geandes marques de luxe. L'Atlentis pour une journée de jeux aquatiques est à 5 mn en taxi. Notre séjour s'est tres bien passé, je recommande vivement cet hôtel . Rien de négatif pour l'hôtel, le restaurant cabanas propose un menu très restreint pour la formule demi pension ..pour deux personnes c'était un peu limite. Mais le cadre joli et le personnel du restaurant étaient très gentils.

Уверен, что с его появлением русскоговорящих туристов в отеле станет больше. В какой-то вечер, даже точнее ночь, приехала машина ассенизаторов и минут 30-40 явно откачивала канализацию с рёвом и соответствующим запахом. Это было не очень приятно.

• Xinqi (1/5): Extremely Disappointing – Rude Front Desk Manager and Misleading Service - Extremely Disappointing I stayed here from 25th to 27th June 2025 for a business trip, and the experience was shockingly unprofessional for an InterContinental-branded hotel. As a British business traveller, I required an invoice in English for tax and accounting purposes. The front desk manager, Jasmine Feng, flatly told me it was "impossible" for the hotel to issue any English invoice to any customer. She was dismissive, rude, and completely unwilling to help, both in person and by email. When I checked out, I asked another staff member for help. Jasmine interrupted loudly from the next desk, repeating in a raised voice that it was impossible. This was incredibly embarrassing and hostile. Yet – within 2 minutes, the other receptionist provided the English invoice with no problem at all. So Jasmine was either lying or intentionally obstructing. This level of dishonesty and aggression is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a 5-star international chain. I have lodged a formal complaint with IHG and hope no other guest has to experience this kind of treatment. Unless this is addressed, I cannot recommend this hotel to international or business travellers. Proceed with caution.

Breakfast for Europeans below standard. Restaurant not too crowded at breakfast time. Had a nice lunch in aquarium restaurant, apart from out of control children and shouting parents! Are these people audio impaired or what? We stayed 2 nights and then moved to the Atlantis hotel further round Haitang Bay where I am writing this review from. The Intercon by comparison is far superior. However when staying at so-called “International “ hotels in China you have to adopt a fairly low bar for your expectations in terms of quality and value for money.

The area surrounding the area are covered with coconut trees and mangos and others. As a Muslim, the breakfast was limited to, also the restaurant collaborating with the hotel had a limited menu.

Note that swimming at the beach is not allowed and the adult pool was closed as of April 2025, which we weren’t aware when we booked. Lots of really nice facilities for kids of all ages. Decent service though most staff does not speak English at all.

• Naem88 (10/5): Exceeded expectations everywhere but for when it came to swimming at the beach. - The room was fantastic, the Aquarium and Aqua restaurant were also unmissable. The breakfast was probably the best of the included breakfasts we experienced in the 6 different hotels we stayed at. The pool was heated, unlike the previous pool at the previous hotel which was only good for doing laps. Live music in the evenings was also very nice. I like swimming in the sea, and unfortunately this isn't allowed by the government due to safety concerns...

• bachelor8 (10/5): Fantastic! - This resort was next to duty free mall and a large-size food quarter. There was an underwater restaurant surrounded by an aquarium. There were two large lagoon pools in this resort. Club lounge was located in the top floor to give you a stunning sea view and sunrise view. Happy hour in the club lounge and breakfast in the restaurant were great! Free shuttle buses operate from this resort to Sanya airport.

• Nicola (10/5): Clean, comfortable 5* hotel with excellent customer service and kids activities - There are lots of activities for children all included with the price of our room. Plus an arcade that my children loved. The staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. I lost my phone and one of the cleaning staff helped me find it. It was my daughter’s birthday and they surprised her with a cake and souvenir bag. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the Chinese dinner we had at their Chinese restaurant was delicious. The room was spacious, clean with a bath on the balcony. 2 pools, excellent kids indoor play area and access to the beach. Nothing. The hotel was clean, spacious, well attended and maintained with lots of things to do.

But basically these guys did their best to keep my family satisfied from start to finish to compensate the minor hiccups. Minor things we can forget such as property maintenance (after the amazing service)

The underwater restaurant is great! The bed and pillow could be more comfortable for our own experience.

Love the deep aquarium - the species of aqua life and their numbers were just nice for that space…pls do not add more or ensure a good swimming space for them. Sand Flies…got bitten badly on our first evening likely at Cabana where we had drinks/snack and a short stroll at the beach just in front.

