- Louise (8/5): Fantastic Location, lovely hosts. - Location was fantastic, comfy bed and good size room. Hosts were friendly and very helpful, very secure location and we had no issues finding it. Also baggage storage near by is a plus. Close to top attractions and places to eat and drink. Breakfast in cafe was great for a couple of visits but could get a bit boring for longer stays. Unfortunately the cafe next door is noisey at night and although double glazed and block out curtains if you’re not a sound sleeper definitely bring ear plugs. Minor detail but milk in the room and drinking glasses would have been welcome.
- Simone (9/5): Sono stato molto bene - Comoda accogliente e pulita Niente
- Lillie (9/5): - Ideal location, close to Campo Di fiori and a quick walk to all the main attractions. Lovely room with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and attractive decor. Host was very easy to communicate with and accessing the room was very straightforward. Our room was a little tight for two. A luggage rack instead of a vintage desk, despite being a charming touch, would be more useful in a room that size
- Rob (8/5): -
- Luca (10/5): Harmony and design at their best! - What a wonderful place Full of harmony and love for design!
Ontbijt in nabijgelegen café was erg lekker. Heel authentiek. Kamer is compact.
- Gina (10/5): Amazing location, kind and helpful hosts! - Great location, close to many sights. Madeline and Barbara were amazing helping me out when I needed to go see a doctor. Very comfortable, stylish and quiet room.
- Beverley (10/5): Perfect accomodation when visiting Rome - Quirky beautiful room The cafe was closed so breakfast was delivered in a cute little box
- Gebhardt (5/5): It served the purpose - I liked that it was near a market, a square, a fountain, great restaurants and shops. The free breakfast at the place next door was nice. There were 4 keys to get in, there were many stairs (the elevator was not always available)which was never made clear as I have a hip/knee problem, there was no balcony, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the air conditioner was loud all night long (clicking or banging). Sorry, being truthful.
- Lise (9/5): -
- Janet (9/5): -
- Marina (7/5): - The location was really good.
The room was good; a little tight. The only problem was the bar downstairs until 3am at least at night. You can hear people shouting really well.
- Graeme (10/5): An amazing home away from home. - Our hosts Madeline and Barbara were amazing and so helpful. The instructions were perfect and it is in a great location to walk Rome.
- Guest (8/5): localização excelente no centro histórico de roma, da pra fazer tudo a pé -
- Marissa (10/5): - Tolles Zimmer in super Lage!
- Zsolt (5/5): A célnak megfelelt.
- Johannes (10/5): A gorgeous room in a perfect location! - The room was much more spacious than we thought and beautifully styled! The location couldn't be better. We enjoyed having breakfast with the locals at Café Peru downstairs. If we are ever lucky enough to visit Rome again, we will definitely be staying at The Grand Tour again!
- smith (10/5): -
- John (8/5): Very good - The location was excellent for visiting the main sights in Rome on foot. Room was comfortable but a bit small for the price. The layout of the room separated the toilet and the bathroom.
- Blake (9/5): Very good experience all round. - Good breakfast at cafe. Good location very close to piazza navona pantheon and trevi fountain. Excellent hosts Madeline and Barbara were amazing. Will definitely stay again.
- Anonymous (8/5): Great little hotel in great location for a great value. - Great location, very clean, nice decor, nice breakfast box (we were there in a Sunday so the cafe wasn’t open), staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some problems with the lockbox when we left and had to deposit our keys.
- Tracy (10/5): Perfect location and a super price - The location was absolutely perfect! We were able to walk to everything. The hostesses were amazing. And the room was decorated so charmingly.
- Dennis (8/5): Stay was very nice - Location
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing. - So so for breakfast.
Good location. Near to many choice of restaurant plus a supermarket. Many basic facilities were out of order as soon as we checked in. Air Con/TV volumn were all down. They only arranged a technician to fix the air con one day before our checked out date, I.e. 18Jun. I am sure they did it in preparation to welcome the next guest not to be responsible to fix the problem for their existing guests, I.e. us. They even asked us to leave and change to a hotel with their refund to us blaming us for demanding services from a hotel instead of fixing the problems in our room as soon as we checked in.
