Guest Reviews
- Tadeu (8/5): Excelente option of accommodation in Rome! Shower area could be a bit more specious. It was of a typical European adjusted style I've seem elsewhere.
- Pedro Enrique Bravo Ponce (8/5): - Buenas ubicacion La cama
- Ruslan Goryushko (8/5): Excellent location and a wonderful host. - I really liked both the location and the owner of the hotel.
So, two pieces of advice:
The hotel is perfect for those arriving by bus to Termini, because it’s located right across the street from the bus stop — you just need to cross the road.
Make sure to meet Francesco as soon as possible. He’ll recommend great nearby places where the food is delicious and reasonably priced. I especially loved the coffee bar, where they made incredible coffee.
And the location is great because right across the street, inside Termini, there’s an excellent restaurant area called Mercato Centrale, where you can always have a nice meal. The absence of a TV in the room and the thin walls in the rooms.
Excellent location and a wonderful host.
- ANA (7/5): -
- Carmen (10/5): We had a great time in Rome, high season, room was nice, quiet, private. Stairs! Would stay here again! - Location
Near ray transportation to everything
Clean and comfortable At night neighbor was sketchy
- Cris (6/5): Our host Francesco couldn’t do enough for us and was extremely helpful. He met us upon our arrival, and did everything t - It is in a very central location The room was small but comfortable, however, there was no TV.
- Monroy (9/5): Great! - Francesco was an amazing host, very welcoming and with great recommendations ✨
- Mourad (7/5): Good -
- Bernice (7/5): Good - Francesco very helpful
- Ecem (10/5): Francesco was very friendly, he gave me good recommendations!! + bed was very comfy <3 -
- Sanor (7/5): Good -
- Irini (5/5): Passable - Good location, right next to train station. However a bit sketchy as a neighbourhood and building itself. Bathroom ceiling was mouldy, the heating in bathroom rusty and not very clean to hang a towel on. Towels were a bit damp. Window in the room did not close well, creating more noise from the road. Loud banging late at night.
- Hall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federico (3/5): I would not go back even if they paid me. - The hotel is located next to the Termini station which provides great access to public transport. There are also supermarkets and the Mercato Centrale nearby which are great options to eat. Loud, drunk, and high people outside the building. Homeless sleeping outside. Dirty towels. Mattresses older than the Colosseum. Disgusting vent/extractor in the bathroom. Common areas smell bad.
- Tinka (8/5): super! - It was a very nice and clean place. The location is not the best part of Termini, but once you're inside, you don't see anything of that anymore.
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Location close to terminal
Good host Not good lighting.
- Nanami (5/5): Passable -
- Jonathan (10/5): Unbeatable location, good value stay near Rome Termini - Francesco is a very friendly host. The location is absolutely perfect, exceedingly close to termini. The fridge was a bit small for the number of guests staying.
- Ugnė (9/5): Nice stay for good price - Unique old building, very good location, 15-20min walk to the main monuments, 2min walk to centre bus, trains and metro station Very loud, windows to the busy street
- Eray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -
- Aubrey (9/5): Superb -
- Danneb (5/5): Nothing to write home about - Over the years I stayed many times in accommodations close to Termini Station because of its convenience. Francesco Romestay is across the street from the station where you find the connections to Rome airports or you can walk or take subway to the center of Rome. But don't expect too much of a Roman or Italian experience from this place. It is an Asian run place catering mostly to Asian tourists. Shared kitchenette is far from what you may expect from a European place and overall the place is not very clean.
- Aleksandra (6/5): Fine if you want to be close to Termini. - Francesco is very polite and has tips prepared for guests.
The location is convenient for Termini station, but not perfect for sightseeing.
Nice touch with water bottles in the room. The smell in the room was horrible, mostly from the bathroom. Nothing helped. Makes you want to leave the room.
- Louis (8/5): I would 100% recommend Francesco Romestay - the location and the hospitality and help was outstanding. unfortunately the two days we stayed there were major roadworks at night which made it very noisy and difficult to sleep
- Ian (5/5): rome is not cheap - position to train station bathroom to small suits small people
- Isobel (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Great Location, friendly host. Would stay again. - The host was very friendly. Good location to train station to go anywhere in Rome.
Was great for a 2 night stay. Shower is very small and the toilet seat was broken :(
- Eduardo (5/5): A bit scary neighborhood but conveniently located. - The building location is kinda scary honestly, the local neighborhood is plastered with graffiti. Honestly, i debated finding a different place to stay the night. I never met the host, but was great, she was very accessible thru whatsapp and very helpful. The host was great, Once inside, the building is not too bad. The room was small but adequate for 2 people. The bathroom was adequate, the shower door was broken. Very close to the bus and metro station which is incredibly convenient. A 10-15 min bus ride to great spots such as the Spanish steps and the Fountain of Trevi.