I understand it's a resort but the location was surrounded by duty free malls. No local shopping malls, supermarket etc. it was also hard for us to order food in as we didn't have a local number. The staff however went the extra mile to help us with. Resort food is very expensive

• Jana_c (9/5): We like the hotel, but expected a bit more. - Generally the service coincide well with good practices of Intercontinental, namely good and properly equipped room, it is not necessary to ask them to bring toiletries or something, everything is in place. Personnel is attentive and tries to do their best. Coming to Hainan today you should be aware that practically nobody could speak English (and most probably other languages as well), few of them can understand, and you should be patient enough to explain what you want. If you succeed, everything will be done in a blink of an eye and completely in accordance with what was understood. I recommend having mobile internet available to use on-line translation services, which is helpful, but not a guarantee. Hotel restaurants are good quality, but extremely expensive. Breakfast was nice, especially its Chinese dishes, Western part was much more dull and usual. Swimming pools are in perfect condition (as for me, they were too shallow). And it is a pool with sea water, fishes and turtles, which is worthy to mention, and they organise aqualung diving there ;-) instead of open sea. It could be mentioned that there is a duty-free shopping centre nearby where there are a number of good (maybe not very cheap) restaurants, which are twice cheaper than ones in the hotel. Everyone who comes to Hainan must be aware that it is prohibited to swim in the sea except the few beaches, and this hotel, which is the front-line on the perfect beach, is not the exception. Discussing the mistakes we faced in service, one can write a novel about, but all problems were resolved, and we feel it rather funny than disappointing.

• Jenny (10/5): All in all we had a wonderful time in this hotel, it is really huge and beautiful, food was great, everyone was very nic - Underwater restaurant, Wechat concierge service, pools with foamparty, billard table, huge breakfast selection, beautiful garden, spacious room with bathtub on balcony, fancy hairdryer and electric curtains, beautiful beach, shopping centers with dining options right next to hotel / across the street The room had no closets to store our clothes and belongings, two sinks in the bathroom but only one handsoap, generally a little too much perfume in the soap / body wash / shampoo, swimming at the beach not allowed
• Joeyyim (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was nice and generally helpful. The room is clean and the bed is big enough. The hotel is closed to the duty free shopping mall and provides free parking space, which comes with EV charger (charging is not free). Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from the breakfast on the last day. As I returned home, I started vomitting. The experience deters me from booking this hotel next time. Due to government policy, swimming at the hotel beach is not allowed.

• Han (10/5): A great location for family trip - Great location for accessing the duty free shop and visit Atlantis. Super beautiful and secluded private beach. The service was very good. We could get a crib and a step chair for our toddler. The kids center is also very nice. lots of activities. The food menu for room service is not the best.

• Xiaotong (9/5): I really like the staff at IHG reception; my room cleaning staff: Shui Ping; the location, food and everything - Everything was great, food, staff, executive lounge was fab.! Beach was close… Sometimes in the morning outside the room is very noisy, with kids running and shouting. That’s the only thing.
• Alexander0507 (2/5): Outdated hotel with little activities. - Outdated hotel with little activity. Stayed there right before New Year Eve and had to move to a different hotel because it was not what we expected. Personnel only speaks Chinese. With today’s technology it is not a problem but very uncomfortable. It was just one or two guys who were able to speak a little English but we always had to search them. Audibility in the room is terrible. Everything that happens in the common corridor feels like it happens in your room. Even though the swimming pool is very nice and warm (about 32C/95F), good for kids, used towels which were collected from the pool has been just dried and given back as new. They do not wash them. Absolutely unhygienic… We had breakfast in the lounge on 17th floor. Breakfast itself was ok but they clean tables only after you ask them. Otherwise they stay dirty for quite a while. I asked for a juice glass but they brought me a coffee cup, saying that they don’t have juice glass at the moment. Overall impression is not very negative but at the same time not positive at all. I do not recommend the hotel. There are better places in Sanya.

The whole working team tried their best to help us and created a good ambiance for all guests. 1,the facilities are old,also the plants are not that well designed. 2,full of children,much noise. 3.the quality of breakfast needs to be improved.
• Erin (10/5): The best hotel I've visited in Sanya - This hotel was well designed, fancy, comfortable, considerate and well maintained. We upgraded to a room on higher floor and got fantastic sea view. You can watch sun rise sitting in the couch on the balcony or just lying in bed, which was a huge bonus. Room was beautiful and spacious. A lot of things to do in the Hotel. Definitely worth the price and will visit again. All good. Nothing to complain about.

• F1141JZannap (10/5): A very welcoming stay! - You really do get what you pay for here! Pricey (by our standards) but a first rate experience. The large room was beautifully kitted out with an exceedingly comfortable bed, quiet room, plenty of lounging around areas and the balcony complete with large bathtub was wonderful, from which we could savor the view of the beautiful green gardens and beach which were stunning! We pay a yearly fee of $200 for Ambassador status and therefore were upgraded to a top floor room which included the executive club lounge. The food available both there and in the larger ground floor restaurant was very good, clearly catering more for the Chinese clientele which is to be expected :-) The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us and look after us during our stay, assisting us with a hospital visit as well as during the more usual aspects of a hotel visit. I cannot commend enough, Joanna Du the Rooms Manager, Lina Tang in Reception, Ethan the concierge and also Skpe, the manager of the Executive Lounge. Each of them went above and beyond to welcome and support us during our stay. Thank you all so much!
• lauridseny2015 (10/5): Lovely time with amazing staff - Feeling the need to praise this property, especially at this difficult time of frequent test and lockdown. Even so, the hotel as a whole is still striving to give guests a sense of vacation, while providing the necessary sanitary measures. My hotel contact Austin was extremely kind and helpful, who catered to every need of mine. Would definitely come back again for the nice view and hospitality.

