• Gadzekpo (4/5): - Close proximity to the mall. Sufficient space for 3 persons Loads of roaches crawling around. They were in the kitchen drawers, bedrooms, everywhere. Dirt in closets, corners, underneath sofa cushion. Kitchen cabinet underneath the sink had plenty of plastic bottles. Garbage? Bad bad bad

• Abigail (1/5): THIS UNIT - Poor Location, Badly managed. - The unit is advertised as "centrally located" which according to the host means you need to put up with noise, bad smells and a tiny "balcony" that overlooks the Uber Scooter communal bathrooms. We stayed for 5 min and then left, the unit smelled "lived in" and the location is not great. With that said - I am sure there are other units in this building that are much nicer. This one however is not nice, we didn't even bother trying to get our money back as the host said that we should read the description better.

• Akhona (10/5): All in all I enjoyed my stay - Everything else was good and it’s closer to the mall The fridge had ice couldn’t close the lower part
• Martinho (2/5): Very disappointing and completely waste of money. - The only positive is the fact that the property is located closer to Rosebank Mall. The poor attendance from the property staff, as they don’t have a customer responsive behavior. During the 4 days the property was not cleaned, linen and towels not changed, waste not removed, from the window we saw people urinating, no one from the property showed interest in checking if we were happy, they only presented themselves on check out only to disturb us.

Quando cheguei, toquei a campainha da recepção e o recepcionista ignorou-me. Graças a um hospede que chegou nomomento e abriu-me a porta de entrada. No apartamento não existe nenhuma informação de como e onde depositar o lixo e infelizmente ninguém passa por ali para perguntar se está tudo bem e se o hospede precisa de alguma assistência.

La communication avec le bailleur est également appréciable rapide et efficace. Tout etait très bien si je peux émettre un petit détail c’est le canapé qui n est pas très confortable tout le reste est parfait en bon état et propre.

• Sharon (7/5): Great location ! - The Median Rosebank is perfect just because of the location . It’s just a few step away from the Zone and Rosebank Mall ! The property has a bad smell, informed the owner but nothing to help even with the window open it was not pleasant staying there, I paid cleaning tax but didn’t have the apartment cleaned even once .

• TSAONE (10/5): My stay was amazing — everything was convenient, safe, and perfectly located! - The apartment is perfect! It’s close to so many restaurants, Starbucks, and Rosebank Mall — everything is within walking distance. Ubers drop you right at the entrance, which is super convenient. The security is excellent and very friendly. Highly recommend! Nothing
• jasmin (1/5): disgraceful, uninterested and simply arrogant - Good Lord, i can't believe Booking.com dont vet rentals. this was an absolute nightmare. We got there at 2-30. despite giving our booking ref we were told there isnt a booking. we had to then wait for them to get hold of hostaway. We left to go eat. Got back at 4pm where it must have been the most traumatic experience. The security attitude is "we just work here we dont know what to do" they dont have a reception so you must wait for the owner to give permission for your check in, The day before we had to send our ID documents of the guests checking in. we duly did that. IT TOOK ME TO CALL MY LAWYER FOR ADVISE, SHE ADVISED I CALL THE POLICE TO BREAK THE DOOR LOCK AS I PAID FOR MY ACCOMODATION IN FULL SO THE MEDIAN APARTMENTS HAD TO GIVE ME MY KEY. The irony was the minute i called the police which time it was now after 4pm, suddenly the security says "the owner is calling now" I am dissapointed booking.com allows this. there should be some legal action taken against a booking where they simply refuse to give you the key or there is nobody to meet you to give the key. The Media harrassed us non stop from the time we made the booking. Please please please remove them from you site. This was my worse travelling experience ever. We sat for 3 hours on the day we paid for. the second apartment check in was 3pm, when we got there the lady was still in her pyjamas,
• Shavera (7/5): It was okay for a short visit. It is not ideal for long stays. - The location was close to amenities. Towels were provided Necessary facilities provided The traffic congestion to get to the hotel was terrible. The apartment only had 3 seater couch and it was not comfortable. I registered 4 guests but security did not allow the 2 guests entrance unless I went to fetch them and let them out of the building. What was the purpose of then registering them. The 1 bathroom had a tub with no shower or telephone shower in the tub. We usually prefer showers. No hair dryer was provided.

