• Fiona Doyle (8/5): Lovely Apartment - Great location, lovely apartment, great bathroom. Small enough rooms and not a lot of utensils. Not the fault of the owners but currently the building is being worked on and so no use of balcony.

• Van De wetering (6/5): - Locatie Dat het appartment, vanwege werkzaamheden in de stijgers stond. Dit was niet vermeld. Erg jammer. Want hierdoor kon je het balkon niet gebruiken en kwam er minder licht naar binnen. Geen werkzaamheden toen wij er verbleven. Het was een feestdag en een zaterdag. Eigenlijk zou het appartement ten tijde van verbouwingen niet verhuurd moeten worden.

• Cheryl (8/5): Great location, spacious apartment - This was a great choice for three independent people - we each had our own rooms and there was plenty of bathroom space since there were two. The rooms were spacious. It was great having fans since there is no AC but we were comfortable. One additional fan would be good especially for the interior bedrooms that don't have much moving air.

• Jonathan (7/5): Good - Good distance from the bridges leading to the Old Town where I spent most of my holiday. The right amount of space to accommodate each person’s needs. The house instructions could’ve been explained better. Some things I only found out about through messaging the owner e.g where to put our waste. Maybe the instructions on my bedroom door were out of date as they seemed to have been written during lockdown.

It was a good location for the beach and restaura - Well maintained, good location once we could find it and clean. Instructions regarding our arrival were clear. We did find it difficult to locate so it would be helpful to have a photo of the outside of the property. Not speaking Spanish was an issue for us! We did call the owners who helped us. The property said it would be available from 2pm so we arrived letting the owners know we had arrived as the instructions said, but it was not ready so we were sent away for 30mins. When we got back it was all done. The owner was very apologetic about this. However the f you can check in from 2pm, the accommodation should be ready.

Lovely to have soap and shampoo etc in bathrooms. Big fridge in kitchen. Good hot showers. Ticked all the boxes. Was spotlessly clean. View out of sitting room is straight onto another block and the two single rooms have windows onto internal courtyard which is very noisy.

I was concerned that we would regret being located on the Gros side of the river but we thought the location was perfect. It was a short walk to the old town and Playa de la Concha across the river, but Gros itself is a great place with cafes and shops and a great beach. We would absolutely recommend and hope to return. -

• Graham (7/5): Acceptable, clean accommodation with a more basic feel than probably was intended - The apartment was in a good location, although a little noisy. It was let down by small things - no coffee pods for the machine to get us going. No towels for drying dishes, or at least we did not find them. A kettle hidden away at the top of a tall kitchen cupboard. A soap dispenser in the shower which was difficult to use (or was nearly empty). The bedlinen felt rather basic. The window shutters were superb. The apartment was acceptable, without being inviting to spend time in. A few small touches, such as are suggested above could make all the difference.

• Pat (6/5): We loved San Sebastián and would go again but we would stay somewhere more comfortable and better value for money. - The location was perfect. Lots of amenities close by, bars, bakery, supermarket. The beaches were fabulous. Everywhere was walkable. The apartment was clean and lounge area was comfortable. We have used Booking.com for years and this is the first time I’ve given negative feedback, the descriptions are usually accurate. A few things weren’t working e.g the door knob to the master bedroom. The door had to be kept wedged open as it couldn’t be opened from the inside. A chest of drawers couldn’t be used as it collapsed due to a missing foot. The host was unconcerned, said she knew about these issues and would repair them in the winter. The bedrooms were dingy and needed lights on in the day. The temperature was very hot and we had no air-con or even a fan to cool the bedrooms which were stifling. We were disturbed throughout the nights by people walking on the street below talking and laughing loudly (even 4-5am). Also, visitors might expect a ‘balcony’ to be a place they might sit on or have a nice view from. The balcony was about 18 inches deep close to neighbouring blocks. And the ‘hot tub’ was a bath with jets. We had not been aware the apartment was on the 5th floor but this was not a problem and the lift worked well.

• Cynthia (10/5): Perfect San Sebastian location with great amenties and comfortable space - The apartment was nicely decorated, had everything we needed and was in a great location - convenient to everything. The hosts were responsive and friendly and easy to contact. We loved our stay there and would book there again if we return. The only things we noticed is that the bedroom away from the street does not have a fan so if someone staying there would like to sleep with the door closed, it could get warm if the weather is warm. With the door open and the fan from the front room, it was perfectly comfortable though and not an issue for us at all.

It's smart, spacious, well furnished and well equipped. It's in a good location for the town, as well as the bus and train stations. Although we didn't meet the owner, he was very helpful in our communications with him. Would certainly stay there again if we came back to San Sebastian. Nothing
• Gary (9/5): Great stay in a great city ideal for weekend or short stay breaks. Definately would use again - Location very good for all areas of San Sebastian. Living room big and spacious, and all products you required supplied. Train was delayed, we had trouble finding apt. and we didn't receive email asking us to confirm arrival time, so when we arrived ( an hour later than expected) there was no one to meet us. When we finally got in contact with key holder he'd gone to work, he gave us another keyholders contact details, who came out of work to let us in and show us around. Only problem with apt. one of the bedrooms had no windows so daughter woke up every morning thinking it was earlier than it was.
