• Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay, great area - We went to the area to visit XMas markets and we couldn't find any hotel near Strasbourg. We booked this place without reviewing too much about it, however, it was a gem. We had a large and new apartment with a living room and full equipped kitchen, and surprisingly, working high-speed wifi. The complex was on the top of a small river and room view was on the mountains. The host welcomed us with a local beverage and was one of the most welcoming hosts we have ever seen. I regret we could only stay for a short time.
• Denis (10/5): Very clean - We enjoyed are stay really nice hosts.The bedding in the rooms were very comfortable and the window blinds were awesome they brought total darkness in the room we sleep like baby's .Very good breakfast and dinner was very good too. We would stay there again.
• Yamandu (10/5): Great Hotel close to all Black Forest small towns. - Wonderfull Hotel!!! Family hotel with a family staff. Great food. Lauderdale is a small town in the middle of Black forest and you can reach all towns from there.I recommend all about this hotel.

We felt immersed in the culture. The hosts spoke a little English and were eager to please.

We also ate dinner there which was excellent.A good sign was that there were locals also dining there. The beds were comfortable and we had no problem with parking. It was pleasant for sleeping.

Same for Wi-Fi. Mr. Klaus and his wife/family took good care of us during our staying, service is great. hotel is clean and silent. Very good option for a couple travelling through the Black forest.

Service couldn't have been better very friendly hosts and staff.Will endevour to go there again as we only had one night there. The surrounding area has much to offer and allows for an relaxing stay of several days. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious and the whole deal came at a very acceptable rate.
• AndyK (4/5): Not what we expected. - We were looking forward to having two nights at this Gasthaus, however we found it to be unwelcoming on arrival and generally very dated. The bedroom,although it had a balcony was poorly furnished and the bathroom was in need of a complete refurb. The breakfast was poor on both days with very little choice. Overall a disappointment .

• Sam (10/5): We would love to move here - After staying here 1 night, we cancelled the other bookings in Germany to stay here. It's quiet (except for the bubbling brook outside the window), it's really easy to get to, and the owner and his wife were so accommodating. The water sound outside our room was soothing and we both slept like babies after touring French castles and the Black Forest.

• Verified traveler (10/5): You will be well taken care of at the Linde - The onwer spoke very little English and we spoke less German, but this did not get in the way of the service. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and had a great balcony overlooking a river. The restaurant provided an excellent traditional German breakfast and the dinner menu provided numerous choices. Our dinner meals were very good. We enjoyed the local wines served with dinner. A bakery and a food market are both within walking distance. Had to use GPS to find. Will use the Linde on our next Germany adventure.

I knew the restaurentsould be closed unexpected to see more life than there was. No food available in the village so if arriving on a Thursday eat beforehand! Hotel was very clean and rooms and breakfast were fine.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommend this family Gausthaus! - Great family business ran by a 5th gereation grand daughter helping her Grandpa Klaus. Very clean and friendly staff. The restaurant is nice for convenient meals. Highly recommend this hotel. Only 9 miles from the spas too!