• Djxcc (10/5): Amazing view and good service ! - Good staff and hotel environment. Seems a lot more is being down to improve the surroundings and neighboring mall. Promises more exciting times ahead. The Aquarius lounge and restaurant was a highlight and definitely must visit. Also special thanks to Nina and Lucas who was kind enough to assist us with our packages and paperwork. The staff were warm and extremely friendly. Special thanks to the check in staff who gave us great advice for future travels and also enlightened us about the festive season events. The room itself had a spacious balcony with spleneded sea views. We hope to come back in the near future.
• YIXUANW26 (2/5): Worst experience as an IHG Sprire Elite member - Actually, I am a big fan of IHG properties and have been in Spire Elite status for years. I have to say this was the worst experience among all these properties. Due to the pandemic, the average occupancy rate of Sanya’s hotels is no more than 25% during this trip to Sanya. However, the management of this hotel is still based on profits rather than the convenience of guests or IHG Elite Status tiers. I paid this stay with IHG reward points and was told that they couldn’t offer me the free breakfast owing to cost control at the reception. After I offered to purchase the InterContinental Ambassador membership, the staff still didn’t want to offer the breakfast for my wife until I complained to her supervisor. Worse still, the reception didn’t give me the ¥120 F&B vouchers at all, which should be the benefit of Spire Elite members at greater China properties. To be fair, they gave a room upgrade with great sea view (not a suite room of course) and the breakfast is not bad. I wouldn’t recommend it to you if you wanna use your IHG rewards points with high Elite status tiers here.
• Benny_10Shanghai (10/5): Fantastic family holiday - Hotel was great. Family friendly with excellent suite. We stayed in the family suite, it was very comfortable, large, clean and nicely decorated. The facilities were great for kids, with a nice pool and kids playroom for when we had a rainy day. Good location on the beach and the section of beach was great too. The staff were great which always makes a big difference. Cathy was really helpful during our stay. Doris and the club restaurant staff were fantastic, always polite, helpful and happy. Breakfast was excellent every morning in the cove, massive selection of food and again, staff were superb. Hope to return in December.

• ZongyiHan (10/5): Excellent hotel - This hotel was decorated in 2013, it's not a new hotel in terms of vintage, but its' hotel facility is spick-and-span. The hotel was build by the sea, so I can directly went through the lobbey to the beach, and there were not much people on the beach like the other two bays in Sanya, Yalong bay and Sanya bay. Less people means this hotel is fay away from downtown, it is about 45 minitues to drive from hotel to downtown, but it is very closed to the largest single duty-free shop in the world, Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex. The hotel provides recreation facility for children, and it has the diving experience for adults. I have experienced the scuba diving, it was so cool when you get up so close with ser creatures. The palce I dived like a aquarium, it was surrounded by glass, through the glass, it was undertwater restaurant. On the whole, this hotel is colse to perfect to me, the only fly in the ointment is far from the city center, and there is no restaurants around the hotel. So anyone want to have a place it is quiet, relaxed and stay away from the noisy city to go on holiday, this is hotel is the excellent choice.

Charlie Liu is a nice guy, drive us around in the resort and patiently wait for us taking photos. Escort us all the way to the door. The hotel itself is new, a good choice for business,couple and family.
• 593jonl (10/5): Great overall experience, already planning a return trip - We just had an amazing experience at the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort in mid-January, during our first ever trip to Hainan. The hotel grounds were beautiful, and we loved the layout of our room, our view of the beach, and the large aquarium downstairs. We were also really impressed by the level of service, and grateful General Manager Beatrice and her staff were so attentive to our stay, including the beautiful flowers and towel animals that greeted us in our room. Club Manager Doris was particularly helpful, immediately connecting with us via WeChat after booking. She quickly helped us arrange our transportation from the airport and kept us informed of all the hotel’s COVID measures, including the COVID test we needed to get before leaving Beijing. She also set up dinner reservations for our special occasion at the hotel’s signature restaurant, which involved a flurry of special touches, including a private musical performance at our table. We began plotting ways to extend our trip almost as soon as we arrived, but ultimately failed to find a reason our bosses would appreciate. We definitely plan to return though and soon. I’d recommend this hotel to all of my family and friends and would suggest they book a room with club access. Drinks and snacks while enjoying the view from the 17th floor club was also a highlight.
• Wolfgang (8/5): Schwimmen / Baden im Meer nicht erlaubt - Hotel an sich ist sehr gut. Schöne Anlage mit gutem Service. Zimmer sind großzügig mit einem schönen Badezimmer. Aquarium Restaurant ist definitiv ein Besuch wert. Was uns aber sehr gestört hat, ist das der Strand obwohl sehr schön, nicht zum Sonnenbaden und schwimmen freigegeben ist. Laut aussage auf Anordnung der Provinz Regierung. Und nur zum Spazieren gehen am Strand würde ich da nicht mehr hingehen. Pool ist ok aber richtig schwimmen im Meer ist etwas anderes.
