Guest Reviews
- Claudiu (10/5): -
- Renuka (8/5): Okay place - Quieter end of Tokyo. As its an apartment it had all the basics. Everything in working order. Staff not approachable. Left to fill the check in form standing in the doorway with all our heavy baggage after a long journey, so not a good start. Stephan made a point of saying he cleaned the place himself should be all ok but was the least clean place we stayed in whole of Japan (out of 8 hostels/hotels/apartments).

- Rafał (9/5): -
- Gwangjun (10/5): -
- JC (10/5): Perfect stay for my time in Tokyo. I stayed here 19 days and I don't regret it! - The location was amazing, right by various convenience stores (2 minute walk from a Lawson, and maybe a 4-5 minute walk from the 7/11), and most importantly, close to the Takenoutsuka station. The station was perfect for getting to touristy spots (Ueno, Ginza, Akihabara, Roppongi) and then if you want to go to Shibuya/Shinjuku, its usually just one train transfer away. So it was perfect. I loved how quiet the room was, I barely heard other guests, and also loved how it faced the sun in the morning, meaning a lot of natural light. Area around the hotel was very quiet and also very chill. Never crowded, but also lots of fun to explore the neighborhood. I barely saw any tourists here. During my stay, there was a lot of construction near by, but that did not impact my score at all.

- Gondii (10/5): A stay worth writing home about! - The room was large and instructions for everything that was in Japanese were written on a laminated English paper for us to read through. The host was also very responsive and answered all our enquiries in a satisfactory manner. The room was also quite clean and the amenities provided were similar to that of business hotels which is definitely a plus for backpackers or those who wish to pack lighter. The bathroom's bathtub was automated and using it was easy with the instructions provided. The fact that this hotel was walkable (2km~) from the popular soka hot springs + round 1 was a nice plus as well. Don't forget to check the stuff you can rent like the controller for the heated mattress. Oh and having a closet, a balcony, a bathroom dryer, a larger room than average plus a good deal of space for luggages makes this room a big big recommendation from me. The distance from some parts of Tokyo, particularly Shinjuku, shibuya, and nakano. But the room in takenotsuka is definitely worth the price and is a reasonable distance from akihabara, ueno, and asakusa. If you're getting multiple hotels in your trip like I am, you can always shift days where you visit these further places to the days where you stay in a hotel closer to these further away places.
- Daniella (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet, convenient (close to station and to multiple convenience stores). About an hour from central Tokyo, so keep this in mind if you don't want to spend a lot of time in transit.
- Teppei (5/5): -
- Phileo (10/5): Home away from home. Excellent facilities, pleasant stay. Non-regrettable - It was perfect, like a home away from home. I loved the neighborhood and the fact that it’s close to so many handy places like Lawson, 7Eleven, Equia and many lovely cafes hidden in the hood. The facility is close to Toneri Park and you can go there for your daily walks. It is close to a train station , and if you love metro rides , then you’ll love riding it to central Tokyo everyday . Makes you feel like a local. Stefan was absolutely pleasant and very helpful with everything. I will stay here again! The microwave is a little old but works regardless
- 张 (10/5): - 住宿体验非常好,设施齐全,厕所也是干湿分离的,就是单人间床有点小
- Mariagrazia (10/5): A real gem - Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully organized. Every detail felt carefully considered. The neighborhood was delightful. But what truly sets this place apart is Stefan. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made me feel welcomed from the very first moment.
- Steffen Avien (10/5): It was a wonderful stay - The property has all the amenities that you can ask for and all of them are new and functional. Just a bit far from central Tokyo but close to a train station.
- Alexia (8/5): - I had room 201 and it was well equipped. Very clean. I liked having a washing machine and the heating bath was a great add-on after a long walking day. Staff were very helpful A bit far away from Tokyo. However, the property is only a few minutes of walking from the railway station.
- Dean (10/5): Hidden gem - The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect, really safe, really clean. So comfortable. Good location close to the station and heaps of little shops nearby.
Very modern facilities and washing machine was a bonus.
- Nicola (8/5): Great, clean, quiet, safe home away from home run by the lovely Stefan! - Home away from home! Stefan was so lovely, friendly and helpful - thank you for your hospitality and chats! Loved my clean little unit with everything I needed. Having my own washing machine and strong aircon were highlights during the heatwave while I was there. Having kitchen very useful. Quiet, safe area and short walk to Takenotsuka train station and conbinis and supermarket (and Sushiro)! I had planned to go to Fuji-Q and Mt Mitake but it would have taken me about 3 hrs one way. It was my choice though to stay further out so not a fault of One Point Five.
The pillow was much more padded/firm than I am used to but the mattress was great.

