Guest Reviews
- Bartosz (8/5): - Blisko centrum Konieczność wchodzenia po schodach do apartamentu
- Larissa (10/5): -
- Kylie (7/5): - Location in old town and close to everything Noisey neighbours and kids bouncing ball early hours of morning

- Jack (9/5): - Great location and helpful host. Bed comfortable
- Nuno Alfredo R (9/5): - Quite a nice and comfortable place.

- Ioannis (9/5): Perfect stay in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town - I had a wonderful stay in this cosy, welcoming room just a few stairs up from the main street of Dubrovnik’s beautiful old town. The room was spotless and very quiet at night, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom was comfortable and functional, and the amenities, such as reliable Wi-Fi and air conditioning, made the stay especially pleasant. The staff were exceptionally professional, warm, and always quick to respond to any questions. Overall, everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this place.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Dubrovnik is magical. If a person has any mobility challenges, this apartment would be very difficult. Honestly, that is true for all of old town.
- Jon (8/5): Loved the apartment. Got good response from the host. - Location involves many steps which is what gives it authenticity...its on a steep slope. Loved the vibes and the toned leg muscles after 2 days. Location was accurate but although instructions described 2 green doors, there were actually 3 green doors side by side. Being jet lagged from a red-eye flight, a picture might have proved more helpful for weary travellers. Figured it out eventually after trying to open our neighbor's door lockbox. Wording to the effect of "you will see Apt #21 and 3 green doors. Yours is the first door on the left or the 2nd door in the middle, etc. might prove easier. Also, I'd offer directions such as " Using the Pile Gate means you walk up many, many steep steps. Using he Buza Gate allows you to walk down to your apartment #21. Pass through the Buza gate and take a right hand turn to Peline Street that runs alongside the inside the wall to the 6th? street on your left (Naljeskoviceva ulica ). Walk down.
- Kaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (4/5): Grossly unhappy - Not much. Terrible steps, no clear instructions as to which gate to arrive at.
Does not show up on Google Maps. Manager just tried to explain over the phone and not clearly
Neighbour sits in narrow stairway impeding people from walking up or down. Especially a major problem with bags.
No ability to offer porterage for bags, especially when guests are a little older
Hot water runs out in less than 3 minutes into each shower
- Zeci-ann (10/5): Dubrovnik the city of steps - Everything apart from shower as the entire bathroom floor did get quite wet , we just left a rolled up towel down to help in the end Nothing it was fabulous
- Shawna (9/5): Very clear communication with the host. Best way to arrive with your luggage and exhaustion from your travels! - Very well located from Buza Gate. Less steps with luggage. Nothing!
- Kai (9/5): Overall good for couples - The property had self check in and it was perfect for us as after our flight arrived at 1am! Apartment had everything we need and is good for two people. Supermarket 2 mins away and pretty much central of old town. Had good AC and shower was hot! Bathroom sometimes flood abit especially using the shower head but other than that. The location of the property has a lot of stairs to central of old town which older people might have problems
- Rafael (8/5): Very good -
- Ruta (10/5): Very quaint in idyllic setting. - Very central and gorgeous surroundings inside and outside. Quiet street.
- Khushboo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rakshita (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Mcholm (10/5): A very cosy, well decorated and clean room in a perfect location. Nice and quiet. - Loved the location; the bed was very comfy; the sweet touches like tea and coffee left for us, bathroom very nice. The only negative was that the shower overflows and could do with a strip at the edge to keep the water in, but this wasn't too big a deal.
- Salvara (8/5): Very good -
- Julius (9/5): Nice and quiet place in old town - - very nice location in Old Town with very green and quiet alley
- well equipped, nice and spacious bathroom - difficult to air the flat due to lack of windows
- lots of stairs to reach the flat
- Alexandra (10/5): Perfect little studio! - The entire place was spotless and extremely clean and renovated. Host did a great job of communicating and was flexible to let us check in early. I would say the location was ideal considering the challenges of Old Town (stairs, etc). We came in through Buza Gate and didn’t face too many uphill stairs compared to if we would have stayed in the center. The studio is also located along a very quiet path so no noise issues. No fault to the host but the studio can be a tight squeeze for two people if you are used to a larger space. Bathroom was a great size though! Stairs will be a challenge in most of Old Town, so be warned this spot will still require some uphill/downhill stairs. However, I do feel it is an easier location to access with luggage from Buza Gate. There is a long staircase you will have to ascend each time you go closer to the center.
- Tony (9/5): Lovely, clean apartment in the old town. - Great bathroom, comfortable bed, bottle of wine was a nice touch. Communication was terrific. Stairs were not fun - but that’s the price you pay for staying in Dubrovnik. Approach from the Buza Gate for an easier way to get to the apartment.
- Donna (8/5): Very good - Location. Clean and quirky. It would have been helpful to have clearer instructions of how to get there eg which entrance to go into via taxi. Clearer marking on property would also me helpful.
