Guest Reviews
- susancook1 (10/5): Central apartment across from the Kitchener Market - We loved how friendly and accommodating the hosts were. We felt very welcomed. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Nicole (10/5): - Loved the vintage vibes in the apartment, perfect location (my favourite breakfast restaurant -the yeti and across from Kitchener market)
- cheryl (9/5): The Big apartment by the farmer’s market is an excellent choice to explore downtown Kitchener. - Breakfast downstairs was stellar and super convenient. Flexible Check in was offered which was convenient for our needs. We could not say enough about the decor and having a stereo with albums and the artwork to enjoy. Very cozy and comfortable stay. The lock box information emailed on the same day was different than the code originally sent. So there was some confusion initially but it worked out in the end.
- susan (10/5): - It was right across from the Kitchener market.
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Diann (7/5): Close to Amenities. - It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was very clean. Fresh bar soap would have been nice. It was difficult to find parking because of Market day.
There are a lot of stairs both inside the unit and outside.
Not recommended for tall people as there are many sloped walls.
- Aura (8/5): Neat spot, clean and roomy, only issue is music from cafe downstairs. - The space was clean and very roomy. Bed was comfortable. Funky decorations which we enjoyed. Was in a convenient location for us, close to downtown. The cafe downstairs plays music all day, in the kitchen area it is very loud as this is above their kitchen. In the living area you can hear it too. As the bedroom is upstairs you don’t hear it that much. The cafe normally opens at 9 so music starts at 8 and goes till about 4, so if you are out and about all day it wouldn’t be an issue, but we were visiting family and took a larger place to have them over in the afternoon so it wasn’t great. On Saturdays the cafe opens at 7 so the music may start at 6, we did not stay over a Saturday. Also just a note, it is up a flight of outside stairs and then about 10 stairs once inside and another flight up to the bedroom.
- Andrewspitfire (10/5): Ace. - Love it. Hang out on the terrace. It's ace. Nothing to dislike.
- Márk (7/5): Super good aapertment - The atmosphire is really cool, also the location is good. Everything can be super good. Two bathroom, big sizes appartment, but the rooms were cold and the bedsheet is not enough for keep us warm at night. Me had a cold because it, and my mum could not sleep of the cold. We loved everything, but the healh is the firs, not than the designe.
- Deby (8/5): Retro apartment with great vibe. - Big, funky and well equipped. Old, but functional and fun. Bed was really comfy and huge. We had breakfast downstairs and it was fantastic! Loud music from the covered parking across the street until 11 pm midweek. Couldn’t lock the patio doors which were on the second floor, so weren’t super bothered, but not as secure as we would have liked to be.
- Jaime (8/5): - Big spacious, comfy bed. Good location for restaurants. A bit loud in morning, cafe below,
- Hunter Borutski (9/5): Enjoyed the stay. I will be back. - Very clean and cozy. Reminds me of my many apartments over the years. I love the retro bathrooms. The best part is they allow pets. The huge balcony is great for an evening beer or a morning coffee. Also the big bed was very comfortable. This place is perfect for my needs and I plan to return.
- Joan (7/5): Unique and comfortable apartment in the heart of Kitchener - You can’t beat the location across from the Saturday farmers market! Parking would have been tricky if we were staying more than one weekend night.
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Beja (10/5): -
- Anthony (9/5): All was as expected - The location was central for all our needs
- Carol (10/5): Enjoyable stay in this clean, spacious, unique retro apartment: comfortable and fun! - We really enjoyed the unique decor of this spacious apartment. We loved the quirky pictures and accessories. The apartment was very clean and thoughtfully appointed with things a person might need. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was enjoyable. It is located directly above The Yeti Cafe which we really enjoyed both mornings. It is located in a great multicultural area of Kitchener with lots of wonderful restaurants and right across from the Farmers’ Market. There were so many things we enjoyed about our stay. Communication was great and we were so grateful to have found this gem of an accommodation. The only thing I could think to mention is that we could hear the music in the morning coming up from the café below. It wasn’t too much of a problem.
- Pavlina (3/5): Poor -
- Andrewspitfire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tad (10/5): Exceptional - Great host, nice retro apartment, great patio, and the place is big and cozy!
- Spencer (8/5): Very good - I wasn't offered breakfast.
- Isabella (8/5): Very good -
- Brenda (10/5): Beautifully decorated, very clean, great location and the bed was very comfortable - We did not stay for breakfast We were surprised that there was no tv
But everything else was very nice
- Lorine (10/5): Overall a great experience and would certainly return in the future - Great location, spacious and clean with a very comfy bed and lovely bed linens
- Snedronningen (10/5): Walk to everything yummy, even in a snow storm - We really enjoyed the finer touches. The place was full of cool details and charm. The owner was one of the most friendly people we have the pleasure to communicate with in our travels. The location is perfect and an easy walk to everything tasty in the region. Easy to find parking nearby. Didn't pay a dollar all weekend. Best of all? The food downstairs is off the charts. Great breakfast options and ambiance. Would stay again in a heartbeat. No complaints.
- Fitzpatrick (8/5): Overall great place for a night - Too noisy , definitely can use a white noise machine to drown out the noise
- Leah (9/5): Superb -
- Dan (10/5): Tons of character, great location - Beautiful styling, location, temperature, comfort and communication. Would stay here again Nothing! Just remember it’s an old building above a cafe in a downtown area. I recommend earplugs
- Danilova (10/5): Unique place right in Kitchener’s heart! - This apartment is great! It has such a unique interior design with so many details. Super clean, has everything you may need (towels, chargers, board games, shower gel and the hosts even left some frozen pizza for us!). It is located right in front of the Kitchener’s farmer market and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. There are also a few free parking lots nearby.
- Fangzhou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Decaria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vitali (8/5): Very good - It is, actually, Bed&breakfast place, practically, in the center of the city.
Clean and comfortable, with restaurant on the first floor.
Actually, guest has a 2 rooms of 3 stores house: living room on the 2nd floor and bedroom on the 3rd, plus balcony. And separate kitchen. Also, 2 washrooms
Kitchen has a stove, fridge, kettle, roaster, microwave and all cutlery. Kitchen pantry has salt/sugar, coffee and tea, which is nice touch..
This place is nice, but it is the best for younger couples, because guests need to climb outside staircase.
Parking is free and conveniently located across the street. So, you can see your car, when you need it. A lot of shopping and restaurants around. I will recommend this place for stay