- HSING YING (10/5): お部屋は広くて快適でした。スタッフの方もとても親切で、本当に気持ちよく過ごせました。次回また機会があれば、ぜひ利用したいと思います! -
- Echs (10/5): A lovely little home away from home - The place was absolutely exceptional! Lovely room with tatami mats, great bathroom facilities, and all the amenities needed for a short or extended stay! Was also exceptionally clean! Plus, Stephan was super helpful and friendly! Really nice neighbourhood too with plenty of interesting shops and good food around. Would 100% stay here again! I didn't dislike anything, really. At first, I was a bit concerned that it was a bit over an hour out of the Tokyo CBD, but I came to really like the neighbourhood and appreciate not being right in the heart of the city. Plus, Takenotsuka station is just a stone's throw away to get into the city. So, really nothing I didn't like!
- Sylvain (10/5): Exceptional - Close to train station, very quiet and clean, everything was perfect ! Nothing !!
- Mayur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manideep (8/5): Very good -
- Dennis (9/5): This hotel was a great part of my Tokyo experience. Minor flaws, but great stay! Can recommend - Staff is very friendly and can speak english fluently. Also responds very fast to messages on booking.
I stayed for 40 days and had everything i needed:
A Washing machine, microwave, fridge and a bath that can dry your clothes. I did homeoffice and used the television as a second monitor.
Quiet Area (unless your neighbor-guests are quiet) The bed and the pillows are very cheap and not the best. I slept without a pillow in the end.
1h metro drive to the city centre(s) - not the best area if you want to go out regularly for shopping and exploring.
As much as I can enjoy metro rides, it will get bothersome day by day.
Don't expect a European balcony - you can't sit outside. Used for drying clothes only.
- Artur (9/5): Lovely, authentic stay in a nice little apartment in Adachi. - Lovely place to stay when visiting Tokyo a bit outside of the more touristy areas. Even if it's a bit hidden, I found it to have the perfect distance to the subway. The place itself was very clean and had all the information needed for foreigners. The receptionist was very sweet, hard-working and thoughtful, helping me out with all kinds of questions. The check-in seemed a bit overwhelming for my European brain, but the receptionist guided me through it without a problem. Also beware of surrounding traffic if you're not used to Tokyo streets.
- Sabine (9/5): Perfect! - Much better than the photos! Maybe far from downtown but in a wonderful area.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, nice neighborhood. Check in and out was quick and smooth and if you needed any assistance it was easy to come by. Nothing at all
- Candr (10/5): Well equipped apartment - Stephan stayed late to check me in and regularly made sure I had everything I needed. He even arranged for a table and chair! The apartment is well equipped and 7 mins away from a station, with grocery and eating options all within a short walk. Perfect stay!
- Rubens (8/5): Very good -
- Jae (9/5): Good value, friendly and clean stay. - Very clean, very helpful and friendly receptionist, good value for money, great to have laundry and kitchen facilities, easy direct subway line into Tokyo. The bed was a little hard, woke with sore hips a couple of nights.
- Sovann (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (6/5): We didn't like the threats if visitors came around unannounced. They spy on you. - Stefan, the manager, did a very good job in looking after us. We had a single and a double room. The double room was small and did not have a table or desk big enough to eat or work from. We also didn't like the threats if we had a visitor come around unannounced. They spy on you. If visitors were to stay longer than an hour, you had to pay money. It all seemed to be commercially driven.
- Yuet (9/5): Wonderful stay! - The location of the hotel is quite close to the metro station (approximately a 7-minute walk). There are supermarkets and various restaurants nearby, so you can meet your daily needs without any problem. My room also had a washing machine, which made doing laundry very convenient. The staff is extremely friendly and speaks fluent English! I stayed for more than a month and had a very comfortable experience! I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you plan to stay in Tokyo for a while! There is no elevator in the hotel, so you will need to move your luggage up one floor.
- Nobody (9/5): Great place for a good value - -Close to train station(about 5 mins)
-Decent room
-Easy check in and check out
-Great communication
-Matches Photos
Overall you get what you pay for
- Andrey (10/5): My stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and felt like I was staying in a home away from home. - The location, while a good bit away from the many popular districts in Tokyo, was lovely. Clean, easy to find, and situated in a lovely suburban area which was extremely quiet for those that may prefer that.. It felt like a home away from home with how nice the neighborhood was. Without a doubt the best part of the property is its location in relation to the convenience stores, restaurants, and train stations in Adachi City. If you’re looking for enjoy the parts of Japan outside the busier major cities this is a wonderful place to stay. There really wasn’t anything to dislike.
