- Silvia (1/5): Pésima atención - Pésimas condiciones las habitaciones sucias con polvo el piso de madera se movía no era estable el baño muy pequeño y sucio todo mal que no pudimos quedarnos muy mala la atención y no me reembolsaron el 50% que había adelantado en la reserva NO LO RECOMIENDO Pésimo no muestra como esta en las fotos es todo lo contrario

El único calefactor era la chimenea, que encendían solo por una hora por la noche. La presión del agua en la ducha era muy baja y el agua estaba apenas tibia, no caliente. Debido a esto, no fue posible relajarse ni descansar en la casa. Además, la casita no se cerraba con llave, por lo que no nos sentíamos cómodos dejando nuestras cosas dentro.

Venez la veille du marché du samedi à Otavalo dans cet hôtel vraiment unique où la vue panoramique dans la chambre sur le lac et le volcan est fabuleuse (mais aussi dans le restaurant). La famille est adorable, discrète, aux petits soins pour nous. Le petit déjeuner et repas vraiment délicieux. Ils aiment les animaux, c'est beau, très bien tenu et font un feu de cheminée dans la chambre. RAS tout parfait !

Buen desayuno Son cabañas realizadas con muy bajo presupuesto, el suelo vibra al caminar, el baño es diminuto, al punto que si te sientes en el inodoro no puedes sentarte de frente, ya que tus piernas no caben, debes sentarte de lado. La ducha un desastre, tira el agua hacia la pared. Los cables eléctricos de la cabaña están expuestos, lo cual es un riesgo de incendio inminente. Básicamente la cabaña la hicieron con sobras de material y dormir hasta tarde es imposible ya que las cortinas dejan pasar toda la luz de la mañana.

El lugar posee un estilo propio y traslada la experiencia unos cuantos años en el pasado sin perder lo que me imagino es parte de su cultura y tradición! Volvería encantando! Ciertos miembros del staff carecen de experiencia en comunicación con sus clientes. Debido a la relación calidad-precio esto no viene a ser una queja sino mas bien una pequeña recomendación.

There was no heat, but they gave us good blankets. The shower was a little sketchy, but we did get our showers.

Helpful, accommodating staff who are ready to help on any way. Good food for great value. The dirt access road was steep and a difficult climb for our vehicle. The cabin was more rustic than we expected. They do have a beautiful new glamping option.

- Andrea Dajak (10/5): Absolute gem - You won't regret if you book this place! Cottages are on a hill by the volcano overlooking the lake and other volcano, at the end of the gravel road. Perfect place to relax! Such a warm and cozy cottage and the bed was the best and most comfortable on our long trip. We took a cottage with fireplace and just enjoyed our time soaking up the view and calm village energy. The staff is really kind and nice, breakfast simple and great. A lot of animals running around, all passersby very polite. Wonderful accomodation to stay even longer.

In de avond werd het vuur van de open haard voor ons aangestoken. Super romantisch met haardvuur en uitzicht over de lampjes van de stad in het donker. Ze hebben ook een jonge hond en kittens die graag de toeristen gezelschap houden. Het is heel basic. Dus verwacht geen luxe. Maar dat past ook bij het sfeertje van de hut.

Le lieu est magnifique, en pleine nature, apaisant et inspirant — une vraie déconnexion. 💚 Une expérience unique, sincère et humaine, que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation ! 🙌 la cheminée n'est pas restée allumée, il faisait donc froid pendant la nuit/le matin

Held bags post checkout. Cute dog! Shower was cold unless you barely turned on the water. Not much seating in the living room. No wifi in cabana. No curtain on main window, so it got bright early. Had to order a taxi to get to/from town unless you wanted to hike up a big hill.

- Philip (3/5): Pretty awful service - Great view of the mountains. Cabin was dirty. Beds uncomfortable. Barking dogs outside the cabins at every time of day. Quite scary at night. The staff constantly looked like they didn’t know what they were doing. There was no toilet paper or soap in our bathroom and when I asked the staff I had to wait in the reception for ages while she tried to look for some. The staff are nice but didn’t respond when we wanted something and are flaky about what/when meals are available. Dinner was pretty bad - beef so tough you couldn’t chew it. Breakfast was supposed to be from 7:30-8:30 but we got no response from the owners in the morning and so checked out at 8:15.

It is located a lil away from town and the road up to the place can be challenging for a small car. You'd need to use taxi if not driving your car.

Hostess was very helpful with local recommendations and arranging drivers. Evening meals and live music topped off great days exploring Otavalo. Cabins are on the quaint side which was very calming and restful, but not fancy.