- Susan (9/5): HEART OF ROME, clean, charming, not crazy expensive. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - Maybe the best location in Rome. Everything you want to do, besides the Vatican and Coliseum, is within a short walk. The apartment was very clean, very safe and the ladies who run it are very polite and helpful. Very well decorated and charming...we loved our stay. Getting into the room was a bit of a challenge....you have to read the directions carefully. There is a lock box that is hard to find and the apartment was behind 4 gates/doors (with different keys)...which was a bit to navigate, but made us feel very safe. The room is a bit small and the bed was pretty firm....other than that.... PERFECT!
- Serina (10/5): We had a lovely stay in the apartment. It was very stylishly and well decorated and comfortable. Great location and good - It was in a great location, central to all the sites and easy to walk everywhere on foot. Nothing
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pedro (4/5): A well-located apartment with helpful hosts, but limited space and amenities make it feel more basic than comfortable. - We enjoyed the central location of the apartment — it’s just steps away from key attractions, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The hosts were responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience smooth. Another highlight was the breakfast at the bar downstairs on weekdays — a nice way to start the day with a local touch. That said, it’s important to note that this is not a hotel, so services are limited — which is fine, but worth mentioning for future guests. The Sunday breakfast, delivered to the door, was disappointing in both quality and presentation (see picture). The room was also quite small, with hardly any space to move around or store luggage. Additionally, the towels provided were very old and had visible holes (see picture), which detracted from the overall comfort.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent Room & great location
- Taşçı (6/5): Pleasant -
- Karen (9/5): This is the perfect place to stay in Rome. - The location is fantastic. Easy to walk to so many of the sites. Near wonderful restaurants. Love the charm of the building.
- Marit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (10/5): It was amazing - It was very clean and in a great location. Walkable to everything, drinks and eats and shopping very close Nothing
- Peter (10/5): Easy to travel around Rome from the property. - Lovely room in a typical flat in Rome. Well appointed. Warm welcome from the host. All was great.
- Sabina (10/5): Centrally located amazing cosy boutique b&b - The furnishings felt like you were in Italy with the gorgeous fresco painting. Location was unbelievable. Close to the best places to eat and shop. Breakfast was a different continental breakfast every morning. Fresh and delicious. Not an American/western breakfast. When we needed our breakfast earlier all we had to do is let them know and they catered for us. Coffee downstairs was delicious. It felt incredibly safe. We will be booking again Nothing.
- Andres (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (9/5): Superb -
- Kimon (9/5): Good location and comfortable stay! - The room was a lovely size and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The room was warm as we stayed there in Winter and the area was quiet with a good coffee shop next door. The breakfast that came with the room was a lovely touch and delicious! The apartment upstairs was being renovated so there was a little banging and sawdust coming from the roof, but this is no fault of the apartment we stayed in. Would still stay there again
- Ivana (8/5): Very good - Perfect location. Good size shower corner. Comfy bed. A bit noisy in the night.
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Gerry (10/5): Hidden Gem - It's exactly as stated but better. The room is lovely and has a window overlooking the quiet street. A perfect location... very close to Camp di Fiori. We walked everywhere from this location. A breakfast consisting of three or four interesting items is delivered every morning. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely stay again.
- Hüseyin (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (9/5): Superb - Perfect location. Excellent hosts. Easy walk to all of Rome. Would stay again.
- Radmila (10/5): Perfect city break in the lovely neighborhood - Perfect location, we walked everywhere. Great selection of restaurants and craft shops in the area. The room was beautifully decorated. None
- Christine (10/5): Best location in the city no matter what price you pay!!! - Best location in the city no matter what price you pay!!! We were treated like family friends that were visiting. Communications with the owners were seamless and quick. The room is decorated so beautifully (I think they own the decor store next door which is beautiful to peek inside). Great restaurants, shopping, gelato, and coffee just outside the door within a block. We walked everywhere and felt safe and comfortable at all hours of the day. Not a thing! Loved it!
- Mertcan (6/5): It was ok but could be better. - Design of the room was very good. We had no trouble about check-in and check-out. TV had Netflix, Disney etc so it was great plus when we come back to room. Location was great, we walked from there to everywhere Breakfast could be better, and the hygiene of the room was not great, If you have a car, parking will be problem. There isn't private area to park your car.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Hayret (8/5): Good for a short stay - Location, comfortable bed Loud toilet fans built inside room, no place to eat breakfast
- Christina (8/5): Just what we needed - It was close to everything and very quiet! Lots of food options. Everything was great, except the bathroom had a strong, pungent fish/musty smell.
