• Wouter Sparreboom (8/5): - Marina was a welcoming host. As she only speaks Spanish, we had to get creative in communicating but it worked out in the end. The location of the hotel is great, a few minutes walk away from the hussle and bussle of the centre but still close to everything. It was good the have the AC as it can get quite hot. We loved the fact that the boat dropped us off right in front of the hotel. The breakfast was simple but good, and for this price you can't go wrong. Watching the sunset from the terrace was great, and the like the fact that we had a personal outdoor space and a fridge. The beach is only steps away. Our room was too small for 4 people. It should really only be used as a double, or maybe for three people if they are travelling with a child. We booked a quadruple room for two adults and two teenagers and it was so cramped that we barely had floorspace to put our bags. One of the kids slept on a fullsize pull out bed, next to the big bed. The other one slept on a sofabed that was a bit too short and not really suitable for sleeping. The bathroom was also tiny, which is no problem for 2 people but for 4 it was a challenge. So make sure to check well what type of room you have before booking.

• Gilix (10/5): - Todo super bien... desde que hice la reserva estuvieron en contacto conmigo y me ayudaron con el transporte en lancha ... además nos cambiaron a una habitación más grande. El desayuno muy rico ....y por si fuera poco vimos a un perezoso ahí en un árbol cabe destacar que fue el único perezoso que vi durante todo mi viaje..y además estaba comiendo ..... Me hubiera gustado estar una noche más porque estábamos muy contentos ahí.

• Raluca (8/5): 7 Lake View Tortuguero - I liled the location because it is super central, next to the sea and a five - minute -walk to the centre. They also give you a lift by boat at the hotel so we didn't need to carry the luggage. The room was too small.and the breakfast is the same every day. If You stay 5 days it's not really nice.

Very nice gesture. The breakfast. Gallopinto (rice n beans) had no flavor, very bland, nor did it have beans. They looked like bean flakes. It was strange. We weren't given a choice of how we wanted our eggs cooked. Our eggs were overcooked. The coffee was definitely low quality for Costa Rica standards. Not a good breakfast.

• Axel (10/5): Super séjour - Tout ! Le logement est super bien placé face à la rivière, a 20m de la mer et a 200m du village. Le logement est très propre et fonctionnel, Marina est au petit soin avec vous, et l'organisation pour les activités étaient parfaites et les guides sont supers .

• Silvia (8/5): Entre el río y el mar - Estuvimos muy tranquilos porque no está en medio del pueblo, lo cual hace que la ubicación sea muy buena. Gracias a esto pudimos ver un montón de animales al lado de la habitación, y a tan solo 1 minuto andando llegas tanto a la playa como al pueblo; además, cuenta con embarcadero propio para dejar y coger el bote. Gracias por todo Marina, eres una anfitriona muy atenta y muy amable 😊 El agua de la ducha salía más fresquita que caliente, quizás eso se podría mejorar.

• MARIO (7/5): Ubicación espectacular en un hotel con encanto - La ubicación es increíble. La lancha te deja en el embarcadero propio del hotel. La limpieza podría ser mejor.
• Lucien (9/5): Super Lage mit freundlicher Besitzerin Marina - Die Lage war perfekt, ich meine zu behaupten die beste Lage auf der Insel. Man kommt von Pavona mit der Fähre an (es wird alles über die Unterkunft erledigt - Zahlung nur in Bar) und wird direkt vor der Unterkunft abgelassen. Auf der anderen Seite, keine 100m Fußweg befindet sich das karibische Meer mit einem Sandstrand. Marina die Besitzerin ist unglaublich freundlich, spricht jedoch nur spanisch. Auch der Außenbereich der Unterkunft ist traumhaft mit tollen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Das Bett ist bequem Die Dusche ist gut Es gibt einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer Kleiderständer gibt es nur draußen auf der Terrasse. Die Kopfkissen sind sehr hart. Zum Frühstück muss man in das Partner Hostel laufen - 5min Fußweg.
• Linda (4/5): ¡No nos gustó, pero quizá a ti sí! Lleva efectivo :) - Reservé una habitación cuádruple con vistas al lago y lo que me dieron no correspondía: ni era cuádruple ni tenía vistas al lago. Al llegar, la habitación no estaba limpia ni preparada; parecía que ni siquiera habían visto mi reserva porque la hice con poca antelación. No había nadie en recepción y terminé pagando 23 dólares de comisión porque no aceptaban efectivo y me obligaron a pagar en un comercio externo, justificando que era “IVA”, cuando ese impuesto ya está incluido en la reserva y en las actividades contratadas. La habitación es muy básica: no tiene toalleros, ni espacio para colocar la ropa, ni mesa para apoyar objetos. No hay agua caliente y el lavabo es diminuto. Encontramos pelos en las sábanas y el desayuno es muy pobre: dos huevos, unas rebanadas de pan blanco sin opción de cambio, y café o té, siendo el café prácticamente agua. Lo positivo es que nos gestionaron las excursiones, aunque en el pueblo hay muchas opciones y uno mismo puede conseguir mejores precios sin intermediarios. En definitiva: no money, no honey, y la experiencia no estuvo a la altura de lo prometido.

