Guest Reviews
- Matt (10/5): 10/10 - Beautiful space, very clean and quiet home. We would definitely be back in the future. Thanks again!

- Carol (5/5): - Location It had a strong smell of stale cigarettes
- Jenna (1/5): Waste of money! - Nothing :) Host did not answer ANYTHING. Area is terrible. Booking.com is awful. Forever booking Airbnb or hotels from here forward. Oh! Also! Reviews popped up AFTER booking that if I had seen prior I would have never in a million years booked this nightmare.
- Dunitz (3/5): Based on my review above I felt the cost of $210.90 Canadian per night was prohibitive. - No breakfast. Acceptable location. It was difficult to tell where the residence was since there is no number on the outside of the dwelling. I figured it out by looking at other dwellings that were identified by their number. The entrance is shabby looking with steps of raw wood with some paint at intervals. The unit is adjacent to an alley on the side and back. When I arrived, there were riffraff in the alleys and one person sleeping in the parking space I was to use. It took some people there about five minutes to get their ‘friend’ to wake up and move. This was a disconcerting start.
The location was about a block from the streetcar at Ontario and Dundas which was convenient.
I stayed there for eleven days. The room was just inside the entrance. It was clean and comfortable as was the attached bathroom. The dresser drawers were not clean and had pieces of debris in them. There was no basket in the room and no glass or cup (I got one from the kitchen). Two bath towels were provided for my eleven day stay, no hand towel or wash cloth. There was only one role of toilet paper which would not have been adequate had I not been away from early morning to mid-evening every day. The sound insulation was questionable and one evening I was forced to listen to people in the room above me having sex.
- Kimberley (2/5): Our stay was uncomfortable due to poor cleanliness, lack of essentials, and broken amenities. - N/A Dirty, no air conditioning. Pillows were very poor, there was 1 small hand towel, no bath towels or face cloths. The bathroom had mold all around the tub, clumps of hair in sink, just basically all around dirty. The window crank was broken.
- Neil (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): - Affordable price for area Location felt unsafe. Many homeless drug addicts around all the streets near the property. It was uncomfortable walking around the streets especially at night.
No kettle on the kitchen and limited kitchen supplies despite there being a shared kitchen area. As a result we did not use the kitchen
- Per (6/5): -
- Siamak (10/5): We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you! - Wry clean and close to a lot of amenities.
- Guest (6/5): -
- Robbie (3/5): Not good - Very basic room, only extra was a smart tv. everything was in need of an update, bed was uncomfortable, pillows not clean.
Very noisy when upstairs moved around, cleaners banging around for an hour.
Not the owners fault but streets around full of homeless and druggies, did not feel safe there.
Only stayed one night and moved to a different place.
Couple leaving in morning were doing the same.
- Paola (4/5): Super sketchy neighbourhood - The house was ok, spacious and over all clean. The neighbourhood was terrible. Lots of homeless and drug addicts roaming around the house at all times during the day and night. It was very sketchy and it felt very unsafe. My room was in the first floor and some people even knock on the window during the night. The host was nice and the house was ok, but giving the neighbourhood situation I would never ever recommend this accommodation.
- Mary (3/5): Although close to downtown you were forced to take a cab as there were a lot of people that lived desperately on the str - Close to downtown and nice structure for house The area was extremely dangerous. Overdose people and drug deals all around.
- Lisa (4/5): Room was great inside. Not a good neighborhood, especially with young kids. - The room was nice, clean, and the balcony was a fun addition. A room fan would make it more comfy. Bed was memory foam and supportive. The house air conditioner was set low without a room fan so the windows were the only option for a breeze. With that said, it was a bit scary. Mainly because one end of the street fairly ok, but the other side was heavily dominated by homeless and drug zombies. This is a corner unit which immediately abuts a warehouse of some sort with a lot of late night activity. We left a day early.
- Francisco (7/5): Good value for money for a short stay - Close to downtown Toronto, an easy 15-20min walk from Yonge St.