- Diego (10/5): Exceptional - I cant say nothing, cause i loved everything!
- Carolyn (9/5): Can’t wait to share with our friends ‘ - The charm of this apartment was splendid. We were met and everything about the apartment was explained. Wonderful recommendation for local dining. The location was perfect for community feel and central to all we wanted to experience in our short visit. The breakfast box was a treat!
- Darlene (10/5): Exceptional - Good correspondence on how to pick up keys etc Central. Great breakfast box.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (10/5): Beautifully decorated room in the middle of Rome. - The property was beautifully laid out and decorated. The room was large - much larger than other places we have stayed at in Rome. Everything was comfortable, clean and practical. The location was excellent in a quiet street just off Piazza Farnese. The Wi-Fi was absolutely fine for our use. This was something I was worried about having read the numerical reviews on Booking.com.
Breakfast was delivered to the door in a cardboard box each morning. We would have liked two portions of fruit (being fruit people) and maybe less cake but that is being unnecessarily picky! Nothing.
- Abeni (10/5): beautiful room, perfect spot and well managed - this property is exactly as advertised. we were initially sceptical due to a lack of reviews, but are so glad we booked! The property is located in the heart of rome and perfectly central for walking to any major exhibit. the room is visually appealing with a tiled floor and timber ceiling. the bed was very comfortable and clean and the shower although eclectic was very functional, pleasant and well maintained. this was a beautiful stay location. we did not see staff once except to discover a beautiful breakfast left by our room door in the mornings. A must book room in Rome! We will be back! The decor was stunning and there was much attention to detail. *extremely minor* there are two loose tiles at the foot of the bed however not likely to move anywhere.
- Milica (10/5): Exceptional - We LOVED the street/location. It’s 10min away from everything, but still quiet and full of locals. Designers shops, cozy restaurants, good bars… Owners we so friendly and provided excellent tips. Will come again and again.
- Karinadjo (10/5): An ideal blend of location, comfort, and hospitality. - I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Tour during my visit to Rome, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The place is perfectly situated with easy access to most of Rome's major attractions. This convenient location made exploring the city a breeze and allowed me to make the most of my time. The room itself is beautifully decorated, reflecting a lot of heart and thought put into every detail. It exudes charm and comfort, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Barbara and Madeline, the hosts, are exceptionally responsive and helpful. They were always available to answer any questions and provide assistance, which greatly enhanced my stay. The bed is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. I enjoyed a classic Italian breakfast of coffee and pastry at the nearby Bar Peru. The staff there are also very friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend the Grand Tour for both solo travelers and couples. It offers everything you need for a delightful stay in Rome. Nothing.
- Ylva (10/5): Perfect location- very charmy! - Fantastic and original! Perfect location close to everything you want to see! Easy check-in and out! Nice AC in the room! Host responding right away to inquiries! Highly recommend! Nothing
- Zere (4/5): Expectetations did not match reality, very dissapointed - The owner was very nice and helpful 1) The breakfast is not actually a breakfast as it was simply a sandwich and a coffee (very plain and quite disappointed)
2) The room wasn’t very clean and had a bit of a weird smell
3) The room is small and doesn’t feel very private
4) The property presents itself as a hotel but it’s a bed and breakfast which is totally unexpected
5)The pillows are extremely uncomfortable
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional - A good location. All attractions can be reached on foot, while the hotel itself is on a fairly quiet street. There is a bus stop five minutes away, very convenient to get from the station. Hosts gave detailed instructions upon check-in, and the sandwiches and coffee in the cafe downstairs were simply excellent. The room was clean and decorated exquisitely.
- Karen (10/5): My daughter and myself decided to visit Rome for the week. We had an amazing time. Walking to all of the restaurants and - The property was just adorable. Our bed was super comfortable and we couldn’t have been any more happy.
- Clifford (8/5): Very good -
- Ivana (10/5): Great location, room and hosts - We really enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. Communicating with the hosts was great—they provided helpful advice both before and during our stay and were always available. The room was clean and had everything we needed and more. Breakfast was available at the bar next to the building (sweet or savory options, plus coffee). The location was amazing—we discovered all the popular places in Rome in just three days, as everything was within walking distance! The only minor downsides were the TV, which had Netflix and YouTube but no regular channels, and the thin pillows. However, these were hardly issues compared to everything else we loved about our stay and we wouldn't mind coming back as well as we are going to recommend this stay to our friends and family.
