• Giorgio (1/5): Got canceled - Me and my family arrived in ho chi min late afternoon. we discovered the same day that the owner cancel the reservation. No explanations no apologies. There was no way to talk with him/her, only late response by message in the booking app.

• Adam (3/5): Unpleasant host - Nice room. Rudest host. We arrived late in the evening from the airport. We were disturbed by the host who impolitely demanded cash payment, but we did not have any local currency. We were frogmarched down Walking Street at night to an ATM when we really needed to rest after a long flight. The host complained that he lived over 20 km away, so it would be too inconvenient for him to come back on another day to collect the payment — despite this, he was constantly downstairs which frankly made us very uncomfortable. He was then extremely rude throughout the rest of our stay, especially when we wanted to make use of the communal space such as doing laundry or even refilling our water bottle. The location is also down the back of a dodgy alley.

• Thuc (9/5): Great stay in the heart of Saigon - The location was perfect, not far from the entertainment centre. The small alley where it located has a traditional market with many food vendors giving plenty of choices for eating during the day. Staffs are helpful and very responsible. Local residents are nice, friendly. Almost every thing you need for your stay is within 5-10 mins walk. The homestay doesn't have a lift, that's a thing to consider if you travel with heavy luggage. However Phong, the owner, was very helpful and would be the to give you the best assistance.

• Kerry (5/5): Great part of the city but difficult to find. - Very close to main entertainment area in the city. Difficult to find as it is in the non walking area and directions are only given from one entrance to that area. Sadly my driver dropped me off at the other entrance. More communication on the need for a cash payment would also be helpful as I arrived late after a day of travel delays and had only just arrived in the country so had no local currency. The owner insisted I went back out to a cash point to get the cash before going to bed and then I had to wait 2 hours for him to return to the property so I could give it to him.

• Peter R (9/5): Very convenient, lots of Ban Mi places and good streetfood with literally 2 to 5 minutes walk. - Nice, clean, cozy place, literally 30 secs walk from the HCMC Walking Street! If that's what you want, it's perfect! Host is a very nice guy, speaks English and explains everything very well. Lots of excellent restaurants all around. Despite being so close to walking street, you don't hear any noise at all, very quiet for those afternoon naps before you go out at night clubbing! It's in the middle of a dense block of housing, so down an alley, turn right, then right again, right again.... can be confusing for some! But that's just the nature of housing in Vietnam.

• Denise (10/5): Highly recommended!!! - The stay was amazing and exactly what we needed in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Before check in we were able to stay in the living room (with a couch/bed), use a bathroom with toilet and shower and use the fully equipped kitchen (coffee, tea, noodles). The room was beautiful. Everything was clean and essentials were provided. There is a washing machine and a dryer. After check out we were allowed to use the ground floor again. It’s in a small street in the Center so you get both - being in the middle of everything (restaurants, shops, bars, etc.) but sheltered enough to not hear any noise from outside. The host is great!! Super helpful, friendly and attentive. Big thanks to him for making our stay so easy and convenient. Before check in he did sent detailed instructions on how to find the place. Highly recommended!!!

• Uladzimir (10/5): Absolutely Wonderful Homestay Experience – Highly Recommended! - We had an amazing stay at this homestay, and everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and truly taken care of. We arrived much earlier than expected – in the middle of the night – and although it wasn’t check-in time, the host allowed us to rest in the cozy living room on the ground floor. We let ourselves in, got some much-needed sleep, and even helped ourselves to free tea, coffee, and instant noodles available in the kitchen. What touched us the most was the host’s genuine kindness. He came personally at 8 AM just to check us in early – without charging anything extra. That kind of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about how much he values his guests. The next day, we were able to leave our bags at the homestay without any issue. In the evening, when we returned to collect them, we were not only welcomed back but also invited to shower and have something to eat before leaving. It felt more like visiting a friend’s home than staying in a guesthouse. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed, comfortable, and friendly throughout. We truly appreciated every part of our stay and will definitely come back here next time we’re in the area. Highly, highly recommended to anyone looking for a warm and authentic experience!

You can fill up your water and do your washing for free. It’s very convenient. The place does not look like the pictures (at least our room) but it was still perfect with everything we needed.

Mais gros plus sur l'emplacement, juste à côté de la rue animé Bui Vien walking street. Pas d'inquiétude vraiment on entend aucun bruit car l'immeuble est caché dans une ruelle au milieu des habitations ! Très atypique !

It can be tricky at first to find it but host and neighbours are very helpful. Even though it is that close to the main street it is very quiet at night and you won't hear a single noise. Highly recommend it!!

• Eichhorn (7/5): Gute Lage, netter Gastgeber - Man muss leider sagen, dass die Bilder ganz anders aussehen wie die Zimmer in wirklich sind. Der Gastgeber ist aber super nett und wahnsinnig bemüht! Er hat uns bei all unseren Anliegen geholfen. Wenn man die Unterkunft erstmal gefunden hat ist die Lage wirklich perfekt! Es liegt direkt neben der Partystraße und dennoch ist es Nachts sehr ruhig. Wir fanden es außerdem super, die Waschmaschinen nutzen zu können. Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und es war nicht besonders sauber. Für den Preis kann man wohl aber auch nicht viel mehr erwarten.

• NADEZHDA (8/5): Saved me from sleeping on the street - I had to find place at night because other hotel cancelled my reservation. Host was very nice and welcoming and I didn’t have any problem. There are a lot of facilities around, like coffee shops, convenience stores and restaurants. Area around is sketchy to say the least, but that’s the city centre and it’s very close to bar street.

As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe. The host was incredibly helpful, he accommodated my early check-in and allowed me to leave my backpack after check-out. I truly appreciate the hospitality and highly recommend this place! -

I read in the reviews that it is difficult to find the hostel, so I asked the staff to send me a photo of how to find it (I found it without problems).Clean and safe room. There is access to drinking water and a washing machine. I have stomach problems so I cook on my own and needed a refrigerator for that. It was old and didn't do its job, so I had to buy food that doesn't spoil outside the refrigerator

Good value for money but don’t expect luxury! The owner is extremely helpful and nice. Our bed was not like the one in the picture and was very creaky. Bathroom was basic but that’s to be expected at this price point.

J'aurai préféré avoir une bouilloire avec tasse dans la chambre plutôt que devoir descendre à la cuisine dans une partie commune.

It’s located at bui vien street but rather quiet and covenient to travel around. Highly recommend this place. A bit hard to find at first but when you know the road, it’s not much of a big deal. The staircase is a bit steep.
