• Stephan (10/5): - Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Zimmer sind sauber und ansprechend eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig mit feinen regionalen Produkten. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem können wir die Villa Sempreverde sehr empfehlen, ein wunderbarer Ort um sich zu erholen.

• Friedrich (9/5): Schönes Haus mit Garten 200 m über Locarno - Schönes helles Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick. Schöner Garten mit Tischen und Sitzgelegenheiten. Leckeres Frühstück. Liegt direkt an der Bushaltestelle und ist trotzdem ruhig. Der tolle Blick hat seinen Preis: das Haus ist 200 Höhenmeter über der Stadt gelegen und der Bus fährt die Serpentinen dort hoch abends nur einmal die Stunde (tagsüber häufiger und man kann den Bus auch in der Gegenrichtung nehmen was aber deutlich länger dauert).

• Guest (9/5): Peaceful accommodation with nice lake views and great hiking opportunities - We had a wonderful stay in Locarno! The accommodation is situated a little higher up, which makes it peaceful and provides beautiful views of the lake. It’s also a great base for hiking – we really enjoyed exploring the area. Traveling by train was easy, and there’s a bus that stops right in front of the property. A special highlight was the vegan breakfast: we had informed the host in advance, and she kindly prepared delicious vegan options just for us, which we really appreciated. Overall, a fantastic stay – we would happily return!
• Jenny (7/5): Basic, but value for money - Simple, basic, but clean and reasonable price. Easy to reach Locarno by bus. Easy walk to Orselina. Easy self check in and easy parking around the corner at extra cost. We were a bit disappointed with the view from our room. I booked it because it was high above Locarno and was looking forward to the ‘lake view’. It should have really said ‘partial lake view’. See photo. Breakfast set times 0830-930 and you share a table with other rooms, but it was ok.

• Lisa (10/5): Entspannen und geniessen in charmantem Haus mit überaus gastfreundlicher Bewirtung! - Liebevoll eingerichtete alte Villa mit sehr viel Charme - tolle Gastwirtin die ihre Sache mit Herzblut macht. Jeden Morgen gab es ein feines Zmorgen inkl. italienischem Kaffee! Das Zimmer war lichtdurchflutet, das Bad geräumig, das Bett bequem. Es hat uns an nichts gemangelt! Nichts!

• Guinand (10/5): - L'endroit est magnifique, perché au-dessus de Locarno. Nous avons reçu des informations très claires pour l'arrivée sur place. La chambre était très grande, calme et jolie. Le ventilateur mis à disposition a rendu les nuits caniculaires très agréables. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, avec des produits du coin (des figues du jardin !) Un bus s'arrête pile devant l'auberge et va jusqu'au centre. Tout était parfait pour un long weekend. Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir !

• Gustavo (8/5): It was a nice place, although a bit far away from the city - Property was very clean, big, comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, but not so practical. The shower wasn’t tight enough and they made that the bathroom was always flooded. There was also a very small soap to shower, no shower gel or for taking a bath. The location is quite far from the city center and quite high on a hill. You need a bus or a car. No way to walk.

She was very rude and knocked very loud at the door at 10.30 and when we opened the door at 10.40 she said I will charge you extra! i don’t understand how 12 Mins make such a big impact on her since check in time is 3 pm!!

• Gabriel (9/5): Would come back anytime when staying in Locarno. - This is a lovely B&B. The view is very nice, the gardens are comfy to sit in, and our room and bathroom were very spacious. We particularly enjoyed the characterful interior design! The self check-in was smooth. Nothing. Just be aware that you need to pay in cash.

• Tiberiu (9/5): We would have liked to stay here longer - The guesthouse is located on the hill, where you go up by car on a winding road. Instead, it was close to the Madonna del Sasso church, 15 minutes on foot. The whole house is artistically decorated, with a calm and pleasant interior. The room was bright, clean, with a comfortable sofa, and from the balcony a beautiful view of Locarno and Lake Maggiore. We really liked the garden behind the house. In the evening, among the vines and flowers, at the large stone table with benches, the kind host served us a very good focaccia and we could drink a glass of beer. We would have liked to stay more days in Locarno! Good, traditional breakfast with grapes from the garden and regional products, delicious jams, caramelized almonds and good coffee. Parking is 100 m away and costs CHF 10 per stay. Breakfast is served in a rather small room, all the guests from 3 rooms had to sit at the same table.

• Patricia (9/5): Great value for an excellent service and experience. Wonderful views! - FIRST OFF—THE VIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place has the best views! The hostess was very accommodating, always available, and her B&B was so charming. She also has a dog and the dog was so sweet and precious and well behaved. I got the room with the private bathroom and it was worth more to me so I wouldn’t have to share a bathroom with others. The room was beautiful and had lots of natural light. The bed was perfectly sized and very comfortable. I loved the toiletries included and breakfast was very traditional to the area. The house is beautiful decorated and the rooms offer nice toiletries and bits to make you more comfortable (table fan, different thickness of blankets, throw pillows). There is also a beautiful monastery that is within a 5-10 minute walk from the B&B. It’s definitely worth checking out! There is also the Cardada gondola very close by this B&B! There were a lot of bugs and spiders in my room. It’s not the fault of the owner since she can’t control the bugs— but my windows were left open upon arrival, and I got bit by some mosquitoes in my room and had to get rid of a couple of spiders. Again, not the owner’s fault—but I wish the shared bathroom wasn’t directly next to my room. I could hear people shoving the bathroom door shut, the faucets turning, and could also hear my next door neighbors talking loudly into the night. It wasn’t a problem with me, I didn’t lose sleep over it, but it’s worth noting if you’re a light sleeper. The guests were very nice ladies and very cordial at breakfast, so nothing against them either. I guess it’s just common to hear more in wooden houses? The last thing is that if you don’t have a car with you, getting into the city can be tricky. We took the funicular up and down to get into Locarno, but if you’re heading further in either direction, you’ll need a taxi or the bus. You can walk but it’s very steep and tiring.