- Cali (10/5): Wonderful - The room was very thoughtfully designed and had exactly what we needed. We loved the location, such a perfect area in Rome. Barbara was a kind, helpful, and gracious host and we appreciate her hospitality.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (9/5): Comfortable and convenient yet stylish and special - Very well located. Some main attractions around the corner but the accommodation was in a lively local pocket.
Stylish eclectic interior
- Abigail (10/5): Really lovely stay with beautiful room and very kind host - Amazing room ! Decorated beautifully and super comfortable, had a lovely stay with breakfast at the cafe downstairs. The host was lovely and gave us lots of tips and recommendations. No faults
- Sue (9/5): Great room in a great location with lovely helpful hosts - The location was perfect for us as it was equal distance from all of the things we wanted to visit. The hosts were really helpful providing us with recommendations for places to eat and helping us translate emails about the train strike. The room had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend to other travellers. The bar downstairs was a little noisy especially when Italy won their Euros match 🙂 - but with enough lovely Italian wine that wasn’t too much of an issue.
- Fallon (10/5): Lovely Stay! - Great stay! The host was very responsive, polite, and helpful. The location was great for those visiting Rome for a short stay. The interior design was a plus! We loved our stay and felt very comfortable and at home. Another bonus was the free coffee and pastry at Cafe Peru. Thank you so much!!! Another review said poor wifi but our wifi had no issues. nothing it was great!
- Jennifer (10/5): After long days of touring Rome it always felt good to return to our calm oasis in the busy city. - Attentive, caring hosts. Very helpful in recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. Beautiful decor, very safe, quiet spot in an excellent central location. Everything was top-notch. Can't think of anything.
- Daniel (8/5): Very accommodating host. - Safe secure property in a good central location. A little noisy at night
- George (10/5): Perfect location! - Location is fantastic - everything within in walking distance from the Colosseum to the Vatican (we would recommend booking anything tourist related in advance with an early entry!)
Real treat for us was the 17 Caravaggios (some free) all in close proximity.
Spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants within the surrounding piazzas - always worth a look down the side streets, we found some gems!!
Self check in and check out explained perfectly in advance and super handy.
Room was stunning (Byron) only niggle was the boiler light at night. Perhaps a notice reminding late arrivals to keep the noise down would help too!?
Access to extra water (at no charge) toiletries and loo roll was greatly appreciated.
The included breakfast could be better explained - also note the cafe wasn’t open until 8.30am on Sunday.
We had a wonderful stay and would recommend The Grand Tour without hesitation - thank you for having us!!
- Vivien (10/5): Very comfortable beds, Clean, Good Location Kind Staff! - Very comfortable beds, Clean, Good Location
Kind Staff!
- Aida (9/5): Superb - Perfect location
- Shahryar (9/5): Superb - The breakfast was excellent with a range of options to start your day. Moreover, the location is situated in the center of the palaces you need to visit, which can be reached in less than 20 minutes.
- Lenka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xiao (10/5): Exceptional - Very fascinating facility and decoration. Madeline is a very friendly and nice host. Def recommend to book here.
- Ulrich (10/5): Perfect place to visit Rome - Perfect place to visit Rome. We could visit all famous places by foot. The host is very helpful and friendly. Very nice Restaurants are just around the corner.
- Samantha (10/5): Fabulous dog-friendly stay for families and couples - Our stay at The Grand Tour was absolutely fabulous and exceeded our expectations. I travel extensively and this was such a welcoming experience. The B&B included a fabulous breakfast each morning at the Cafe next door which we really appreciated in the mornings (we could even bring our large dog to dine with us). They provided a comfortable dog bed and bowl for our dog to enjoy during his stay - we felt very welcomed with him (they have a sweet dog as well). The grounds are very secure as you go through multiple doorways to enter your room. There is a staircase, but also a small elevator available as well if needed (but the walk was very easy). It is situated in a fabulous area of town that made walking to attractions a breeze. If you have a car, there is a nearby car park that is secure and does not enter the emissions zone. Our bed, pillows and sheets were comfortable. Inside our room my husband enjoyed the coffee machine and I enjoyed the tea offers as well as the water. They have a great sized TV and we were able to relax watching Netflix whenever we took a break. Fabulous dog friendly stay that we highly recommend - they were wonderful! No complaints at all. They welcomed us with open arms.