• Nanthikan (10/5): - The apartment is conveniently located, with easy access to the Gautrain and the first stop of the City Sightseeing bus. There are also many restaurants nearby. This is an excellent location for those who wish to admire the Jacaranda trees, as they line the streets in the vicinity, offering a beautiful and stunning sight. The room is very clean, well-equipped with all necessary facilities, and comfortable. The premises are very secure, and the security guards are most helpful. None

• jasmin (1/5): horrible - we arrived at 2-30 pm. the security had no knowledge of our arrival, they couldnt get hold of the host. we rented 2 x apartments, we were given one key only. We got to the apartment at 3pm, a lady opened the door in her pyjamas telling us it isnt 3pm yet! the second apartment the security kept saying they couldn't get hold of the host, we left to eat, got back at 4pm, same story, I had to call my lawyer for advise, only when she said call the police to break the lock as you have shown the security proof of payment. whilst on the phone with the police the host called which i found very ironic considering we were there since 2-30 trying to get hold of her. The area is good, the apartments are clean, however the service is not worth it at all. There are no hosts physically at the property, you must deal with security who is emphatic they have nothing to do with guests. I have travelled the world, please don't book here. there is no cleaning service, you are only given 1 x bath towel per person, so if you on holiday know you will have to clean daily as well as buy your own towels. the service is pathetic

• Linda (5/5): Overall, I had an unpleasant stay. it simply wasn’t the level of comfort or luxury that was promised, and I left feeling - Its proximity the mall. I understand that the accommodation is self-catering, but I found some of the policies and conditions to be unnecessarily strict and disappointing. Only one toilet roll was provided, and the limit on electricity use felt excessive. The “no visitors” policy was a major inconvenience, as it meant I had to spend my time at nearby restaurants in the rains instead of being able to host anyone, something I wish I had known before booking. Additionally, there was no WiFi available, which was another great disappointment and inconvenience, especially for an international guest. Again, something I wish I had known before booking. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with utensils and pots that were inadequate for preparing a proper meal. The balcony was also not clean, which made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor space.

• Andreas (9/5): - Everything was comfortable. Security was very nice. The apartment is gorgeous, spacious and with a lot of light. Very clean. Beds are comfortable as they xan be. Going out of the building, there are busy restaurants and a mall right infront of it. And even though it was so busy outside, we didn't hear one thing about this inside the apartment. Kitchen utensils where old. But usable.

• Sharon (9/5): Fantastic Location and Thoughtful Hospitality - The unit is in a superb location — just steps away from Rosebank Mall, Gautrain station, and easy Uber access, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The space was spotless and well-prepared on arrival, and the beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night’s rest. Key collection from the lockbox was simple and hassle-free. We also felt very safe thanks to the friendly and helpful security team throughout our stay. Although heating wasn’t included initially, we were really touched by the owner's kindness in providing a fan heater. It made a noticeable difference and was greatly appreciated. For a budget-friendly option, this unit truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and care. On departure the handover process was a little confusing. Although we were told we could leave the key with security, the guard on duty — whom we hadn’t seen previously —refused to accept it, requiring us to return it to the lockbox. Clearer communication here would’ve helped, especially with an Uber driver waiting. The apartment itself was functional and budget-friendly, but it felt a bit bare due to the lack of curtains on the sliding doors and windows. Adding them could really boost the comfort and ambiance of the space. That said, the owner's gesture of providing a fan heater despite no formal heating was genuinely appreciated and made a big difference.

Would love to stay there again but hate the way the owners handled the water issue. There was no water the entire time I was there, and the owners couldn't care less. Just said it was an on-going town problem, but I was never informed of this prior to my arrival. Only one 5L was full under the sink. The rest were empty. When I asked for some of my money back so I could book at a place with water. They ignored my request instead offered me a 20% discount on my next stay and requested a 5-star review for Booking.com.

• Chantal (10/5): Over all the stay was very comfortable, and all amneties were in our reach. - I like the apartment as it was very safe and comfortable. I could sleep comfortable and the securities are very friendly and helpful on each shift. I did not like that I could not have a visitor over due to the company policies. We got word that we have a death in the family in Cape Town and since we weren't in Cape Town, a friend of mine in Johannesburg could not come over to us for comfort, because of the company's strict policy so I had to leave the building to meet up with them.

• Faried (5/5): Although our stay was central to visit our family & friends, but was very disappointed with the unit - The location was perfect The actual unit contents was pathetic, & not very clean at all. Heater not working, ironing board broken, iron was dirty, dustpan broken, chipped plates, 2 chairs broken,stained duvet, a rusted grater,when we opened dishwasher a cockroach fell out. Therefore owner should thoroughly inspect actual unit. We have never had bad experiences before staying at the Median but this particular unit really disappointed us.
