Nathan sent us very detailed instructions for check in and how to get into the carpark, and organised extra futon beds for our group. n/a

• Marylyn (6/5): Overpriced for what we got. - The location was excellent with great views over Southbank. The owner provided very clear instructions for collecting keys, parking etc. The apartment building was quiet. Our group appreciated the on-site pool and gym. The apartment was clean. The apartment description lists two futon 'beds' as additional beds, as well as an inflatable bed. They are not beds but are thin mattresses to go on the floor. This information was converyed by the owner after the booking had been made and paid for. These did not make for comfortable sleeping for those of our party who had to use them. As some previous reviews have noted, the pillows and towels are very poor quality. (K Mart and well past their 'use-by' date!) The bed in the main bedroom had lumpy with a sagging mattress on it. There were five dining chairs only (in addition to some stools). Our party was six so this was not convenient. The furniture and fittings look 'tired'. One blind in the living room was torn and would not go up/down.

• Carolyn (6/5): Apartment has a good location but disappointing standard of comfort for the price. - A good location, a short walk to restaurants and the arts precinct, trams are close by, as is Flinders St station. The owner allowed us to store luggage for a few hours after checkout. The casino is on the opposite side of the road if you like to gamble. The apartment was expensive, clean but very spartan and no rugs or comfortable cushions. Furniture was chipped, the curtains had holes, the bed and bath linen were very poor quality. There is no reception staff.

• Kate (5/5): Good sized apartment in central location but cheap, tatty furnishings and decor in need of updating. - The location was great. It was a big apartment, centrally located opposite the Crown Towers in Southbank. The kitchen was well equipped. The host communicated well and was responsive. The towels were small, thin, threadbare and tatty. The bedding was old and synthetic. The beds were not comfortable especially the sofa bed. The whole apartment needs to be repainted and the windows and balcony cleaned. The furniture is all cheap and flimsy. The TV was very small. Given the cost which was significant, we would expect a more luxurious and better standard of decor, furnishings and bedding and more comfortable beds. Could be much better with some minimal investment which would improve the standard and quality. In current state it is overpriced.
