- Solomon (10/5): We ended up booking extra nights cause it was so nice - Really nice place. Clean, quiet and comfortable. My gf liked the amenities. Would definitely stay here again. There’s also a very good cheap pad Thai place right outside. The location isn’t that convenient but it’s not bad either. It’s very close to the river if you like catching boats but the nearest train station is a half hour walk.

- Ahmad (1/5): Bad -
- Theresa (10/5): Comfortable and clean - The place is well cared for and very clean. Lots of small touches made the space feel like home. The host does not speak English, but I understand that I am a guest in her country and this is part of the experience. We communicated well with a translator and I found my host gracious and kind when I made the effort to use my translator.
I slept really well. The room was very dark with the black out curtains. The bed had a squeak to it if you bounce on it, but I did not notice the squeak at all during my sleep.
The bathroom and shower was clean with all the supplies I needed.
I appreciated the designated smoking/sitting area in front of the property. I was sad to go. After I left, I realized that I left my charger. The host held it for me so I could come back the next day to grab it. N/a
- Ahmad (1/5): Bad -
- Terra (8/5): Very good -
- Danny (9/5): Superb -
- Danielle (8/5): Nice city stay - Good location out of the main city, nice and clean and comfortable in private room
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely stay. Very homely feel and excellent host. Plus epic breakfast every day too. A great choice
- Danielle (9/5): Overall we had a great stay, it was in a good location only 25 minute in a grab to most places - The property was very homely, we liked the extra enmities like shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser in the shared area, they also had hair dryers you can use freely, it was a nice touch especially whilst backpacking We liked everything about the property, we would just like to say that the lady living in the property (housekeeper) was lovely to start off with but after a few days seemed to become a bit less friendly and more short with us when we asked for something, we understood she didn’t speak much English and would show her pictures but she came across a bit abrupt at time
- Jiří (8/5): Fine but ear plugs are absolutely necessary. - The hostel is nicely designed, sufficently clean and close to pier for fast boats. There are several 7 elevens and restaurants around. There were plenty of amenities available for the guests (shower gel, shampoo, etc.) Noise, noise, noise. Ear plugs are essential so do not forget to bring some (I would recommend to provide them to guests). There is a constatn noise from the main road (not big issue as it is common in Bangkok). If you have room at the level with bathroom and tolilets, be sure to be disturb regularly by other guests using the facilities all night (some of them even entered to our room). The bed is terribly squeaky so every moove will wake up your roomate. There is certain issue with the door lock of the room as the key has to be placed in a very specific position. It always took me a while to lock/unlock the door. If we had paid standard price I would have been more indulgent and disregarded the shortcoming. However, since we stayed in the week bofore New Year's Eve, we paid double price and the comfort did not correspond. For the standard price I would not hasitate to stay again.
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and quiet tucked away in a busy area.
Clean & tidy
Helpful staff
- Summer (9/5): comfortable stay, family of 4 - Very clean and comfortable stay. Rooms had great AC and wifi, showers were easy to get to and use, easy walk to Asiatique, a must see spot.
- Tanis (8/5): Very good - Clean, quiet, located in a great walkable area.
- Annabelle (8/5): Very good -
- Chuthaporn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodrigo (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place. Staff where so kind, welcoming and hospitable. I felt good in the area, lots of great local restaurants and street food right on the road. Extremely clean, showers, kitchen and room. They even have shampoo conditioner deodorant and other toiletries to use. Every time we see our host and her family, she welcomed us with a smile. Brought us a bottle of water up to the room each day. Fresh towels whenever we needed. I made a coffee and drank it on the rooftop each day and could see great views of Bangkok. We stayed a week, and would stay again for sure next time we are in Bangkok.
- สุจันทร์ (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ladin (10/5): Would recommend in a heartbeat! - Our room was super duper clean, so much space to roam around the hostel, great amenities, and super quiet too, the hostel was upgraded and had good taste. Just a super nice stay with super friendly staff! Nothing!
- Alisara (8/5): Good stay - Cleanliness, location and quiet The room is on the 4th floor; too high for me.
- Candace (9/5): Lovely - I didnt ike the stairz for my luggage
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean . I arrived late and was a very easy check in Not best location
- Benaya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (10/5): One of the nicest properties I have had the pleasure of staying in BKK - Apart from the cute interior and great staff, the food options just around the corner from here, on the Charoen Krung rd, are exceptional. n/a
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional - Gem in Bangkok! Down a quiet alley, but in a bustling neighborhood. Lots of good street food nearby. Staff didn't speak English, but all was solved via translate and they were very kind. Cozy spot. A/C in the room worked beautifully and it was nice to have a porch. All facilities seem to be recently renovated and are super modern. Laundry costs a fortune to do there (there are some cheaper options nearby though!)
- Alan (9/5): Superb - The great food nearby, not just Soi Charoen Krung 85. Hostel staff were amazing. A lovely place to stay
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelsi (6/5): Good value for money but I didn’t feel comfortable due to the location. - The hostel was impeccably clean and very affordable. Even though the proprietor did not speak English, it was easy to figure things out because there are little signs everywhere. The building felt pretty secure because you can’t even enter the hostel without a key. The neighborhood it is located in felt really run down and seedy. I didn’t feel comfortable as a solo woman traveller. It is not close to many restaurants that would appeal to travellers. Seems to be just outside a really upscale neighborhood but very run down.