- Mocejūnaitė (9/5): Superb -
- Abeba (2/5): There is no't TV and ond tolet bathroom - I like air-conditioning Konfertabl please
- Larry (8/5): A great place, highly recommend! - Right next to Termini Train Station. (Centralized with all forms of transportation). Great AC. Host was nice and informative. Kitchen is a shared kitchen. Not made very clear on booking info.
- Jonatan (9/5): Amazing hostel with everything you need. The location is convenient but a bit rough. - Very clean and nice staff. Good AC. In terms of the actual facility, there were no problems. Worth the price for 2 students. Convenient check out. Close to metro line. The Termini station is a bit sketchy at night. Nothing happened but you sometimes felt a bit uneasy. Also, a substantial amount of trash and graffiti near the hotel.
- Kateryna (10/5): Exceptional - very convenient location to Rome Termini. very friendly host. who recommended locations near the apartments
- Selin (3/5): Poor -
- Will (3/5): Poor -
- Alina (10/5): Fantastic! Dream accommodation 😍 - It was clean, everything was working properly (A/C, shower, cooker etc), towels were changed, the owner had provided us with the map of Rome, points for visiting and friendly recommendations, he was always helpful and friendly to us, even when we needed something, like iron - he always got it for us, so couldn’t be more happier with it!
Also the place is in the great location especially for tourists and travelers, near the Metro and Train Station, also all the sights are maximum 30 minutes on foot, which is really handy!
Thank you to Francesco for providing such excellent accommodation 😍
- Anna-maria (6/5): Good place to explore - The host was nice and attentive. The location is very good! The shower was moldy and there was an old showe curtain. Bed wasnt very comfortable. There was no power in the socket next to the bed. Electicity was on and off.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jagoda (8/5): Our stay in Rome was great, partially due to the Francesco's amazing food reocomendations - The owner was very hospitable and kind, he gave us amazing advice regarding public transport and recomended really good places to eat. The contact was also really good. The room was tidy, I was positively surprised by the lack of dust at the bedheads and radiator (they are usually skipped in general cleaning). The place had a common kitchen that allowed us to store our leftover food. It was also very peaceful and quiet. It was also very well situated, it was short walk away from a metro/train station as well as numerous bus stops. Moreover, the airconditioning was a godsend. Even though the localisation was a great and the place itself was quiet the close proximity to one of the major train stations caused us troubles sleeping at night due to the constant noise, shouting and slaming on the horn by the buses and taxis. It is not necesarily a vice of this place just something to be mindful of if you're a light sleeper.
- Raffaella (10/5): Exceptional - The host offered great support. I had several hiccups in my trip and Francesco's courtesy saved the day. It was very easy to communicate and he accommodated for few changes in plans . He also gave very good advice about moving around in Rome.
The accommodation is basic but clean, functional, and welcoming. The location is extremely convenient being close to Termini station, to the stop of buses to/from Fiumicino airport and to/from Tiburtina station.
- Anoop (10/5): Very good - Very good location as it's close to Rome termi, and Francesco is a really helpful host Nothing
- Stan (5/5): Don't expect much from communal apartment with shared kitchen and own bathroom in China town area. - Excellent owner
Great location It is a not an individual apartment - it is room in communal apartment with shared kitchen and own bathroom.
Messy area
Not clean venue
Old facilities
Not really soundproof space
Rooms are not cozy at all
I think is a little bit expensive.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great, check in process was amazing, and all the details given about Rome attractions, restaurants and transport was amazing
- John (9/5): Great location - It was a great stay close to train station and bus to airport.
All sights were in walking distance as to were lovely restaurants.
- David (9/5): Room at Termini - Very friendly host who is very willing to help you with any questions you might have about Rome and all the things you can do there.
The room was clean. Airconditioning was working properly. The beds are alright. You will have a nice view looking at the side of the Termini station. Nothing
- Yanina (10/5): Highly recommend! - The host was amazing, extremely friendly and prepared with recommendations for food, sightseeing and gelato. There is also a shared kitchen that has all you need. The location of the apartments was great, easy to go to most places by 20-25 min walk, which is great.
- Karoliina (8/5): Very good - Awesome location right next to train station and walking distance to all places to see in Rome. Host is really friendly, giving you some great tips for your stay and everything worked smoothly with him. Place needs some update and maybe some deep cleaning once a while. But for few nights it worked just fine.
- Salome (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shuk (9/5): Superb - Stayed there for two nights, no hot water on the first night but texted the owner and he dealt with it super fast!! Super hot water instantly. Also recommended where to go and replied very fast with any questions we asked!
- Zach (8/5): Very good - Francesco is extremely welcoming and helpful with lots of recommendations for food and activities. Located directly across from train station. Although close proximity to train station, area was a bit rundown
- Beatrice (4/5): Disappointing - It was close to the train station. The host was knowledgeable and helpful. The room needs some maintenance work—the toilet seat was broken, and the shower was dirty. The sad thing is that we pay extra to get the place clean! The kitchen was a shared kitchen and dirty. Seriously dirty. Some people boil their milk in the kettle! The fridge needs a clean. We may be tourists, but we do expect a level of hygiene and cleanliness.
