- Carmen (10/5): On of the best stays! - The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Osaka Station, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The rooms were spotless and very well maintained, creating a really comfortable stay. What stood out the most was the friendly and welcoming staff, who made the experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, the view from the hotel was beautiful — definitely a highlight! 😊 -

- Chris (6/5): A bit disappointing - Location was good The premium twin room we had booked was not like the photos shown in the marketing photos is showed a space and a cabinet between the beds so you could walk down between them - our room had no space the beds were tight together. The room key cards did not work very well in the elevators - often took multiple attempts to get the elevator to register the cards - we saw other guests have similar problems. The beds were made in a way that in order to get under the covers you had to pull the bedding apart - so basically not worth having the beds made up each day.

The location worked well enough for us but Umeda might not be for everyone depending on your plans in and around Osaka. Good breakfast even though it's a hybrid between a la carte and a buffet. I don't know if this is common practice but we were not given the full Hilton status benefits because we booked through Booking.com. That being said, we did get a late checkout so that was good.

Location is good for quick access umeda station. - We spent 2 nights at the canopy by Hilton and we were wonderfully surprised. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The beds are so comfy. The whole experience was excellent. It was a bit hard to find even with google maps. It’s on the 11th floor and I forgot that other reviews mentioned this until we finally found the building. Hint: Look up and the name is high on the building!

We were a little uncertain about the luggage transfer service cost, as it seemed slightly higher than at our previous stays, but chose to use it for convenience. We also missed the detail regarding WiFi charges when booking the stay, as we had assumed WiFi would be complimentary at a five-star hotel.

Not as friendly and helpful as people in Kyoto. 2. Guests can't watch anything on the TV unless you use your own account to stream or create one. 3. I personally didnt like having a large figurine next to the TV, facing me whilst I slept lol... it was a bit agressive. It's mounted so you cant even put it away in a closet or anything. I just covered it. 4. Also very limited dinner options for muslims and vegetarians.

- Kacy (4/5): Stellar views and excellent finishes and fittings sullied by a slow check-in process - Very modern rooms and design aesthetic. On the fringe of Umeda. Getting to the Midosuji or Hankyu lines from this hotel is a chore. It’s connected to all of the surrounding malls via covered walkways, but walkway access is on the second floor, which the hotel elevator doesn’t service, which means you have to come down to 1 then go up to 2 to connect. The elevators up to the lobby are a little difficult to find. The lobby itself is on the 11th floor of the property which means you need to be patient if you’re heading back to your room. You must take at least 2 elevators to go to your room.

The maze of buildings and lack of signage made it difficult to find our way to/from the subway. Also not sure why but the lobby temperature was extremely warm. - Omar (8/5): Fresh and modern - Very new and fresh modern decor. Quiet and reasonably spacious room. Easy access to the various rail connections, about a 10 minute fast walk to the key red subway line. Breakfast wasnt great, and generally very limited dining options at the hotel. Bed was already very lumpy even though hotel only opened last year. Slightly awkward to access to the west of the hotel due to ongoing street level construction blocking the way.