- Kezia (9/5): Nice clean apartment, well equipped. - Good shower, comfy bed, very clean. Lots of amenities like a hairdryer, maiden to dry towels, kettle etc. Many steps to the town (about 100). Dubrovnik old town is quite steep and hilly.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, little difficult using my phone to find but all good. Not hosts fault that this is the case. Very comfy bed and fantastic shower. Bottle of wine a lovely touch. Few steps to the centre of old town and felt it very good value. Yes it can be strenuous to get there, especially in heat if coming back but as long as you’re mobile you’ll have no issues after all Dubrovnik old town can be hilly👍
Hvala!!!
- Jodi (8/5): Great place for a solo traveler. I loved the renovations and the cleanliness. - Cleanliness and quietness Nothing comes to mind
- Danelle (8/5): Very good - Great location in Old Town Lots and lots of steps, especially if you have heavy luggage to carry.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Myrna (7/5): Other than that our stay was fantastic. - The location was good. the apartment was clean and met our requirements They should have mentioned or warned about the mount of stairs that's needed to be climbed to the apartment.
My friend (traveling companion) is 74 and has bad knees and I have a heart condition and we both found it really hard getting up and down from the apartment. Especially with our luggage. We travelled for a month so had to carry a lot of luggage. They should advise people of this and recommend the Porter Service we were only informed of this when we were leaving. If it wasn't for a kind passer by we would never have got our luggage up there.
- Aleksandra (8/5): Very good -
- Lloy (7/5): Dubrovnik, old town is wonderful but be aware of the accessibility of your chosen accommodation. - The studio was clean and comfortable and we liked that it was located within the city walls of old town Dubrovnik. We did not realise prior that the area was so steep and required navigating hundreds of steps to leave and return to the studio. We stayed in Split, old town prior to our booking in Dubrovnik and the host had met our taxi and assisted us with our luggage and later helped us take our luggage to the port for our departure on a cruise.
The studio in Dubrovnik was self check-in and we would not have booked it if we had realised this which was our mistake. We did not have the ability to navigate the steep and many steps with our luggage (bad back/knees) to get to the studio from where the taxi dropped us off and after an urgent call to the owner, she was not able to arrange assistance for us. As we struggled with our luggage, a kind, young tourist offered to assist us by carrying our large suitcase to the studio.
Prior to our departure, we were able to book a young man who worked at the nearby shuttle/taxi business to collect our luggage for us before he started work for the day.
- Heather (9/5): A lovely apartment in the Old Town. Do not bring big cases on trip, travel light ! - Modern and clean.
Good location although 90 odd steps down to Town.
Great shower.
Welcome bottle of wine and water. We couldn’t get the t.v to show any channels.
Would have liked fresh towels half way through our stay.
- Aislyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (10/5): Fantastic, would highly recommend this property. - Great Location with loads of restaurants a stones throw away.
Very comfortable bed.
Good air con.
The host is incredibly helpful going out of their way to organise taxis for us. If people are on pathway outside property you can hear everything they are saying although that didn’t bother us too much and I imagine this is the case no matter where you stay in old town.
- Claudio (9/5): Very good location in old town Dubrovnik if you don’t mind climbing many stairs. - Very clean and functional. Wasn’t aware to get to this property you needed to climb many stairs.
- Luke (9/5): Great stay - Good location close to everything in the old town The steps up to the property , but nothing could be done from the owners point of view this is just part of the old town
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Sofia (5/5): Nice for a couple of days - The studio is redone in a nicely way, modern and it was clean. It smell like mold. Pretty sure all the apartments are like that, after all this is called Old Town.
- Clare (10/5): Perfect - Comfiest bed of the whole trip. Nothing
- Ondrejl (9/5): It is recommended especially for young and old romantic pairs. - Location is perfect for any lover of medieval cities. Lot of museums, harbor with rent a boat. Excellent restaurants of all flavors. In particular sea food. Lady PiPi restaurant which is 52 stairs away from apartment is truly worth for a visit. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g295371-d1797401-Reviews-Lady_Pi_Pi-Dubrovnik_Dubrovnik_Neretva_County_Dalmatia.html
Be aware that there is no transport within old city. A lot of stairs to are be used. Our apartment was in romantic street consisting of 148 stairs connected by short straight platforms. Access is by card. If you remove card from holder all electricity inside of apartment is switched off. Therefore not possible to have dry towels returning from a walk.
- Radek (9/5): Excellent time in Dubrovnik's Old Town - Nicely renovated apartment, very clean, well equipped and as in the pictures. Maria was a super host, friendly, caring and very responsive. Excellent location to explore Dubrovnik's Old Town, close to good restaurants and bars.
We would stay there again It did not bother us, but walking up and down stairs with luggage may be challenging.
- Lyanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (8/5): Nice apartment, shame about the location for us. We might have done more if we were lower down. - Modern twist on an old building and the accommodation was well thought out and well lit. Nice that there was a good bottle of wine provided. Unfortunately, booking.com didn't make us aware of the terrain and we are not spring chickens. We needed to use the baggage & smile storage and delivery service based at the east gate. It was however an excellent and well run service. It did restrict our activities a bit.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karolina (10/5): Exceptional - Location is spot on, probably the prettiest street in town
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