House is good value for money, nothing fancy but it is a good option for a short stay Not the fault of the property, of course, but do avoid the northern street, is not a nice place to walk but again not at fault of the owner
- Bartosz (5/5): Passable - Cheap, free parking, good size room, clean kitchen Neighbourhood full of drug addicts
- Maricruz (10/5): Unique stay in Old Town - It is a charming house in a very quaint, quiet street. Old neighborhood charm, very cozy. Easy to walk everywhere, and about a 30 minute walk from Union Station. Nosy italian guest speaking loudly late at night But that is not the hosts' fault.
- Mathilda (1/5): If junkie dens are you thing, this is the place for you. - I guess that none of the junkies didn’t break in to the house was good. And it didn’t leak rainwater. I have travelled extensively all over the world and don’t think I’ve ever felt this uncomfortable and uneasy as at this place. It’s in one of the worst areas in Toronto, the street outside the very run down house is full of zombie junkies and prostitutes so very scary to walk around. The young male host seems totally uninterested in making the place feel welcoming, our shower didn’t work and we got a shrug and told to shower in the room across the hall. Not that we could move in to that slightly less awful room, just shower there. Also it’s so echoey especially at night you get the feeling he can hear every conversation from his room upstairs. The house is also old and creaky. Then the hygiene. The place is absolutely filthy. Nothing has been deep cleaned for years, strange hair everywhere, stained rugs, grime and dirt on all surfaces, then the broken shower in our room had yellow crust in the cracks and corners. Three almost empty toilet rolls laying down in the dirty window next to the toilet. The the fridge and sink in the kitchen downstairs was disgusting and can’t be used. Could go on and on.. Paid almost 100 euro a night for this, both me and bookings have requested at least a partial refund but the guy doesn’t even reply. Avoid this place, it’s a rip off and an awful stay. Can’t even believe it’s on bookings at all that should have some sort of standard one could think.
- Marqueze (8/5): Good - The bed The neighbourhood
- Viktoriia (6/5): Pleasant - Good accommodation and the host responded quickly, and helped with questions. District was interesting and useful. Parking is good. The balcony is wonderful. There was some dust and a bit someone else's hair in the bathroom. The microwave in the kitchen didn't work and it was dirty. The floor creak, so you could hear the neighbors at night.
- Hunish (1/5): Bad -
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Erick (7/5): Good value for money, 15-20 min walk to core downtown - Central location, about a 15-20 min walk to core downtown. Apartment had everything you need :) Shower is very small in the deluxe suite. It’s slanted because of the roof. Bed is comfortable. AC is unfortunately centrally controlled. Normal wear and tear on furniture
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Smart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rose (8/5): Very good -
- Ayush (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolas (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (5/5): good value - great location, did not like all the stairs to the room. no face cloths, and a very little roll of toilet paper that ran out. called the phone number and person was very rude.
- Jamie (8/5): Really good place to stay - Lovely spacious room and was clean. Walls were a little thin and so other guests could be noisy
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Comfortable and clean Maybe my fault, i hadn’t realized it was an airbnb type location, on arrival the entrance to the house looked dirty and abandoned. I was lucky to see someone at an upstairs window and ask, otherwise i would have tried to cancel the booking
- Sylvia (5/5): Affordable downtown location but that's it - Clean towels and bedding. Responsive host. Parking available. Easy check in. Silverfish and other bugs. Damaged shower fixtures that felt loose including doorknobs. Nowhere in bathroom to hang towels. Closet had 3 hangers. Thin walls and hardwood floors so you can hear other guests and upstairs people walking around. Bathroom dirty. Vanity had one leg bent or broken. Bed had no box spring. Balcony was full of leaves so could not use. Drug addicts in alleyway.
- Safvan (9/5): Superb -
- Jesse (8/5): Very good - The room was huge. Private bathroom was clean and modern. Nice balcony. Location was ok.
