- Lois (8/5): Okay. - Location A little noisy
- Walter (4/5): Overpriced. - Comfortable bed Noisy main road traffic.. Hot. Milk was frozen. No washing up facility. No plates.
- Madison (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Good place to stay, I'd be happy to stay there again. - Breakfast was simple but as expected and totally acceptable. The bathrooms were modern, which was a nice change from some older pub accomodation. Not much, things were fairly typical of a pub stay.
- Hao (7/5): -
- Toni (7/5): -
- Nerine (9/5): - Pam opened up the Pub for us.
- Van Lubeck (10/5): Very pleasant older building, extra clean facilities, quiet room - N/A, did not have breakfast An area to wash up dishes in the kitchen or a rack to stack them in.
- Nerys (9/5): The Light Horse Hotel exceeded our expectations. - Great little pub in Harden. Room was good size and bed was comfortable. Bathrooms were reasonably new and very clean. Food and service was first class.
- Neil (8/5): -
- Colleen (10/5): Great for an overnight stay. Friendly locals :) -

- uduwerella (6/5): It was a different experience. Bar was awesome and staff was very nice. Even though they have heated blankets and heater - Good environment and atmosphere was very nice.
For coffee and microwave, head over to lounge room We were unaware that they only have shared bathrooms. Otherwise everything was good.
- Carla (8/5): Really good country pub, my sister over from the UK LOVED her experience. - Nice old property, well loved and maintained. Worth a drive off the highway as it was so peaceful at night. Good food, but check if the kitchen will be open the accomodation is 7 days but the pub isn’t open every day.
- Rachael (7/5): - The hotel had comfie beds, bathroom facilities were modern. Stay was comfortable. Difficult to get fresh supplies as hotel itself wasn’t open on a Sunday. Thankfully we did run into a lady who could give us more towels. Free Continental breakfast advertised however there was cereal with no milk and toaster with no toast. No coffee anywhere in sight. Small things neglected like filthy common room fridge, busted packets of cereal everywhere and overflowing bins in common areas.
- Michael (6/5): - Food was great not a long wait No sports on tv
- tucker (10/5): excellent - I liked everything about the The Light Horse Hotel from the food all the way to the rooms and the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and all the heaters and electric blankets were working perfectly. The pillows were the only thing that i thought could of been better.
- charlotte (6/5): -
- Ann (5/5): Convenient but not enough effort to look after the guests. - Great old style pub.
Good wholesome meal. Very noisy. I was the only person staying and yet they put me in a room directly above the bar and right at the front on the road.
The curtains were falling down and didn’t close properly.
There was no basic breakfast as mentioned on the first morning. When I rang the after hours and pub phone number it went to answering machine.
It wouldn’t take much to look after a guest , but this was not attempted.

- Robert (7/5): Confortable country pub accommodation - Location Reliability of power-went off a couple of times in lounge/breakfast area
- Ashley (1/5): This place was not open when I arrived so could not check in or stay - nothing False advertisement

- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Julie-anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (5/5): compared to other motels/hotels which charged $120. No Attention to detail. - Breakfast was sachets of cereal and milk but no spoons Toaster provided but no toast, no knives and no plates. No bench space to prepare cereal, did so on table. No juice No drinking water in the urn, it was empty. Used the hand basin in toilet to fill kettle only one bath towel and face washer for a booking for 2 people. No bathmat Only one pillow each. No tv in room but one in the lounge Other guests soap cubes and used razor in the shower recess
- Baker (6/5): Pleasant - The country vibes of the hotel very nice place The key played up during my stay
- Sheng-hsiang (10/5): Exceptional - Although the price listed on Booking.com was incorrect, the owner didn’t ask us to pay more. We really appreciate it! The room was very spacious.
- Neil (4/5): Won't be back. - Nothing. Arrived to an unmade bed that had been slept in. Given new double room with only one towel. Rooms with no A/C meant opening balcony door but truck noise overbearing and poor security on balcony screen doors.
- Nick (8/5): i have stayed numerous times .and will continue to stay there on work trips if possible - clean comfy rooms , great meals and clean bathrooms wifi needs to be better for work
- Tyler247 (3/5): Good pub average room - Lounge and room was okay pubs nice and tidy the plumbing in the rooms with the sink was horrible anyone else using there's set it off and you could hear the feedback through the plumbing sounding like our tap was running.
- Kaine (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (5/5): Passable -
- Megan (10/5): Great Place to stay. - Great Location, clean and tidy.
Comfortable beds and easy access.
We loved using the lounge area, breakfast was also provided.