• cristina (10/5): Gracias por vuestra servicialidad - La comunicación desde la reserva fue maravillosa. Nos ayudaron con el transporte a Tortuguero y excursiones. Marina es una persona encantadora siempre disponible y ayudando. Tiene embarcadero propio, lo que lo hace muy cómodo. A menos de 5 min andando al centro del pueblo. Al lado pero más relajado A 20m de la playa. Habitación familiar para 5 súper cómoda, nueva y limpia. Aire condicionado. Mesita en la puerta para cenar y maravillosas vistas para llevarse al atardecer o amanecer en el embarcadero. Las fotos no hacen justicia para nada, es mucho mejor. Algo incómodo tener que ir al backpacker de los mismos propietarios para el desayuno, pero está cerquita y se adaptan a todo. El desayuno en sí.
• Iratxe (9/5): 100 recomendado sobre todo con niños - Hotel precioso, solo 3 habitaciones, cada una con su zona de mesa exterior a la sombra, muy bien cuidado. Zona de barbacoa, secado de ropa y fregadera para poder limpiar cazado o ropa. A 2 minutos caminando del centro de Tortuguero. El embarcadero propio le da un extra a la hora de llegar o ir a otros lugares facilitando mucho el tema de mover equipaje. Marina nos espero a nuestra llegada y nos atendió excelentemente, facilitándonos todo lo que necesitábamos y facilitándonos horarios para desayunar cuando teníamos actividades por la mañana. El desayuno es el en hostal que esta en el centro, 2 minutos caminando, unos huevos fritos con tostadas y fruta que nos daba la fuerza para empezar el día. Marina y todo el personal muy amable y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Habiente familiar entre trabajadores y huéspedes. Nada

Kendall nos ayudó con el parqueo en Pavona , el transporte a tortuguero y las actividades de desove y canoa. Todo perfecto. Alojamiento muy aconsejable, con su propio embarcadero, a lado de la salida a la playa, preciosas puestas de sol. El día de canoa Marina nos dio el desayuno tras la actividad, en otro alojamiento que tienen a 2 minutos. Gracias por todo.

• Brian (7/5): Basic en midden in de natuur - Er is daar mooie natuur waarbij je het wel moet treffen met het weer (wij hadden toch vrij veel regen). De locatie is basic maar prima om de nachten door te brengen. De mensen zijn vriendelijk, de boot zet je af bij de locatie en haalt je daar ook weer op. Ontbijt was op een andere plek in het dorp, ca 5-10 min lopen. We hebben daarom op de dag van vertrek het ontbijt maar overgeslagen. Verder wel nog twee kakkerlakken in de kamer gehad, krijg je er waarschijnlijk bij in de natuur. Was verder geen plaag, hebben ze gevangen en weggewerkt

• María Ángeles (8/5): Dos días inolvidables - La ubicación cerca del pueblo, con embarcadero propio para no desplazarse con equipaje. Antes de la llegada, Kendal ya nos facilitó todo lo que necesitábamos: reserva del parking en La Pavona, ticket de barco y reserva de excursiones con Tours locales totalmente recomendable (Tarzan Tours- Abel Díaz Borge). Marina, encargada del alojamiento y persona de contacto durante la estancia, es encantadora, siempre dispuesta a atender tus necesidades. El apartamento cuádruple realmente es una habitación doble donde pueden alojarse bien hasta tres personas. Demasiado pequeño para 4.

• Debra (9/5): Great place to stay for overnight turtle watching. - The transport boat left us off and picked us up right at the dock at the hotel. The place was very clean. It was great there was a hose & shower outside to wash off the sand from the beach from our feet and clothes. We appreciated the AC during the day. Loved the breakfast - a short walk from the hotel. Not enough blankets and towels, but staff gave more when requested. Only downside, using booking.com, paying on arrival increased the price when using credit card - added 13 percent.

Mariana es la mejor anfitriona que hemos tenido nunca, hizo que pudiéramos ver las tortugas en el desove, nos llevó dos días, se comunicó con todos los que estaban en la playa. El desayuno era en el centro del pueblo, en su casa, en una terraza al lado de la playa. Fue increíble, estamos muy agradecidos. NADA

• Jasmina (1/5): Delusione - Solo la posizione La host faceva la furbetta. Ho prenotato 2 camere per 5 persone e insisteva di metterci dentro una camera per lo stesso prezzo. Ho i miei motivi perche voglio 2 camere e le pagho. Non so minimamente com'è si è permessa di fare sto show. Siamo arrivati molto tardi con il trasporto privato. La signora insisteva di portarci in un ristorante dove lei sicuramente prende la provvigione. Vede la famiglia stanca con i bimbi piccoli e ci fa anche camminare invece di mostrarci il primo ristorante decente e disponibile. Anche il modo in quale ha gestito il pagamento non mi è piaciuto affatto. Insisteva che io paghi tutto in anticipo (incluso le gite) il momento che abbiamo sbarcato. La guida proposta da lei sbrigativa. Veramente siamo stati delusi. La camera era piena di insetti volanti e anche qua non credeva. Magari controlla la camera prima di metterci dentro gli ospiti??