There is no TV in the room, which some people may want. There are scary people outside the apartment watching your every move, going in and out—you need to be very alert to stay safe. It is expensive for a small room with two single beds, a shower, and no other facilities. Do some homework before leaving home.
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ali (9/5): Superb - They were very kind respectful and supportive; the owner of the room is too nice they tried to support with all available things restaurant's locations, places to visit and gelato :) The location i mean the Neiborhood
- John (8/5): Comfortable room, friendly/knowledgeable owner/staff - Comfortable room
Friendly and knowledgeable owner/staff
Good shower.
Good location
Leaving our suitcase in a secure area in the time between checking out and leaving for the airport People hanging around the front of the property drinking alcohol
Very busy area
Metal window frames and single glazing do not block out much noise
Bottom of the shower enclosure very rusty and encrusted with limescale
Very low water pressure from the bathroom sink tap.
- Musaab (1/5): Bad -
- Neil (7/5): Good -
- Abdulmoaz (4/5): It was a bit higher amount of money for a place like this - Near to Termini central train and bus station and Francesco the owner was very friendly and responsive on whatsApp There is a smell on the building, and bad smell on the bathroom and was very noisy from the street but they provide ear plugs if you like them.
- Gillian (10/5): great location to visit all the sights. -
- Katerina (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect to move around Rome, as well as taking the train to go to other cities.
The room was very clean and Francesco was very helpful and willing to give us tips on how to move around Rome and suggesting spots to visit, restaurants etc
- Megan (9/5): Superb - Very clear instructions from Francesco on how to get there from the airport. Right next to train station and metro which helped in getting around. Great budget accommodation. Recommend Nothing.
- Raffaele (8/5): Very good -
- Tekeş (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (10/5): Francesco made the stay comfortable and helped us get the most out of Roma experience!! :) - The location was exceptional it was right next to termani Roma which made it very easy to travel around. Francesco himself was wonderful and full of great tips. He always offered advice on what to do and had google lists already set up for food, attractions and gelato which was super convenient! Way to go Francesco! The water would change temperature without touching the knobs and would get super hot.
- Chen (10/5): Exceptional - Just in front of the Termini station very easy to reach. Comfortable room with ensuite bathroom. Just perfect for travelers like me who likes to goes around
- Berry (8/5): Very good -
- Evgeny (10/5): Great stay near the train station - Very clean room, has an AC and steps away from the train/bus station. I would definitely stay here again. NA
- Salima (9/5): It definitely added to an already great trip - The host was very warm, friendly and super helpful with directions as it was my friend and I's first time in Rome. N/A
- Yao (10/5): Exceptional - great apartment, very convenient location right next to the Rome Termini (you can easily arrange airport shuttle bus to and fro Fiumicino airport), host met us when we checked in and was very warm and welcoming, shared with us about different places to visit and food recommendations and how to avoid tourist traps, great stay overall
- Nimisha (8/5): Great value - Great location. Host was great and very accommodating. The air conditioning wasn't working in one room and we got moved to another room promptly. Shared kitchen between rooms and basic but great value Better beds as these were a bit uncomfortable. Also we couldn't find spoons in the kitchen on a couple of days
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect! I would definitely stay there again - Location It would be awesome if it had a key box to do self check in instead of just waiting until he comes to open the flat.
- Lasha-giorgi (8/5): Very good - it was close to Termini station and buss stop for airport shuttle buss, also near place was lots of markets. Host Francesco was very helpful places he recommended was great especially pizza place, he also gave recommendations for small cafes where you can drink coffee and have a lunch, how to move around the city to see good places.
building also has old vintage elevator which was kind of cool to use.
- Marijana (8/5): Our stay was nothing but great! - Francesco as a host is very kind and helpful. Also, the location of the property is great. Termini station is just on the other side of the street, while almost all city attractions are close by (20-30 min away cca). N/A
- Andjela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cyle (10/5): As a solo traveller, I highly suggest this accommodation - The host was very accommodating and helpful in terms of referrals to the best places to visit and dine out. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
- Ieva (6/5): Good location - Couple minutes by foot from Termini station. Good location. Private bathroom, there is kitchen with oven and microwave.
Everything what you could need. I liked that no extra fee was taken because was check in at night. Noise was always from street, cars and bus beeping. Because its bus and train station nearby. Sewerage system smelled really bad in bathroom.
- Valeriy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darya (8/5): Friendly host and good location to reach touristic places - Amazing friendly host, very helpful with "tourist questions")
its Room in many bedroom apartments had some minor noise in the morning, but overall it's very cozy. was a bit uncomfy with neighbors from other buildings (for solo girl traveler)
- Zofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Foy (5/5): Passable -
- Achilleos (8/5): The room was good and comfortable and also there was a friendly hosts -