- Nick (8/5): great value for money , great meals and beer . good bed and clean bothroom - didnt use the breakfast but it was readily available. great meals down stairs . needed air conditioning in rooms
- Graham (10/5): Comfortable, affordable and great service from staff - I did not have breakfast
- John (7/5): A very good country hotel - It’s a beautiful country pub with interesting common rooms such as a lounge on the second floor. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive and helpful

- Toni (9/5): I would stay again - Location
Separate lounge room

Nice pub environment
Basic breakfast good
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - Everything everyone was nice All the stuff was really nice
- Sarah (9/5): Perfect for what I wanted. - Beautiful historic building. I was very comfortable. Wifi password did not work at all after multiple attempts of trying to login.
- Sagar (1/5): Frustrating - I would say just the location is good I went there after check in . I try to connect the wifi which wasn’t working so I contacted the receptionist . I explained that given password is not working so she told me that wifi is doesn’t work so I told that that you should remove this from the website so people you need to work in there device they make sure they book the right place .
Too expensive with less facilities.
- Neil (8/5): Good value - Location convienience
- Wal (8/5): Lovely little town to visit with so much Light Horse history. Food was fantastic and the lady enter - Lovely little town to visit with so much Light Horse history. Food was fantastic and the lady entertaining on the night was fabulous.
- Leanne (8/5): Enjoyable stay. -
- Mark (5/5): Excellent value for money but come prepared. - Very clean and comfortable. Staff close to perfect. Compressor for hotel kitchen fridge in the main outdoor area was loud even with the window closed which also meant stuffy room. Music started at 9pm Saturday. Earplugs (for the Temora airshow) fixed this so be warned.
- Steve (9/5): Superb - Recently renovated pub and meals were great value and a great menu
- Anthony (8/5): I would stay there again if everything else was booked out again. - Breakfast was good. It was so good on the Saturday night that everything was quiet by about 10pm so that I could get a decent nights sleep. The staff were not rude to me as a mixed race person which was good for once. The lid on the bin in the lounge room was broken. You had to physically lift the lid by hand to put your rubbish into it instead of just pressing the foot pedal. And at $120 per night, for what it was I thought it was a bit expensive; $80 may have been more on the money.
- Peter (1/5): An interesting memory - That the hotel was not 15km out of town Asked for a quiet room and got the room above the bar and band on a footy night. Noise Noise Noise. People eventually stomping to their rooms trying to find their rooms and making even more noise and passage conversations. Then when everything is quiet some noisy inoxicated ? woman banging on our door looking for Ed. And all for the highest tarrif in town. Can't comment on WiFi as it was not working.
- Simone (1/5): Dismissive and condescending staff - Didn’t get to experience the property- it did look very clean The staff member literally laughed at me when I inquired about internet. Whilst she appeared very adept at using her own device, she claimed no knowledge of how to rectify a non-working internet password. She also remarked that it was not her problem. As I needed to work and it was apparent the young lady was not interested in even hearing my request - I checked out
- Lex (8/5): Happy stop for our group - Great location for our group of motorcyclists - friendly helpful staff, and off-street parking for our bikes.
Good meals, and basic breakfast facility in lounge All good, but limited facilities if the place was crowded
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - very friendly staff. food service fast and good value.
- Marina (8/5): Lovely country pub, lots of charm. Very clean and comfortable. - So clean, so impressed. Lots of areas to sit and relax. Only fault I can come up with was music so loud after 10pm
- Sue (8/5): Very good -
- Hogan (8/5): Very good - Didn't have breakfast. The coffee quality was poor
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allan (9/5): Great stay , special thanks to Pam. - Fantastic room great architecture
- Kim (8/5): Great place for a short stop over - Comfy lounge area with heating, tv, fridge, microwave, and tea, coffee,
cereal provided. Clean and tidy room and good shared showers. Good food I. Dining area Bit noisy but finished up at reasonable time for a Friday/Sat nights. Please sort out the signal on Tele so all stations can be viewed.
- Pinn (7/5): Good - No ensuite
- Martin (8/5): Great bar relaxing - Handy and amazing history Had all needed
- Bobbie (10/5): A really beautiful country pub with really friendly staff - Really friendly staff, beautifully renovated and great location Nothing
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- O'dell (8/5): Very good -
- Leslie (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (5/5): Scary. - Not much really. The place is like a ghost town. Hard to reccomend. Just about everything.
- Wal (10/5): Rooms were well kept, clean and comfortable. Staff were fantastic and food was fabulous. - Staff were friendly and helpful, food was fantastic. I had an absolutely beautiful steak, cooked to perfection. Shared bathrooms were well maintained and clean and the locals were sociable. There was a young lady singing on the night which turned out to be karaoke as well.