- Neeha (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very clean, decently spacious, and came with a lot of amenities. Bathroom was also clean and a decent size. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and speaks fluent English. The room comes with a fridge, kitchen, and washer - while I didn't use any of the above, very well equipped, maintained. The location itself is quiet, and the nearest train station (~8-10 min walk) has a ton of shops, conbinis. Overall would definitely recommend, and I would 100% stay here again if I ever came back to Japan/Tokyo! No real complaints! The location isn't that close to central Tokyo, but it is in a quiet area (which is what I wanted) and you can reach areas such as Ueno in around 20 min (by train). The place itself was also a bit difficult to find the first time, but once you get used to where it is there is no issue.
- Oleksii (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmad (10/5): Amazing place to stay! - Staff: The staff is very friendly and easy going and can communicate in fluent English so it is great for those struggling with language. They even helped provide some tips about staying in Tokyo in general which is great. They can always be reached and respond to any issues quickly.
Bathroom: It was very comfortable to use and had everything.
Wifi: Fast speed without any issues connecting.
Room: Very comfortable, bed is a good size and the mattress is soft.
Kitchen: I didn't use it but the unit had a kitchen which can be used in a pinch! Microwave, fridge and stove top all available for use if needed.
Location: While not the closest to the main tourist attractions, it is only a 5 min walk from the Metro station. It takes about 20 minutes on the train to reach Ueno which can be used as a hub for easy access to the rest of Tokyo. Local restaurants and convenience stores are just a few minutes walk away. Nothing negative really, it was simply amazing.
- Andreas (10/5): Great for exploring Tokyo - The room was nicely furnished and a good size for a single person. The bed was very comfortable and appliances seemed new and modern.
Location is good, only a five minutes walk to Takenotsuka station and all kinds of shops and restaurants.
The staff was very nice and helpful, and spoke English very well.
Checking in and out was very easy.
- Sam (10/5): Great place to stay! Host was friendly and nice and the location was very close to the station. Would stay again! - Very clean and had good amenities, very close to the station Nothing I did like
- Jacqueline (10/5): A PERFECT PLACE TO STAY CLOSE TOKYO - THE PLACE LOOK LIKE BRAND NEW APARTMENT.. IT HAS ALL WHAT YOU NEED TO SPEND TIME LIKE IN YOUR OWN HOME THROUGH.
IS VERY SECURE AND THE RECEPTIONIST STEFAN IS FRIENDLY, AND A NICE YOUNG GUY Place is not near from center but using subway at 8 minutes walking you can go easily to every place around Tokyo
- Vaimataiva (10/5): I started here for 7 nights and I really enjoyed my stay. The apartment was private, clean and had everything I needed. - I liked that I had complete privacy and had everything I needed Location is a little hard to find at first and the city itself was located a little far from everything but it didn’t bother me much because it was really nice coming back to a quiet neighbourhood after a long day in busy and overcrowded cities/trains
- Sok (10/5): Overall, still a great option for a hassle-free stay. - The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was clean and well-equipped. The rooms were comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable experience. However, the 8-minute walk from the station and the need to climb stairs to reach the room upstairs could be inconvenient for some.
- Alessandro (10/5): A perfect stay. - Perfect. The staff is friendly, helpful, and speaks fluent English. The place is located in a quiet area five minutes on foot from the station. Ueno and Akihabara are about a twenty minute ride from there. The place itself was clean and everything was provided for, including a small kitchen and a washing machine. The price was absolutely fair. There is also a large, really nice park a ten minute walk away. I had a great stay and would absolutely choose to stay there again. Absolutely no complaints.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Wonderful apartment and location! - I really enjoyed staying here. It’s just 7 minutes walk from the station, where you can find many shops and food places. The area around the house is very peaceful and silent, exactly what I was looking for.
The room itself is spacious, new, very clean and provided with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The host is also one of the most friendly hosts I’ve ever had, and whenever I had questions I got an answer and/or help immediately. I can definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a bit of space, nice surroundings and want to stay a bit outside of the crowded tourist areas. -
- Scott (9/5): It was really enjoyable! I look forward to visiting again:) - It felt like I was staying in an apartment, not a hotel room, it was very clean and the staff were very kind and inviting. It’s a little far from central Tokyo, but it’s close to a train station so not too bad.
- Yong (8/5): Very good - A/C, pillow, decent amenities, quiet environment The mattress was too soft
- Alecia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sanne (9/5): Superb - Bright and suspicious, it has everything and it’s a studio alike room, the surrounding area are lovely. If you ready to spend some time to take the train to central area, it won’t be a issue at all.
- Hung-chun (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean
- Ferry (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, fast internet, and easy to access anywhere you want to go, near station,
And recommended for everyone None
