Guest Reviews
- Hui (8/5): Very good -
- Katemere (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bendynz (7/5): Good - Simple no frills. Quiet & easy to get to. Few things needed fixing e.g. Broken towel rail & toilet seat. No bedside light. No TV.
- Josh (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tran (8/5): All looks good with me - suitable location to go around the long beach area and the view outside looks great Other shared rooms make some noises and even don't look after the shared furniture clean
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - The veiw, the deck and the bed where great! The windows, walls, tiles all needed a spring clean and a more detailed vacuum of the edges of the carpet and skirting bored and under the bed.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zack (10/5): Best accommodation in town - Great place
Best in town
Highly recommended
- Kristina (3/5): Terribly dirty, wouldn't stay again even if it was free (great view though!) - Incredible view, nice location if you have a car I walked in on other guests having unpacked their suitcases in the shared downstairs area and cooking (frying?) in some clearly burnt oil, making the whole house stink. Not the property owner’s fault but clearly not managed.
Same goes for the shared bathroom facilities... the toilet was worse than any hostel I stayed at in my younger years (sorry for graphic photos of pubic hair, urine everywhere etc- don’t zoom in if you’re squeamish). No soap at the hand basin in the toilet.
The room was unfortunately also very dirty (despite the absolutely amazing view), clearly not cleaned properly since the last guests, except for the fresh sheets. Stained carpet with some discarded tags from new clothes, tray full of crumbs and other food bits, single folding chair (no two arm chairs as per pictures) also dirty. Ended up walking straight back out (my clothes and hair already smelling like I’d been working over a fryer), spending the evening at a restaurant and using their facilities, going back there just to sleep - leaving even my bags in the car (off that carpet and away from the smells) - and leaving in the morning before even having been to the bathroom. Would have stayed elsewhere and happily paid double if I’d found an alternative, but it was 7.30pm in the evening….
I did contact the owner directly as soon as I first arrived, and to be fair they were apologetic (about not “checking the detail”) and offered to do better next time - which is a nice idea except I wouldn’t stay again even if it was for free. More than disappointing, pretty bad I'm sorry to say.
PS: photo in this listing is of a different room!
- Senali (9/5): It was a very relaxing place to stay and affordable - The location was very calm, clean and quiet
I just one night over there, and it was relaxing and worth the price. If I ever come to Hobart to stay, I will definitely pick this place if it’s available Everything was available as per my expectation