Beer was cold and good prices.
Great photos and paintings of the lighthorse in action during WWI adorned the walls. Nothing to improve on. Ticked all my boxes.
- Monica (5/5): We loved the hotel, the room and bed was very clean, loved the clean bathroom and toilets. Staff we - Breakfast was not included. No air conditioning, very thick and hot doona in the bed. The room was too warm and the fan did not cool the room, we opened the windows but no breeze came in for both nights. We were far too hot and the bed felt hot after a little while. We were glad to get home after two hot nights. Rooms upstairs need to be air conditioned.
- Penelope (5/5): Passable - Spacious rooms and great bathrooms No air con or fans. Very noisy
- Dmitri (4/5): Disappointing - The hotel staff was helpful. The bathroom was very clean. The room was rather strangely furnished. No chairs, an old cloth hanger stand without hangers, and the location of the bed was such that one of the bedside tables wasn't reachable. All that created an impression of a place being neglected.
- Othelia (3/5): Poor - Location was central to town. Place was very dirty including towels from previous guests still in the bathroom. No cups were available, neither were bowls to none of the included items for “breakfast” could be used. Said there was free Wifi yet it didn’t have any range in the room. I understand that it was New Year’s Day, however it would have been better to not accept the booking so that we could have found alternative accommodation.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Richard (10/5): Great vibe, great food, great stay over , lovely clean rooms great staff - A great very old traditional Australian pub hotel, the food was great and the young ladies in the kitchen were working under very hard pressure The chief needs to wash his mouth out with soap as his loud bad language was disappointing, but didn’t change our thoughts on our stay
- Bruce (8/5): Good value traditional pub accommodation. - The hotel rooms are clean and basic and we were very comfortable there. The staff were responsive and helpful. The shared bathroom facilities have been updated and function very well. On street car parking at the front door was appreciated. My only quibble is the lack of bedside power points but I had expected that and had alternatives arranged.
- Nic (2/5): Very poor - i payed online money left my bank account, i then arrived to check in and was told card declined and was made to pay twice.
- Stewart (6/5): Overnight stay - The accommodation is basic, but the bed was very comfortable, with good linen.... so that's what counts. The shared bathroom is fine and are relatively new so quite serviceable (although one of them could probably do with a better clean.) We were there for a quick overnight stay, so the White Horse served our purpose. The bar was open, so we were able to buy a meal without leaving the hotel. There is also a sitting room on the first floor for tea / coffee. This accommodation is not the place you would use for a lengthy stay, but it is more than adequate for a quick overnighter. It is located on the main road so can be noisy with the trucks travelling through town, but we still had a good night's sleep. There is nice balcony on the first floor (even though it overlooks the main road) but there are no chairs on it, which is a shame.
- Alison (10/5): Clean tidy old worldly and comfy - Friendly and great room size and location N/a
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Stefeanie (10/5): Great, really nice people -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (9/5): Superb -
- Ross (6/5): Pleasant -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Good - Hospitality of the staff
- Laura (8/5): Great stay on top of pub in beautiful building in centre of town - Convenient location to races in beautiful old building Shared bathrooms, but they were very clean and had 4 of them
- Padraic (10/5): Really Aussie Charm. - A true Gem!
Excellent staff great food. A beautiful old Aussie Hotel with a modern makeover.
We will be back Nothing negative to say about this property.
- Maria (6/5): Pleasant - Room quite spacious. Very comfortable bed and plenty of towels and blankets. Shared bathrooms are big and modern. Very hard to find the right person to have check in done. My bedroom door had a glass on the wall and the light of the hallway was on the entire night! If you’re sleeping in here bring an eye mask.
- Renee (1/5): Better communication is needed. - The Hotel was closed. I rang the contact number on the building & the mobile number on my booking. They contacted my later that night, however I found alternative accommodation. Not happy. N/A
- Katie (2/5): Very poor - ** We were given the key to the room, but when we arrive, (after 7pm) the room was dirty from the previous guests. Unmade beds, rubbish etc. We were offered to sit for dinner whilst they got it ready. Then there were no spare tables for dinner, so we went elsewhere for dinner and when we returned after 9pm the room was still not ready. I had my teenage daughter with me who had a horse competition the next day so we were keen to get settled and to sleep. This was very poor form for our room not to be clean and ready for our arrival when we had booked in.
** No bathrooms in the rooms.
