Althans geen gordijnen die een functie hadden zoals licht tegen houden waardoor je het gevoel had bekeken te worden en al vroeg wakker vanwege de zon. Verder ontbraken er nachtlampjes en was er alleen een groot fel licht waar je eerst je bed uit moest om het uit te doen.

- J0AM (2/5): A misstep - N/A Considering everything, this hotel was a misstep. There is no second chance for a first impression. When we arrived, the receptionist charged us according to the booking, but we were given a smaller room than reserved - bit dirty and damp. They promised to clean it, which they eventually did, but only the next day and after an unpleasant escalation. We were told that because it is low season, the hotel decided to renovate - repainting and refurbishing the kitchenette. Renovation is fine, of course, but in a civilized world I would expect to be informed in advance and given the choice to stay elsewhere. Puerto Villamil has plenty of other options. Instead, we were left without any notice. Another story was the internet - it was restored only the next evening. The kitchenette was also unlocked for us only the second day, so we could at least make some tea. Overall, we felt like staying on a construction site. Workers started at 7 a.m., though to be fair, by then I was already awake because the hotel is right next to the main road used by "all" taxis going to the 6 a.m. ferry. Peace and quiet were missing even at night. Some water booster pump (probably for the whole block) was switching on twice every minute, day and night. Without earplugs I would not have survived. In short - a disappointment and definitely a misstep.

- Sara (5/5): The room was poorly maintained, unclean, and lacked basic amenities and working equipment - The location is close to town and beach I was very disappointed with the condition of the room. It was not clean — the shower still had hair from a previous guest, which clearly shows it hadn’t been properly cleaned. There was no toilet paper, the main light in the room wasn’t working, and there was no hot water for showers for my full stay . The room also had no internet connection, despite being advertised. On top of that, some of the equipment and facilities were either broken, missing, or not functioning as expected, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was a very poor experience and definitely not worth the price.

- Benny (5/5): bathroom in bad conditions - the bathroom was in bad conditions, and a bothering rhytmic thumping somewhere close didn t allow us to sleep well. After speaking to the owner we acknowledged that the room was assigned to us by mistake, hey offered us to change room for the second night but it was a two-day stay, it wasn't worth. We understand that these things can happen but I at least expected some discount on the two nights rate which was not offered.

- Pauline (9/5): This hostel is good value for the price. The neighborhood is quiet. Walk 1/4 miles for beach front restaurants and b - The property is located within walking distance from the ferry pier or a quick taxi ride. The area is quiet at night. My room was spotlessly clean and had good air conditioning. My room had a small balcony but no chairs on the balcony or in the room for sitting. The rains were heavy while I was there so most likely would not have used the balcony anyway, but it was a nice touch when I did open the door to it. Check out is @ 9:30 but they will store your bags(in an unsecured closet) and they have an outdoor shower and changing area if needed after checkout. I did not use the kitchen as planned. It was confusing as to whether it was for the guest to use as the hostel also provided meals at an extra cost. I also needed to modify my stay, and it was well over 30 hrs before they got back to me on if that was OKed. I also called the hostel number 4 times with no answer or way to leave a message.

- Jess (7/5): Good - Really friendly and helpful people running this place. Great balcony and proximity to the beach. The room is clean, and the Aircon works great. All around I did like this place, but there were some problems that I must be honest about. The main one being that it's LOUD. A bar/restaurant across the.street blasts music as early as 7:30 am and as late as 11 pm, you can absolutely everything your neighbors are doing, and multiple times the staff went around banging on the doors at 8 am, waking people up to inquire about check out. Most nights, there was no running water after 10 pm.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly and welcoming, a very easy and relaxed stay. Our initial perception was that the hostal was a bit rundown and in need of some love and investment but the efforts of the staff in regular and thorough cleaning, changing towels , making the beds etc.made this seem petty. Cant pay by credit card .cash only.

I only used the fridge, but there was a communal kitchen. Staff were very helpful. Sound proofing could be better but I had quite quiet neighbours.

The place features a communal kitchen, plenty of space to hang your wet beach towels and rapid laundry service. I can't think of anything negative. Isabela and this lodging plus Tania for dinner were my favourite spots on Galapagos.

- Buyu (9/5): Great value for the location - Excellent value in a very convenient location (2min to the beach). Kitchen is slightly small but adequate. Beds and room are huge. It's the standard across all Galapagos, but the checkout time is early (930am) with no flexibility to check out late. This makes leaving island on the after itinerary slightly cumbersome.

The shower was warm and the staff were very kind and helpful. There was construction on the roof that started early every morning, but it didn't bother us much since we were getting up early for activities anyway. Great price for a comfortable stay!

- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location on the main street meaning you could walk to/from the pier and Concha de Perla very easily and have a pit stop if needed. The family is so hospitable and lovely, offering bananas. There's free drinking water which is great, and you can use the family kitchen to store and prepare food. There's a little hammock area where you can chill. The room was big, bright, spotless and cleaned daily. Hot water with amazing pressure which was incredible after months without! Such a good little spot! The internet was a bit patchy but I didn't really mind disconnecting a bit for five days

Had room from the street side and because the front wall is all door and window it is noisy in the evening and early morning, earplugs necessary to get a good sleep

Exceptional price/quality ratio, Starlink internet (on islands worth gold), room with balcony was beautiful and spacious, comfy bed, friendly staff, good and quiet location (applies to 90% of hotel though in this village), hot water, hammocks Doorknob on my door needs to be fixed as it was a bit broken. Some areas need a bit of maintenance

Bed was comfy and showers were hot. The staff was top notch! They helped organize some tours, did our laundry (for a small fee), and were super nice and helpful. I asked a taxi driver what restaurants he recommended, and he told me to inquire about the wild pork with the grandmother that worked in the back (there is not a restaurant, just where she lives). It was delicious. Great place with great people.

- Fern (9/5): Superb - Lovely English speaking staff, kind , friendly and helpful Great location with pleasant outdoor area Great to have a kitchen but really needs a good clean
- Joachim (9/5): Superb - Super friendly staff, directly next to the (small) center, hammocks to relax, and filtered water available. The room is big enough and clean.

- Sheila (10/5): I liked my stay here and ended up staying for 2 more nights. Isabella is a lovely place overall. - The location is very near the center. The wifi doesnt work in the room.
