• Phatvarin (7/5): A clean older hotel with great staff and some bad guests - Conveniently located in Bangkok. Very close to a large mall that has a Harborland and Waterpark. Great for kids and adults. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was extra nice. The staff there are the best! Some of the clients staying there were noisy and rude. The room above ours was extremely noisy. Everyday it was like they were moving furniture around up until midnight. We complained once but it only made it worse. This every night. It’s a shame if it wasn’t for some of the guests, this place would have been fantastic. These same people would trash the pool area every day. Unruly children. We are a family of five, but you’d never know that because our culture taught us to have manners. The Thai, Russian, American, Korean, Japanese and Chinese guests were fine But Middle Eastern culture apparently doesn’t teach manners. Screaming down from the balconies to the pool. Leaving trash. No class.

• Rolf (8/5): - Rundherum ein gutes Hotel, Zimmer, Frühstück, Personal sehr hilfreich und freundlich. Zimmer hatte noch eine ältere Ausstattung, aber es gibt auch neu gestaltete Zimmer fürs nächste mal. Aber auch unser Apartement war hinsichtlich Austattung und Sauberkeit voll in ordnung.

• Cultura (5/5): Hôtel propre et joli, mais très éloigné du centre ville! - La chambre et la propreté. L’emplacement très loin du centre ville. Attention si vous venez les taxis refusent de vous y amener. On a dû payer 3 fois le prix d’une course et attendre plus de 2 heures pour rentrer les taxis sur application vous laissent tomber souvent car c’est loin !

• Alain (9/5): - The hotel is very well maintained by excellent and professional staff. I had a Studio, it was great, quiet, good bed, super clean. Great housekeeping. But what I liked the most was the restaurant on site, superb Thai dishes, great service with some nice German beers on the menu. The location was not great. Not many food options around, not much to do in the evening.

• Jean Pierre (10/5): - Keurig verblijf in Bangkok, vriendelijk personeel, dichtbij the Mall Bangkapee. Centraal en makkelijk met taxi naar toplocaties. Zwembad mag wat meer zorg.
• Timea (9/5): Great value for your money - super friendly staff, breakfast is good, they cater for special needs as well, the room was nice and big enough. There's a big mall nearby for shopping and money exchange. It's not in the city center, but this could be seen as a positive thing too, you get the real feeling :-)

• Robert (8/5): Nice hotel for a short stay. The restaurant was exceptionally good - Good location Good breakfast and restaurant Gym was ok The TV didn’t work. Couldn’t change channels easily. Also channel selections were poor.

• Mollie (10/5): Kantary House welcoming stay - All the staff were very helpful, , lovely people, if there was a problem it was fixed straight away. The pool was amazing and so clean. Facilities were good. Breakfast was superb, The Gym air-conditioning was always off, so going into a 30 degrees gym was a big ask, difficult at first., also it would have been nice to have more choice of English channels on the TV, we were there for medical reasons so it wasn't a holiday, just would have been better.

• Yin (2/5): Old, shabby, not worth the money at all.just don’t trust the photos - terribly worn out building and facilities. The photos on the booking site are deceiving, so were the 5 star ratings. Had booked two stays and decided to cancel the second one once I checked in into the first. Staff is kind, somehow I felt they are expecting the disappointment of guests when they arrive at the hotel, but it was not the staff’s fault. Definitely avoid for the price fellas. In hindsight, I rather spend an additional 30 mins on travelling for a much newer hotel which is still at least 30% cheaper than Kantary. One more thing, they posted a photo of a snooker table, but staff said it’s no longer available. This is a bit dishonest when they used it as a recreational facility for guests.

• Wendy (7/5): Very long travel to central Bangkok to connect with tours. - The staff were divine. Asian style breakfast was great. Room was very good. Quiet location. Once found out about area, great shopping mall called The Mall Lifestyle, Bang Kapi, night market outside near overpasses, name of closest station is Bang Kapi on yellow line. 15-20 minute walk. Convenience store around corner. Tourist Information for Western tourists would be very helpful. Eg. Maps of Bangkok, closest rail, shopping mall, food stalls. The pool and jacuzzi were too cold.
• Jake (1/5): No bath no view - Staff were polite and helpful Room was advertised as having a bath and a balcony with a city view, but there was categorically no bath and no view!. TV remote did not work. The breakfast was disappointing. I was told there would be croissants and fruit salad, neither of which were available. Given the price, I expect honesty abd accuracy. Why lie about baths and views? It's self-defeating. EDIT: I'm disappointed with the response from the management that seem to suggest my room was "upgraded" by removing the bath and the view, and that I should have been clearer in my expectations when booking. What nonsense! It is not the responsibility of the customer to clarify which amentities are available when booking or checking in, if you advertise a room with a bath and give me a different room, how is this my fault? and in what world does this constitute an upgrade? Rating amended 1/10.

• Adrian (1/5): Bad - We're do I start, booked for 5 nights stayed 1, no refund, room had smell of cigarettes, room and hotel.out dated, bathroom door locked and couldn't get out. Had to get staff in to break door handle off. Stuck in there for 20min. If thier was a fire I'd be dead. Looked under the bed nappies on the ground unsure clean or dirty , that was the final straw. Location was terrible, little Arabic area. Full of Koreans and Arabs 30min from bkk

Recently I've stayed at the Novo Hotel Wembley, London, The Intercontinental o2 London, and the Midland Hotel Manchester, all fantastic hotels, I do work in the hotel industry, The Kantary hotel measures up to any hotel I've stayed or been involved with, the welcome we got when we arrived was 2nd to none, the staff from Reception, chamber maids, cleaning staff, breakfast and restaurant staff are all highly trained and are true Ambassadors for this hotel. The chefs in my opinion are highly skilled in the food they prepare and cook. I'd like you to look out for an amazing waitress called Nutty, I can see this young lady going far in her career, the hotel is spotless, the guy who looks after the pool is on the ball. He knows his job, look our for the lady who looks after the car park, another true Ambassador for this company, The rooms are home from home, so comfortable and very spacious. I enjoyed my stay that much that we're going back in February, also this hotel is close to the main road which is a massive plus for using the transport. I Guarantee you will love this hotel. 10/10 from me. That my stay came to an end

Jacuzzi water was cold. Only Upon requesting a second time, hot water was made available. In the hospitality business you’ve gotta have staff that speaks a little bit English, especially when your guests come from all over the world.
