Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (3/5): Not the best - No Tv, unsatisfactory amenities, unclean, no information on how to close gate for pets, uncomfortable beds
- George (1/5): Appalling, unhealthy conditions and false advertisement - Nothing at all. We booked this property for two families, all of which were adults, from 6 June to 9 June, under the listing that advertised 5 bedrooms containing 5 large double beds and a single bed. I spoke to Austin (the host’s son) who confirmed this arrangement with me on 12 May. Upon our arrival at approximately 7:30pm on 6 June, we discovered that the property only contained 4 double beds and 2 singles. This was a significant misrepresentation and meant one of our guests had no proper place to sleep, leaving them with no other than to use one of the couches in the living area.
Worse still, the cleanliness and hygiene of the property were appalling. All bedding – including sheets, blankets, pillowcases, and mattresses – was visibly dirty, stained, mismatched, and riddled with hair and crumbs. One double mattress and both single mattresses were placed directly on the floor without any bed frames, creating a clear health and safety hazard.
Due to these conditions, we were forced to purchase new bedding at our own cost late at night, which amounted to several hundred dollars. Despite this, guests still experienced allergic reactions such as puffy eyes, coughing, and wheezing, clearly linked to the state of the property.
Further issues included:
• Property is currently listed for sale. On one occasion, a member of the public attempted to enter and inspect the property. They were obviously refused entry.
• False advertisement: All furniture in the loungeroom was completely different and nothing like advertised. The booking photos also failed to depict that some mattresses were placed on the floor.
• Unclean bathrooms: urine and pubic hair on toilets, dirty sinks and tapware, leaking showers, and unwashed towels. All guests had to purchase their own towels due to the state, and lack thereof, of the ones provided by the host.
- Le-anne (4/5): Disappointing - The house was nicely presented. Lounge was comfortable to sit on. Floors were vacuum and washed. Bed was comfortable. The house hadn't been cleaned properly, main bathroom bin not empted, bath was filthy, body hair on sheets upstairs, tv didn't work, the aerial was broken. Gate keys not available on arrival. Phone call to receive.
- Spring (3/5): Poor - At first glance the property seemed very nice but The property was not set up like a holiday rental, the bedding was mismatched, and appeared old. There were not enough towels and kitchen supplies such as cutlery plates and glass wear.
The dinning room table did not have enough chairs and there was no outdoor furniture to enjoy the patio- when going outside it was very dirty to the point where our feet were black.
One of the beds could not be slept in as it was too hard, another room had a mattress on the floor as a bed. There was a dirty tray in the oven that had not been cleaned and we were infested by ants in the down stairs bedroom and kitchen.
On a plus side there were plenty of bedrooms and thank goodness for the aircon.
We notified the owners of our concerns but did not recieve much of a response they just said that the proprty was fine but unfortunately it was not
The pictures on booking.com did not match the interior of the house
- Vlatko (8/5): Very good - Location Could not park in driveway
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- Rachael (4/5): Disappointing - House was in a good location near our event. Host was helpful. House was unclean especially the bathrooms and the beds were awfully uncomfortable. The place was missing an iron which was listed as included, the host provided one after I text them. The tv also didn’t work.
- Sandy (6/5): This house has potential to be perfect - Lots of bathrooms, modern home TV didn't work. The lounge had sheets over it.
Showers leaked onto bathroom floors, need replaceable bath mats. The ones there just stayed soggy.
Some complimentary tea/coffee would of been nice.
The choks holding the beds up and one mattress on the floor. This makes it difficult for a disabled/elderly person.
The house was nice, just lacked the little nice things that you remember on your short stay.
- Raelene (6/5): Great house if you have lots of guests. - Good location, lots of rooms and bathrooms kitchen was not well stocked, not enough cutlery and plates for all the guests and very limited cooking equipment. TV did not work and when informed the care taker no effort was made to correct it. One bed could not be slept in it was so hard.
- Jamie (7/5): Good -
- Spooner (5/5): good location but not worth being uncomfortable for a week - Convenient location, size of the property, value for money the beds were uncomfortable, the lounge was uncomfortable and hard to get out of as it was very low to the ground, not enough kitchen items to be able to cook a meal which is what we were looking forward to be able to help with costs. The bath mats were sopping wet and when drying them out they smelled.
- Nelvin (5/5): Spacious and good facilities however needs some attention to detail - Location is great and the house is great as well with plenty of space. Some areas of the house (downstairs bathroom) was not clean. took us an eternity to figure out how to turn on the stove. Host did not provide the gate keys so we can park the car inside. However did provide when asked. Backdoor could not lock and we were just advised that its a safe area and no need to keep it locked.
- Jacqui (3/5): Poor - The location The place needed a good clean. The whole house is tiled therefore is super loud. You can hear every conversation happening downstairs when you are in the bedrooms upstairs.
There were 2 towels provided for a 5 bedroom house, An iron but no ironing board (when i asked for one, i was bought a cupboard door).
- Zara (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (5/5): Sharks - Amount of bedrooms and bathrooms Not enough towels for 5 adults and two children. More toilet paper needed to be provided. Extremely hard double bed in one of the bedrooms. Pillows had rips inside. Garage door didn't go up using the remote.
