• Vitalie (8/5): The place had good amenities and communication, but several comfort issues made it less pleasant. - - Clean area - Good amenities - Good communication The area was overall clean, and there were many amenities available. Communication was also good, as we were able to call and speak with the owner late at night, around 12:40 a.m., which we appreciated. The main issue was that the arrival and check-in instructions were not clear enough. Regarding parking, we were told that parking was available on the street. However, it did not say that we had to park on the street; it simply said that street parking was available. When we arrived, the driveway was empty, so we parked there. Only after calling and speaking with the owner did we understand that guests were expected to park on the street. We also tried to enter through the front/main door, as a guest normally would, but we could not find the keypad. After speaking with the owner, we were told that the entrance was in another location. This information would have been very helpful to receive before arrival. Without being able to contact the owner, we likely would not have found the entrance easily. The stay itself was not ruined, but it was definitely affected by a few issues. There was an unpleasant smell in the basement that stayed during our entire 2-night stay, even after opening the windows. It may have been from food, the basement, or the carpet. Some kind of air freshener or better ventilation would help. The bed looked clean, but we found three long black hairs on the sheets, which made us unsure whether the bedding had been properly cleaned before our arrival. In the middle of the night, around 2:00 a.m., one of us felt cold in the room. We realized that we could not turn up the heat ourselves because guests do not have direct control of the temperature. The instructions said that we had to contact the owner if we wanted the temperature to be turned up or lowered. Since it was very late, we did not contact the owner and left it as it was. However, it was not very comfortable knowing that we did not have full control of the temperature and would need to ask someone to adjust it, especially when paying for a stay. The dining table had only 2 chairs. The sofa bed was uncomfortable because one side had a metal structure, making it difficult to sleep on.

• Jeanette (10/5): Calm and restful place. - Very clean, host was very helpful, great bed! Very quiet after a difficult travel day. They were booked the next night, I wanted to stay longer.
• Solomon (10/5): - The suite was clean, spacious for a basement suite, and very quiet. It was also equipped just right with necessary amenities and toiletries. Good value for money! Recommend to other guests. My family and I have nothing to complain about the place.

• Greg (10/5): Perfect for our needs - - felt like a safe neighborhood - owners were responsive and accommodating - lots of space to move around/work/etc - well equipped - king bed - really clean - there should be plenty of street parking but we weren’t able to find any nearby - we personally don’t like foam toppers on mattresses but understand some people do - some extra shower towels would be great

• Nelson (9/5): Excellent place to relax before starting Calgary and Park Adventures - I enjoyed the facility. But especially, when I had access to the basement. Using the kitchen, the treadmill, and Roku, I was happy to rest there after a long day hiking or watching the Stampede. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
• Michiyo (10/5): Exceptional - The owner response was so quick and clear. The place was very clean and comfortable and seems new. Also the owner is living upstairs and welcome us when we arrived. He is very friendly and kind person. We cooked easy breakfast in the kitchen and there were everything you need include, cooking oil,salt and pepper ,tea, coffee and sugar. You can’t use many electricity staff( kettle and espresso machine together etc) together ,also there is not too much space on the counter so you can’t cook too much. We cooked easy breakfast include eggs ,hotdogs toast and coffee ,so it was ok. It was easy to go shopping, eating and schools, also nice and comfortably quite neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable too! We really enjoyed to stay ! Thank you.

• Wendy (10/5): Awesome x 10 - Jade Place is a basement apartment. It was very tastefully decorated and everything was top notch. From the pre visit messages, and checking in to see if I needed anything. 10/10 on service and response times, cleanliness, the comfort of the bed and the couch, laundry facilities for free, workout equipment, everything was provided and all 10 out 10. They have thought about everything! The only thing you need to do is arrive with your clothing and your groceries. As a solo female traveler what I liked a lot about this place was I felt totally secure here. TV free Roku channel, a lot of free channels, can sign into your own account for Netflix or Prime etc, if curling up in front of the tv is your thing. Shopping is a 15 minute walk or a 4 minute drive. Everything is new here. New builds, new neighbourhood, and everything in this apartment is new. Price was terrific. This place is quiet. It's not in the middle of all the action, but it is in the middle of all the sights or places you may want to visit when in the Calgary area. Would definitely stay again Thank you for having me. No seat to sit on outside.
