Guest Reviews
- Catherine (9/5): Simply stunning - The family are all so friendly and helpful.
The setting is absolutely stunning.
Loved the three big dogs, watching the birds and listening to the toads calling.
Beautiful place 😍
I would definitely go back.
Food is great too 😋 I was a little confused when we got there as this app said that the cabin came with a kitchenette, so no fridge to keep our food in.
Also, just be careful on the way down to the place as the track can be a little tricky to drive on sometimes. Other than that, it's all worth it to wake up in the morning to a setting like that.
- Nott (10/5): Exceptional - Marco and his family have a spectacular place , well taken care of and away from the crowds. If you want to see birds this is your place!
Food was also excellent and cabins were nice!
Highly recommended!
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Maxime (9/5): Superb - Loved the location! At the time we were there we had the place all to ourselves which was magical!
We could take a rowing boat around the lake, saw a great sunset from the tree swing, had a nice dinner, saw squirrel monkeys during breakfast. It was really amazing! We couldn't use the pool the day we were there. I think they were cleaning it, so just bad timing I suppose.
- Happytraveler (9/5): Enchanting rewilded water bird sanctuary with rustic cabin, great food & hosts! - Very friendly hosts. Very clean lodging and dining. Dining right on the lake next to giant lilly pads with NO mosquitoes! Marco says the fish in the ponds eat all the mosquito larvae. We strung up a mosquito net anyway to be safe but I never heard any so I believe he was right that there were none. His father rewilded a cow pasture and now it has become classical jungle again with tall trees after 30 years. There is a continuous fill infinity pool, canoes, swings, and many other features. One hears bird call and bellowing toads. Magical! We could not master the cabin key. It was not possible to lock it so we locked valuables in the car. Dont think anyone would have tried to steal anything. The cabin had big cracks that mosquitos would have used had there been any and had we turned lights on. We didn't turn the lights on after dark just in case.
- Liza (10/5): A great experience for adventurous travellers. - Breakfast was delicious, and dinner was so nice as well. We loved the lake and the Victoria Amazonia. (Giant water Lily). They have some great spots for kids to play and a great natural pool. Chlorine free. The staff are very helpful, friendly and informative. They have a couple of boats and kayaks to use on the lake and we saw a Chocuaco, the famous bird.