- Nicolas (1/5): A nightmare - Nothing maybe the view from de room One of the worst in my life , Not clean, can't close your door, lose electricity cables, no curtains from the viewpoint, no shower curtain so the water falls everywhere on the toilet, beds sunken and not comftable at all, noisy barking dogs at night, food was bad so we skip breakfast and left early. He say the community is safe but the neighborhood felt exstreme unsafe, no parking for the car, the only thing that was ok is the view from de room but it is not worth the hassle

- Carito (7/5): It is nice but there are many things to improve - The view is amazing and the fireplace is very nice. The hosts are very friendly and it is nice to breath clean air. Good to connect with nature! Internet is good. Getting there is not easy and the roads are steep and very dusty. Very small shops are nearby, but no a supermarket. There were very little soap, no shampoo, no hand towel. The bathroom curtain needs to be changed, the shower needs to be cleaned as the water goes in many directions. The microwave needs the glass plate to put the cups. There was no tea towel. Blankets should be cleaned in between guests as some of them had lots of hairs from others. It rained while we were there and the water entered the room so we had to move our bags and the room curtains got super wet. We stayed 4 days and breakfast was exactly the same everyday.

- Tomas (7/5): Good - The view from the room is fantastic! Breakfast also very good. You're surrounded by nature and local communities. The cabana is cozy, comfortable and spacious. It's a nice spot to stay close to the main attractions from the area by car. The room was super cold when we arrived, and it continued being cold despite the logs in the fireplace and an electric heater. There seems not to be any isolation at all, which is also reflected in the noise that came in (dogs barking, and cars from the main street). Maybe I was much more sensible to this since I was not feeling well that particular day. There are no keys per se, since they said that it's an indigenous community; understandable, but not for a tourist standard that needs to take care of personal belongings such as money, passport, credit cards, etc.

Outside they have many animals to cuddle. ❤️ Our cabin had a fireplace and was very lovely and cozy. The owner and his family and staff are very kind and helpful. I would love to come back again!

- Dirk (6/5): Pleasant - The view was fantastic! Also the family who are running this place are very helpful. On arrival we had diner which was good. Beds are comfortable, clean sheets. Wires and light switches hanging loose which with little effort is easy to adjust. Same as a damaged table. Put a little effort in these small things and it just gives a better look / feeling. There’s a busy road about 500m away, which will be heard in the evening / night. Same for barking dogs in the evening.

- Lucy (6/5): Nice views - Really beautiful view and they offer a very nice tour of the area. The door had no lock/key. This wouldn’t be a huge issue however someone ended up pushing my door open at 1 am. It woke me up and was very frightening.
- Daniela (3/5): looks better than it is - the view is absolutely stunning, wifi connection was good it’s very cold, you have a chimney inside without proper ventilation so wouldn’t recommend. also you don’t have parking, car stays in the middle of the street, they say it’s safe because it is in the middle of an indigenous community, but still didn’t feel safe.
- Sonnynyc (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous views, rustic cabin, great hosts, cats, dogs, and a llama, delicious food! I highly recommend staying here. My only regret is not staying longer.
- Lee (5/5): Funky place to stay with great views as long as you are ok with rustic - The cabañas were old and funky, which was fine. The view was great. I liked the individual cabins and the spaciousness- living room with fireplace plus bedroom. Lots of nice warm blankets on the beds which was good as fire went out by midnight. I think travelers who like rustic will be happy here, and best to have some warm clothing in this area. At 9200 foot elevation, it was quite chilly at night and the old cabin had many cracks to outside where wind came in. The woman told us they would light a fire in the fireplace at 7pm. By 8pm we were quite chilly and I went to the reception area to find out what was up. Finally the guy came and lit it- the wood was wet so it took along time to get going but by 9pm it was much more comfortable. Pillows were terrible and flat; blankets tho were nice and warm

- Michael (5/5): Passable - The view from the couches in our room and the main area. The free breakfast was good. The cabin was freezing there was no insulation , felt like the coldest night we had in a month of travelling equador. They said they would start our fire for us but then didn't, gave the smallest amount of wood. We needed extra because it was sooo hard to light it and get it hot with no kinddling and then they tried to charge us an extra $3 for more wood. Absolutely ridiculous. So sad because it is such a beautiful spot but the owners obviously have no idea how to run a successful guest house, if they learn to be more hospitable it could really thrive. The fire in the main house during dinner wasn't lit either - it was freezing I guess they were trying to save $$ and wood! Which is ridiculous for the price we were paying. Also didn't have change for $100 even thought we paid at least $70, it was cash only and there were other guests there. Luckily some other guests had PayPal and saved our butt.
