• John (9/5): - Rural, remote property. Impressive location and views. Convenient for local restaurants, bars and small supermarket. Very good value. The supermarket stock is very limited. The property is unfinished and a bit rough around the edges.
• Andrej (10/5): Velmi skvělé ubytování. - Ubytování nabízí více míst pro trávení času. Uvnitř. Venku. Nachází se na skvělém vyvýšeném místě. Určitě ho ocení milovníci přírody. Každe ráno jsme snídali při východu slunce. Večer večeře na terásce s květinami. K ubytování nelze dojet přímo autem. Pro nás to ale nebyl problém a naopak se nám to líbilo.

• Mary (7/5): - Jose is a truly excellent host - friendly, responsive, going out of his way to be helpful! The location is absolutely stunning - great walks, great views, characterful village. Do bring food, though, as the local restaurants' menus are limited and the local shop is basic. The place is as pictured, the bed was quite comfy, and the wifi worked great. Unfortunately, a storm rolled through while we were there, and the house is pretty leaky - water came in under the door and around window panes in surprising amounts. Not a huge deal, though, and Jose has said it will be fixed. It was also a bit chilly.

• Petra (9/5): Superb - It was a real rural house in a beautiful rural village surrounded with rocks, mountains and ocean. Unbelievably beautiful area. xxx nothing

• Natalia (9/5): Great views - The place is wonderfully located, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the patio and the living room. You can have your breakfast outside and feel like you're in Colombia. The patio has a roofed area with a table and chairs and big green plants, which makes it cozy. It is a great starting point to Playa Benijo and other trails in Anaga mountains. There is a roof where we left our laundry to dry, you can see the ocean from there, also you can see the ocean using a second door in the living room which opens up to the other side of Taganana. I believe for this price, it is a good option. Of course, you can see from the pictures that the place is not super stylishly decorated, I would say it is a little run down, but you have the whole house with a yard to yourself and it simply feels like home. We felt safe living the door and windows open when we were in, letting the air in. The master bedroom is spacious, you wake up looking at an avocado tree outside. José is very communicative, responds instantly to all the questions, gave very clear directions on how to get to the place, where to park and how get the key. He gave extra suggestions regarding where we could have dinner late at night and do some shopping. Our stay was great. The place is a little run down and not well decorated but you can see that from the pictures. It definitely Has the potential to be quite a luxurious place, but its would require some investments.
• Bird-dogging (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is very comfortable. There are two bedrooms (one with the bunk beds and one that can easily accommodate 3 people). You will find everything what you need in the kitchen. You can use the terrace and watch mountains and fruit trees in the yard. Finally we lived the place and we were sorry that we were changing the location. The information about parking is a little bit misleading. Once you know how it is organised is much better. You can't drive near the house. You have to park around 200 metres away and walk. Don't bring a suitcase, it's much better and comfy with the backpacks.

• Aleksandra (10/5): Wonderfull place to stay in the mountains by the ocean - It was a relaxing holiday in the mountains by the ocean. The house is in a good location, close to parking and restaurants, and has a beautiful view of the mountains. The house has everything you need for your holiday. Roque, Almaciga and Benijo beaches can be reached in 5 minutes by car, I also saw buses from Taganana to these beaches. Jose is a very nice and helpful host, we were happy to meet him. Everything was wonderful.
• Václav (9/5): Superb - As a people from the village, we really enjoyed the special spirit of that place and this end of the island. We dont really appreciate huge holliday resorts, but rather quiet places with nice beaches, mountains, trails and people. And it is all there. 🙃
