Guest Reviews
- Helen (6/5): - Location. Close to train station, restaurant and supermarket. There were no teabags or milk.
No WiFi.
No kindling to get the coonara going.
Empty soap container in bathroom.
- Hawkins (9/5): - Location was really handy spot for us. Very quiet neighbourhood, heating was sufficient. Thank you for letting us stay. We travelled with our elderly mother, a handrail at the front steps would be handy, we managed to get her up them.

- Shane and Sharon (10/5): -
- Taya (10/5): Perfect for a weekend away - This cottage is in the perfect location to the Main Street and the coffee shops and workers club.
- William (7/5): -
- Marinka (4/5): -
- Claire (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - Space, cleanliness, fireplace Toilet door and laundry door didn’t shut properly letting in cold air
- Kathryn (10/5): Great location, comfortable beds, lots of room for a family. - Comfortable beds with lovely linen and pillows. Electric blankets for the cooler weather. Great sized bedrooms.
Lovely undercover porch in backyard with bbq.
Beautiful house and we had a lovely stay.
- Robyn (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. Beds comfy, close to Workman’s Club for the Surprise Birthday - Great location, close to Club and Main Street. Very quiet street. Off street parking would have been good. However the street meant that we felt our cars were safe.
- Belinda (6/5): - Beds were comfy, clean & generous amount of bedding.
Central location, easy to walk to most places. Short walk to train station.
Kitchen is large. Rooms and living areas are very spacious.
Furnishings are tasteful. Neighbourhood is a bit rough, sometimes noisy.
It is quite an old cottage, which is expected for this area, but there are a few maintenance issues that need attending to:
- toilet base is broken and unstable if you need to lean to either side
- there are broken floor boards under some sections of the carpet in the main living area
- no window latch on front bedroom window - can open from outside and climb straight through.
- sticking out nails catch your socks in living area.
Communication with the host was abrasive, we confused the booking pin for the key code, and it was a frustrating back and forth before she steered us in the right direction to find it. The final check out message also lacks any niceties - ends with a cleaning fee threat :-/
A few other little things that would improve the experience:
- a coffee plunger/stove top percolator
- loose leaf tea (there are teapots, but only lemongrass teabags)
Overall it's a bit run down, with DIY fix-ups, the pictures in the booking app are the nicer bits (beds and fixtures). I don't mind 'rustic,' but for the price. Aside from the maintenance issues, a few extra niceties would have me brush over the less pleasant aspects.
- Tracie (10/5): Lovely comfortable old home, very clean and well considered - Lovely to have a whole house to relax after travelling.
Position position position- fantastic location, very quiet street yet close to CBD. Family member with mobility issues found front steps hard to manage but this is something we cope with.
- Marieke (8/5): - Plenty of space, close to town, comfortable beds. Nice to have an air fryer available too. Couldn't get the TV (or remote?) to work properly unfortunately.
- Jewels (8/5): -
- George (6/5): Clean however needs maintenance urgently - Location and cleanliness Looks as it’s been upgraded by someone with do it yourself skills rather than tradesman. Needs a lot more improvement by professional builders.
- Shane and Sharon (10/5): - Very nice cottage in great location
- Maureen (8/5): Satisfied our needs for short stay as we went to a family wedding so did not spend much time there - After travelling for a while we just looked forward to a cup of tea bUT there was no milk, we had to go to shop to buy so our cuppa had to wait, disappointed

- Johanna (8/5): Lovely , relaxing home in a quiet street close to shops. - Lovely , well equipped home for our overnight stay. The bedrooms were very comfortable , we enjoyed sitting in the living room relaxing in front of the fireplace. The bath/ shower was a little small for us , but we were able to get ready without a problem in the bathroom.

- Lorna (7/5): Good -
- Darlene (8/5): Quaint and comfy, would happily stay there again. - It was nice having a whole house to ourselves. Our daughter was unwell on one of the days and I can only imagine how horrible it would have been if we were stuck in a tiny motel room. TV remote didn't work. Stuck watching one channel on the TV. Some of the finishes were a bit poor. You could tell the work was DIY.

- Michael (5/5): The stay at the Airbnb was comfortable and convenient, though nothing extraordinary. - Location The interior is outdated and dusty.
- Sonia (8/5): Very good - Location was ideal for our group as we went to the Bathurst 12 hour for the weekend and being nearby as no accommodation available within our budget in Bathurst, this was perfect for us.
- Artiom (8/5): Very good - Nice house, well insulated for the hot weather. Lovely neighbors and very quiet surroundings. Good location as well, walking distance to the shops and supermarket. House needs some maintenance. There is a street light pointed right in your face if you sleep in the main bedroom.
- Jayjaye (8/5): Very good - This is a great place to stay. The cleanliness and tidiness were much appreciated. The room size was also perfect for my needs. I had a very comfortable stay. I would definitely book again.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Lovely period cottage in a great location. Spacious with a nice garden. We all enjoyed the local Parkrun on Saturday with very friendly welcoming locals.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - The place is awesome. Silence and calm. The dishwasher was broken, but it wasn't a big deal.
- Adonis (8/5): Very good -
- Gowri (6/5): Not worth the money being charged - Convenient location This probably the oldest house I have ever stayed. Except the main door no other door has a lock including bathrooms. Walls , flooring are about to break. Lounge set is so old that if we sit we are almost on the floor
