• aoldfield (10/5): Unique Friendly Hostel in Baku’s Old City - This is a unique hostel that gives you the experience of really living in Baku’s Old City like a real person, not like a tourist. The host Cemil is very helpful, and is also a professional cook. Interesting people come by to talk, and there is a little store right next door. The place is renovated and everything works, good internet, but it is like living in an Old City house, not like a hotel. Only the single room has a window onto the street. They are very flexible and will meet you any time you need to arrive. There is always tea on the stove for you. Everything was fine

• Zuzanna (8/5): Good value for money for one night - - clean room - very good location - earlier check in - hospitable and helpful host - value for price - not really easy to find a place (google maps don’t show the address correctly, you should go to host WhatsApp and see the actual pinned location in his description) - walls are thin and you hear easily people walking and talking on the street as well as other travellers upstairs - bathroom is small and located in a very common area, could be a bit cleaner too

The surroundings are quiet too as no cars can pass by, which is perfect. It is close to everything: restaurants, metro, shops… if I come back to Baku, I’ll definitely stay here again.

• Kai (10/5): Exceptional - Located in the old town and very family atmosphere. The host Cemil was super nice and always available for a chat. Absolute recommendation. Quietly located and very authentic. I hope I can visit again soon
• Pineda (8/5): Annejo Dubai - The location is in the center of Old town baku, very close to restaurants and metro. Very good location for those who wants to explore Old city. Room is neat and clean however bathroom is for common use. Not crowded and the place is super quite. Recommended for group or solo traveller. Expect a typical old european type of hostel made of wood but overall its good. Wifi is superb. The host is very helpful and kind. Difficult to locate ask the taxi driver to call the host for the exact location, hotel signage is not visible. The hostel is at the back of Muse Cafe in Old Town Baku.

• John (7/5): Small but ideally-located hostel-style accommodation - Great location, nice owner, WiFi works well The description is a little deceptive and does not make it clear that you are sharing a room, the room descriptions should be updated to say ‘bed in room’. As a hostel, it’s comfortable enough but basic and small. No secure storage space as far as I noticed.
