- Daniela (10/5): Definitely coming back!!! 🥰 - Lovely place!! Nothing
- Brad (10/5): An amazing cabin in the woods with everything you need for a good time. - An amazing little cabin tucked away amongst the trees and quiet of Halls Gap.
Only a 2min drive or a short walk from the main street but far enough that it was dead silent during the night.
The cabin is the best we've come across - very modern, clean, well designed and plenty of space for a couple.
The double showers (with the doors opening to the bush) was a highlight.
The firepit was perfect and not too far from the fridge to keep our wine topped up.
The clear cieling above the bed was also absolutely unreal for some star gazing.
Absolute 10/10 in every way.
We even emailed the host, unprompted for some local knoweldge and he replied within the hour, recommending some epic 4x4 locations. Honestly, nothing.
Everything was great.

- Chris (6/5): Would definitely be luxury accomodation if it had blinds, correct heating/cooling, but there should be more in the d - I can see what they were trying to achieve with this. Fittings in bathroom and kitchen were beautiful. When we arrived we realised the property is a lot smaller than shown in the photos. My husband and I are not large people but struggled to walk past one another in there. There was no TV which I understand being off the grid but I feel you should have still given the opportunity of having TV there.
I nearly flooded the bathroom due to the drain being full of pink hair (I do not have pink hair). I feel that is should be in description of property that the toilet is a long drop toilet as I don’t classify this as luxury. The fireplace is the size of a shoe box and due to size has no fan. With a property that is all windows and NO blinds this small amount of heat is gone straight out the windows which means in winter when it’s freezing in Halls Gap your freezing in there also. We had to sleep with layers of clothes as there was only one doona and three thin blankets provided.
Lastly the firewood. The wood left beside the fireplace did not fit in, we messaged the owner to be told the wood for fireplace is under the day bed. There was 4 pieces that fit for a two night stay. We ended up having to use battery powered chainsaw to cut up wood for our last night.
A small reverse cycle would have worked so much better as in winter this property is an ice block and in summer will be a hot box.

- Liza (1/5): Worst accommodation experience ever - avoid this property at all costs and save your money - It was one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had and the owner's dismissive attitude only made it worse. We booked two nights and left after one due to multiple serious issues.
There was absolutely no heating, a major issue during winter. The only source was a tiny wood-burning fireplace, which didn’t last the night. No curtains or blinds in the property, meaning no privacy and a cold night stay.
Bathroom flooded within minutes of using the shower, with water spilling out everywhere. Another major concern was the composting toilet. The property claims this was disclosed 24 hrs before check-in, but on Booking.com, it is simply listed as a “toilet.” This is misleading. Guests should be made aware of such details before booking and payment, not after. When we arrived, it was disgusting - used toilet paper, a horrible smell and flies buzzing around the toilet. The flies were attracted to the unsanitary conditions and also invaded the space where we had food and drinks.
The throw blanket on the bed was covered in glitter/bronzer, likely from a previous guest. That raised serious concerns about whether any of the bedding had actually been cleaned. The property prioritised gimmicks like a fogless mirror and soundbar over the bare minimum: warmth, sanitation and comfort.
Also, the property's website falsely advertised a 55-inch TV and Chromecast in the room - neither existed. In reality, there was no TV, no streaming options, no form of entertainment whatsoever. Just another example of how this place misleads guests and overpromises.
When we raised these issues and left early, the host refused to offer any form of refund or compensation, despite photo evidence and detailed feedback. They showed no interest in resolving anything and were more than happy to take our money. This property is misleading, poorly maintained and the host is uncooperative and unwilling to take responsibility. Do not book here.

- Emily (10/5): Luxury meets nature - Best experience I’ve had in a long time! I wanted to book something special for my partners birthday and this was the perfect place to stay. Romantic, secluded but still super close to all the shops & restaurants. They have really thought about the tiny details in this place, even though you are in nature you feel like you are in a luxury hotel. Would definitely recommend and be back for sure!
- Ale (10/5): Great place to just chilll and relax very clean very peaceful host was easy to deal with super friendly highly recommen - Not much
- Naomi (6/5): A good option to stay at in Halls Gap - Interesting place, I like what they are trying to do here
- Jermaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Narinder (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (2/5): Booked and paid for 3 nights but only stayed for 2. Very disappointed. - No fire extinguisher or working smoke detector, no evacuation placard. The wood burning fireplace is too small to heat the house, and not enough wood is provided.
There is no bbq as advertised or outside chairs or table provided,
The grey water is pumped directly on too the ground near where you park your car, and is not connected to anything. Very unsanitary.
There are dead large tree branches hanging over the skylight in the bedroom and no blinds or curtains at all in the bedroom.
