- Lot (10/5): Een geweldig verblijf. - Wat mij het meest beviel was, de gastvrijheid van de eigenaar en het personeel. Je voelt je direct welkom vanaf het moment dat je aankomt, het uitzicht op de velden is echt geweldig. Het ontbijt kan genuttigd worden in de tuin met uitzicht op het zwembad in alle rust wat de omgeving te bieden heeft. In de straat zijn een aantal winkels/supermarkt waaronder een groente en fruitwinkel. De eigenaar staat ten alle tijden voor je klaar om ervoor te zorgen dat je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk is. Ik kom zeker weten met mijn volgend reis naar Luxor, hier weer verblijven.

We were taken to a dangerous, filthy hostel, no lift, We refused to stay there and the owner tried to send the taxi away leaving us stranded in the dark . Horrible man . A very frightening experience as we were two women alone. The whole experience was scary and unnerving especially as he kept trying to send the taxi away leaving us stranded in the dark.

- Nicole (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! RUN! - Just escaped after 1 out of my 3 booked nights! Just anywhere, but not to stay here! Especially knowing that there are only 2-3 guests in that scamhole, and all the time this Medhet is there - not safe! A scammer, a pushy liar, a rude greedy piece of a human! It was my worst experience ever! The address this scammer Medhet put in the ad is Ramla Street, when upon my arrival this piece of a scammer pointed as Luxor View Hostel which is 1h walk from the original address! Not possible to get a car without getting scammed! Now imagine you are a solo woman travelling in Luxor, where you cannot walk a second without getting harassed! Not that the address was different the room (and I booked apartment, right?) was a complete sh*t, dirty, looking like a prison cell, dusty - I had to wipe the dust myself. This chronic scammer pushed me to take the overpriced trip around the sightseeings for 15 euros while it would not cost me more than 300EGP, had I found uber. When I could not sleep eventually in the room because of some weird sounds and vibrations on the level under this scamhole (after another sleepless night bcs I had a 12h bus from Cairo to Luxor), this I had to call to Medhet to tell that I cannot sleep - something is very loud. This piece of a human was rude to me, told me not to call him at night, because he is sleeping, and that I can just move out ! At 02:30 am! Then he said ok I can move to another room! Funny but I realised that it was another address which he put me in only after this terrible treatment on phone - I just took a detailed look on what the heck I booked! In the morning when I ordered a car, the cleaner tried to keep me hostage - I had to shout at him to open the door ! - you know that the door is not opening without special key right? From this shock, from being scammed, from this terrible scamhole — I didn’t feel myself save there! This property should be taken down and this Medhet investigated! Not only me were put at another address - other guests too! Deeply traumatising experience for anyone travelling, especially when you are a solo woman, in Egypt, and in this scamhole like Luxor!
- Michelle (8/5): Great hosts - Medhet the host was accommodating and very friendly. Home made dinner was nice. Breakfast was good. The Medhet’s son Abdo, was my driver for a day. The host had organised a hot air ballon trip for me (which I didn’t realise they did that), it was an exceptional experience. Medhet also organised for Abdo to drive me to Aswan which made life very easy for me. Thank you. There was no toilet paper in the toilet. Also asked for an extra blanket 3 times but never eventuated. It would be better if a spare blanket was in the cupboard. It would be good if there was a floor mat on the floor in the bath room, as it is an open shower which is great, but water goes all over the floor making it slippery and stays wet all night so going to the toilet is a bit dangerous. The address is wrong for even the local drivers as it is not where it said it was when I booked, which I found disappointing.

- Marian-1989 (10/5): calm and very clean place for night, close to the valleys, family take good care of you - As a family of 3 we stayed for 4 nights in Luxor. The rooms are all fresh renovated and new, nice balcony and bathroom (with strong shower and enough hot water), you can use washing mashine for free, roof top for a nice view and the family take good care of you. As well there is a big clean swimming pool. If something is missing just ask, the owner gave us extra blankets, table and chairs. You can have a good egyptian breakfast, the owner can also manage transport or tours for very good price (half price compared to agencies around the city!). The location was not exactly from booking, but the owner can give all details via whatsapp or message in booking. You can rent a bike or easily take a tuktuk. The area is calm, perfect for a rest in night, banana trees around, as well we felt safe walking home in the night. -
- Inge (3/5): I don’t recommend this place. - The owner is nice, he picked us up from the bus station to the hotel. Unfortunately, we did not stay at the hotel. It did not meet our expectations and was not located as close to the pier as advertised. It was far from everything and not convenient. The new place he provided is brand new and has just been renovated because the smell was so bad and we know it’s harmful to the body. I know the owner wants to provide the best to us, but sorry, the new building is still not ready for guests. The owner knocked the main door and we can’t go out unless we call him to open the door. That’s something that not acceptable.

