Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - It is a very nice hotel with lovely rooms and a stunning view in a remote place, that you can just reach via boat or a 20 minute hike (we managed the hike at 10pm in the dark with two small kids, so it is not too hard). Henry and his wife were super friendly and we felt at home. The beach is nice - especially when you can enjoy it without the crowds that enter the beach in the middle of the day. In the morning and evening we had the beach all for ourselves whoch was great! We highly recommend Puro Paraiso Eco Lodge! The breakfast could have been a bit more, but it tasted delicious. Showering was not easy since there was just a bit of water coming out. But who cares when you are in a beautiful spot like this?!? A thing to improve would be the short path that leads 150 meters from rhe beach to the hotel. There is a lot of garbage of the day visitors along the path. The hotel itself is very neat and clean.
Dominique (2/5): Never again - The view. Unable to sleep. The so called junior suites are extremely basic. The construction is such that the room keeps the heat inside, same for the terrace. Internet doesn't work in the room. Basic breakfast with horrible coffee.
Rommel (10/5): Perfect getaway - Puro paraiso is the perfect gateaway. This is the perfect place to disconnect or to share time to reconnect with your other half. The beach is perfect for snorkeling. You can do some light hiking in the adjacent hills that lead to others beautiful beaches. Henry, the host, and his wife provide an excellent customer service above and beyond. Also he gave us tips about how to get around, tips to go to the tayrona park. The hotel has an amazing views, comfy beds and food was really good and tasty. It may get hot in the room at night but with the fans and open windows you will manage. When the beach goers leave by 5 pm you will have the beach for yourself!!! Amazing experience. Everything was excellent,espey for an Eco Hotel

They helped me with the commute, check places for my next stays, connect with people to do scuba diving... Other than the friendly stuff, food was delicious and the location was really convinient if you are looking for some pieceful space
Marley (9/5): Great views, away from the craziness - Great location. Henry was awesome and very helpful with all my questions and needs. The location is way better than staying in Taganaga. Some party noise during daytime but otherwise very nice. Trails nearby and absolutely incredible views. The rooms were hot at night. Playa Grande is a whole party scene during the day and a lot of trash that you will have to walk through to get to the hotel. That is outside of the control of the hotel but it is a thing to be aware of.

Lena (10/5): We absolutely loved our stay - amazing views, close to the beach and a home-like feeling 🥰 - Henry and his wife (& staff) are incredible hosts who made us felt like home from the first second and were helpful at all times. We also loved the quietness and views of the place plus all the lovely dogs and cats. Extra bonus was that we got a lot of vegan options for food which is pretty special in the area. It is good to know that you should arrive before 18:00, so you are able to take the boat from Taganga. This is nothing that they could have changed but the nights were incredibly hot in the rooms - but the fans help.
Dominic (10/5): I truly felt at home at this gorgeous sanctuary, it felt more like a stay at a friend’s house than a hotel. - A beautifully designed tropical oasis. Lovely views from the open upper terrace lobby and restaurant, rooms below carved into the rock with private patios. A truly peaceful sanctuary run by a lovely and accommodating couple. The property is just wonderful, nothing to dislike! The heat / humidity at certain times of year maybe tough for some travellers but the rooms have ample fans.

Filia (10/5): cozy, special hotel with lovely hosts! - This hotel was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it! First of all you can’t get there by car, you have to go by boat from Taganga or walk a small hill up and down. With a lot of baggage a bit difficult but possible. Henry and his family were very nice, caring and friendly hosts. He helped us planning our day activities and we had a good, welcomed feeling all the time. Also the meals were delicious and they offered us some special vegan options. Extra plus: you stay with super cute dogs and cats!
Markus (10/5): Amazing location to be in a quiet beautiful place surrounding the Bay. - - Amazing location to be in a quiet beautiful location surrounding the Bay - Super quiet - Very hospitable & friendly family who speak great English - good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner - cats and dogs - decent internet most of the time even for video calls - From late afternoon there is no food around the area but they have good and affordable food. - Some uncertainty with the internet. Sometimes, it didn't work - It's not safe to walk to town at night from this area so you are stuck there
Zuzana (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Its a beautiful place with fantastic view, few steps from beach. This family makes their job with joy and are very helpful. I had broken arm and they helped me with luggage. Also they treat animals very well, the cats and dogs are super tranquil personalities, they do not bother you but are your friend if you want to. I enjoyed staying there very much, it was energizing. Thank you. Nothing
Seamus (10/5): Puro Paraiso - how true. - This is a family run establishment and my hosts couldn't have been more welcoming to their home. Their philosophy is not to have guests but an extended family and they made me feel like one of them. My Spanish isn't great but good enough for basic hotel stays. No worries on that score here, though. All the family were happy to try their English and help me with my limited Spanish. I came here for three nights and am staying for eight. It would be longer if I didn't have a pre-booked, unalterable flight to catch. The thought of having to leave to return to England.