- Chelsea (8/5): Comfortable basic stay for a couple nights. Friendly staff, fine location. Common areas very hot but AC in room. No hot - Nice staff, ac in room, quiet, was able to extend Very hot common areas, didn’t know how to access the free coffee, steep stairs
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - The property was very quaint. We stayed in a private room, it was a little small but had a balcony and everything we needed! They have a microwave and fridge you can use. Self laundry service as well. The location was a bit far from main attractions.
- Prasad (10/5): An amazing experience! Love this place. - Well-organized and clean. Friendly staff. need some outdoor chairs for the rooftop area.
- Jenessa (9/5): Superb - Very clean and nicely decorated hostel. The shared bathrooms and showers were impeccable. The kitchen was great for preparing simple meals, and there was coffee, tea and small snacks available all day. Close to some attractions like Asiatique. The only complaint I would have is the location. It's not bad at all, but it is a bit far away from the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, ect. The city is very easy to navigate by bus or metro however so this wasn't an issue.
- Nicolò (8/5): Very good - Very clean, great location not in the middle of the confusion. You have a small dining room that was nice. Good bathrooms. Fan and ac. Not the cheapest but good for Bangkok The beds were really hard (and I prefer hard mattresses - but these were bad)
- Tinnelly (8/5): Very good -
- Johannes (8/5): Very good - Nice little hostle in a less touristic area. Best way to get to the touristspots is by watertaxi (Orange or blue line) for 16-30 baht.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Hvizdos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (7/5): Good - Very clean and tidy and very nice staff. The place is nice and great position in central Bangkok! Noisy person in my room watching videos on the phone at 2 am. He made me very angry, but I know it is nobody's fault. As for the hostel itself, I would only add more options for breakfast in the kitchen: maybe some bread with a toaster and jam? That would be great!
- Hvizdos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geeta (9/5): Lovely little hostel - The in house staff was lovely and ever so helpful. The location was amazing and I liked my room. Nothing I didn't like really. The house is old but that's not necessarily a bad thing! I wouldn't stay here if you only want mod cons
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Erna (9/5): This is a great place. Highly recommended and good value. - Extremely quiet, and very clean. I would have liked there to be outdoor space on top. There was a rooftop area, but it wasn’t really usable for hanging out.
- Burgess (9/5): You must stay here. It’s ideal. We are going to stay here again. - Everything was perfect. The room so tidy, the shower so clean. The air conditioning amazing. The balcony so pretty. The Wi-Fi slipped up here and there but very minor issue.
- Mark (10/5): Amazing! - I love this hostel! Its very clean at all times! The location is amazing, the food around is delicious (In my eyes the best food I had in thailand)!
It feels like a home! The curtains give a good feeling of privacy in the dorm!
Always hot water and the bathrooms are spotless!
Its a perfect mix between social and private!
The housekeeper/staff is always around and helpful.
Can highly recommend this place.
The sunset view is pretty as well :)
- Atsarawadee (9/5): Room is well prepared and cleanliness. Complete amenities. The staff is so nice and helpful. - Clenliness
- Charlie (9/5): Superb - Clean, comfortable, and quiet place, with good facilities, fast wifi, and free water/snacks on offer. The main receptionist couldn't speak any English which made it difficult to deal with issues sometimes. Not a big problem though, thanks to Google Translate.
- Ayers (9/5): Extremely cozy, cute, clean and homey. Many restaurants around. And about a 10-15 min walk from a cool water front night - It was extremely clean and cozy! You can make basic things in the kitchen like a sandwich or cereal but it’s not suitable to cook a full meal. However your in Bangkok and there is loads of stands and restaurants around you can get something to eat!
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ainslie (10/5): Meemaw's puts the "home" in homestay :) - I have spent a total of two months of my life in Bangkok and stayed at about a dozen hostels... MEEMAWS IS MY FAVORITE!! I loved my cozy stay here so much I stayed for two weeks. The hostel is perfect- clean, comfy, quiet, and very much like staying in a real home. I absolutely loved the rooftop for watching sunsets and sunrises. I have never seen so many street food options so close to the place I'm staying... I ate so well when staying here for about $2-3 per day. You must try the pad thai from the food cart right out front, so good!! There are even food options a 1 minute walk away that stay open well into the night, like 2-3am! Asiatique is a quick walk away, and the metro is about a 15 minute walk. The bathroom area has plenty of goodies for personal use- shampoo, lotion, micellar water with cotton pads, everything you could need! I recommend this place with my whole heart- thank you so so so much to Ms. Nahm and Ms. Sandy!!! I hope you see much success in 2024 <3
- Rey (7/5): Good - The location is good The room small

Good kitchen
Comfortable bed
- Anonymous (10/5): I couldn’t stay for long. But I really wished I could to feel the vibe of the house. Place is amazing. Aesthetic cozy an - It has very cozy vibe. I can actually feel the desire of the owner to give that vibe to its guest. Its actually a house instead of hotel. Very homely cozy environment. Staffs were super nice and lovely. Its just a feedback not disliking anything. It would have been better to communicate if other staffs could understand english or know some technology to translate the language. And a mirror in a room would be an additional point
- Yee (8/5): Very good -