La ubicación también genial a penas unos minutos del centro. El desayuno nos lo sirvieron después de la excursión sin problema, en otro establecimiento de la dueña. Realmente la relación calidad/precio es excelente. Nada, todo genial.

Nous avons donc été obligés de retirer de l’argent avec 8% de commission. Le petit-déjeuner n’est pas servi sur place mais à 5 minutes de marche : pas grave mais pas très pratique surtout quand il tombe des trombes d’eau et que tu arrives trempé.

• Abc (8/5): Super Erlebnis - Die Inhaberin war total nett und sehr kinderfreundlich. Die Unterkunft war für das Preisleistungsverhältnis echt super. Zu Fuß ins Geschehen waren es nicht mal 5 min zu Fuß. Das Frühstück war völlig ausreichend und lecker.

• nagore (10/5): Increible - Nos encanto la ubicación y la hospitalidad de la dueña. Las vistas son increíbles y ofrecen un desayuno delicioso. Las recomendaciones que nos hicieron de 10 No nos gusto tanto el guía que nos ofrecieron, nos falto información durante el tour.
• Annemarie (9/5): Best stay in lovely Tortuguero! - What a great place to stay. Loved it! It was a beautiful room and bathroom. The airconditioning was real great, I didn’t expect this in a place so far away in the middle of the jungle. Everything is so well arranged, from whenyou arrive until you leave. Loved the fact I stayed directly on the river. Fell in love with Tortuguero and its residents. Felt very relaxed and safe. Breakfast was included, but the times you could get the breakfast were impossible, from 7-9 am and with the tours starting so early, you can’t have the breakfast. Also on the day I left, the owner was gone, so it would have been a good idea to make other arrangements or lower the price.

• Elisabeth (7/5): Sehr nette Gastgeberin. Frühstück sehr gut. Würde aber nächstesmal eine andere Unterkunft wählen. - War direkt am Fluss. Kurzer Weg bis zur Lokation wo es ein sehr reichhaltiges Ticofrühstück gab. War nicht do sauber. Als es regnete kam das Wasser durch die Decke.

• LIDIETH (9/5): Bonito fin de semana largo en familia. - Muy bonitas las instalaciones. Doña Marina es una anfitriona excelente: nos mostró el pueblo, nos dio la información que necesitábamos y e hizo las coordinaciones para tours y pasajes. Recomiendo el alojamiento.

• Grace (10/5): - Marina was very helpful and friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend Lakeview. The only thing that I would improve would be the breakfast. I was expecting a full Costa Rican breakfast, but Marina did make us a bit of pinto.

• Maria (9/5): - La experiencia fue muy buena, calidad precio fue fantástico y la hospitalidad de los trabajadores y dueña insuperable. .
• Juan (9/5): Vacaciones en Costa Rica - Nos gustó mucho el trato de Marina y que el alojamiento estaba bien situado cerca del pueblo y al lado del embarcadero donde nos dejaron y recogieron. La habitación era pequeña pero cómoda Echamos en falta un armario o perchas para colgar ropa, pero Marina nos dijo que ya estaba en ello y que solo faltaba que se lo instalaran.
• Olivier (8/5): - La gentillesse de la propriétaire. L'emplacement de la chambre entre le lac et la plage et pratiquement dans le village (100m). La navette fluviale vous dépose au pied des chambres. la taille de la chambre est un peu petite pour 3 personnes notamment pour les bagages. Mauvaise expérience à l'arrivée car personne ne nous attendait et ces 3 chambres sont loin de la réception. en plus à Tortuguero, aucun réseau disponible. Nous étions perdus. Je conseille donc de bien prévenir de votre heure d'arrivée afin que les propriétaires puissent s'organiser (Nous ne l'avions pas fait).
• Anouk (9/5): spacious and lovely hostess marina - it was big, had air conditioning, a coffee machine and coffee to go with it, a small fridge. we were only two people but still somehow got the 4 bed room, which was very spacious for the two of us, as was the shower and bathroom. for breakfast you have to walk 5 minutes into the village, which was no problem for us. also once you book this room, they will write to you and send you a link to a website on which you can book parking in la pavona and a boat transport to tortuguero. everything is made very easy for the visitor. the transport also drops you off directly at the accomodation. marina, the hostess, is a lovely person, who can only speak spanish but will make you feel very welcome. she also arranged an early breakfast (06:15) for us on our last day so we could catch an early boat (06:40).

• Martijn (10/5): - Nice comfortable room. Nice outside area. Possibility to use kayaks for free. If you use them at the same day you do the tour, you can enter the national park yourself. Breakfast everyday, also very early when we needed it. Also the night walk was definitely worth it! Nothing.