- Ladxidua (9/5): Mountain view pool hotel in quiet Luxor - The space was very nice, the room was big and the hotel has swimming pool. The attention of the host was excellent, very kind, he looked after us all the time. He offered transfers from and to the bus station. He recommended tours at very good price as a full day around the temples with guide. The breakfast was great made with fresh ingredients. The location was not the one shown on booking.com, it was another one further away and nothing was really in a walkable distance. We weren't warned before the arrival, but the owner explained us there was a problem with the original place and he solved it offering to drive us to where we needed.

- Nora (6/5): Despite the beautiful setting, the lack of personal space due to the host’s persistent involvement left us feeling a bit - My recent stay at the apartment by the River Nile was quite a mixed experience. On the positive side, the place itself was perfect – boasting an authentic charm that added to the overall ambiance. The view, especially overlooking the beautiful River Nile, was a highlight. However, the host’s eagerness to be helpful became a bit overwhelming. While their intentions were good, the constant organization of activities without consulting us felt intrusive. It seemed that they took it upon themselves to plan every aspect of our stay, and if we expressed any desire to handle things ourselves, they appeared offended.
- Gergely (10/5): Best in Luxor - The very best place in Luxor. The owner (Medhet) is very nice and super flexible, he arranged everything we asked for. The apartment is located on the west bank, very close to the Nile, the ferry and boat station are just a short walk away. Our room was spacious, clean and had a great view onto an oxbow lake. The best stay during our entire trip in Egypt!

If you are planning to join tours, then this place would be nice because they offered me very nice tours. However, after I rejected all his offers because I wanted to see around by my own, he got mad and I felt hostility from him. I said to him that I’m going to rent a bike at the specific shop. Then he said he knew that shop too and he could arrange a bike for me from that shop. Seriously? Why would I rent a bike from him when I know how to rent a bike directly from a bike shop. Also, he sent me a several tour offers on messages, but never mentioned about price. He always try to speak with me about price and avoid to give me time to think.
- Elena (10/5): One of the best trips ever. Bunch of joy! - If you want to stay in Luxor, I recommend you to stay on the West Bank. Here, you can experience the authentic atmosphere of the ancient city and engage in local way with a smell of the Nile and the Pharaoh's Whispering. The West Bank is less crowded and much safer. We are two girls stayed in this lovely local accommodation that was completely safe. The landlord took care of us, picking us up from the ferry and always helping us with directions and finding the good prices for many things. We felt at home here, and this authentic experience can only be found in Luxor, Egypt at Luxor Nile View Flats. Thank you all so much we will be BACK! It’s obvious that in Egypt you face with bazar habits, be ready that when you go out of the territory people will be happily insist to offer you things.

- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional - This is a very nice, clean, freshly renovated hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and there was everything we needed in it. We also loved the big balcony with beautiful view. Mostly, we are grateful to our Host, who amazingly helped us with everything. There was nothing impossible for him, he helped us with all our tours and attractions of Luxor, advised us the best places to eat and things to do, he accompanied us all the time which always made us feel safe and relaxed. Moreover the location of this hotel is very convenient, it's in the middle of all main tourist attractions. We heartly recommend this hotel and most of all its amazing owner! There is nothing that we didn't like, everything was great and we were extremely lucky to find this place.
- Kei (4/5): Good price, but you need to know the quality gets lower accordingly. - The owner was quick in response and helped me carry my baggage from the ferry dock to the hotel. Though I was not the best place to stay, it could be fair considering very reasonable price and the location was close enough from the dock. The facility is bare minimum and there's no hairdryer, nor mirrors. The owner is not a bad guy, but he tried to charge me 300EG for a full-day rental bike and got upset once I gently turned it down as it was too expensive. (It ended up 150EG at a local rental shop.) There was also a water leak from AC and overall the room was not clean enough for me even for the reasonable price.
