Guest Reviews
- Michael (8/5): -
- Jason (9/5): A spacious, characterful Hobart home full of charm, comfort, and thoughtful touches - The home exudes the charm of a bygone era, with high ceilings, spacious rooms, and authentic squeaking floorboards. The property was spotless, exceptionally well equipped, and felt like a real family home rather than a typical rental. The location is excellent — close to Salamanca, the waterfront, and Hobart’s inner city. Nothing significant.
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): Comfortable heritage home in convenient location near downtown - The home was spacious, comfortable and pretty. It was clean and had a lovely, well-equipped kitchen.

- Jacob (10/5): Simply lovely - Everything. Very well kit out. More like a home than temporary accomodation. Especially the kitchen. Nothing
- Alison (9/5): Beautiful house, great location, lovely hosts and amenities - The location was perfect- easy walk to Salamanca Markets, nearby to grocery store, restaurants and a pub The security lights shining into the front bedrooms was not ideal, the glass doors were beautiful but not very practical

- Julie (8/5): Very good - Very roomy, comfortable furniture, very good kitchen and bathroom. If you are a light sleeper there is a problem with traffic noise as main bedrooms face a busy street. I found it too noisy but my husband wasn't bothered by traffic noise at all. So it depends on your sensitivity.
I also found the house hard to heat adequately and a bit gloomy.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Large and roomy home that is very lovely. Walking distance to Salamanca Market.
- Barbara (10/5): Very well appointed and comfortable house that felt like a home. Convenient location, 15-20 minute walk through Battery - Very well appointed and comfortable Nothing
- Lily (9/5): Great stay - Great location, everything was only a short drive or walk away. There is a shop around the corner and a great Japanese restaurant.
The house had everything you could think of plus more. The outdoor space was also very nice.
The hosts were very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay. Would recommend reaching out to them directly for pricing as it would have been cheaper to book with them than through third party apps.

- Kwong (9/5): Superb - Full facilities Nil
- Jennie (5/5): Charming house, charming noise! - If the comments below in the what didn’t I like section, don’t bother you, this cottage is a lovely light filled house with a great kitchen. Good for a small group of friends….as long as you don’t get the back room!! Many reviews will tell you about the street noise which turns out, not such a bother, but no one has mentioned the massive noise that wakes you at 4:59am every morning if you are lucky enough to score the single bed in the back bedroom! Reminiscent of being back at the Airport, the hot water service kicks in with such ferocity you will be immediately woken with a start to which you will then need to rummage through your luggage to find your noise cancelling headphones for instant soothing. However as the water heater continues to heat for the next hour, sleeping with headphones on won’t be comfortable. It is lovely though to get up then and do yoga on the beautiful deck.
A warning also, about the false advertising on this site of the FINAL price….there is an extra couple of fees, a damage waiver fee of $35 and credit card fees to which you are directed to another company to sign up.
- Rohanita (9/5): Perfect - Very comfortable, and 5 mins from everything
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fe (10/5): Magic time in a perfect location - So lovely to spend time in such a classic Hobart home with so much attention to detail!! We loved every minute
- Brenda (10/5): We had a very carefree stay. - Well appointed and just perfect for our purpose Dishwasher not working properly
- Sarah (10/5): Suited us perfectly - Clean, spacious, very well stocked
- Lisa (10/5): Stunning property, easy walk to CBD, old world charm - The owners so so lovely. Teu sent me a message on day one to ask if everything was ok and they allowed us to have a late check out. Very kind and considerate
- Sarah (8/5): A fabulous location close to Hobart and amenities, and the perfect place for a few nights with good friends. - It is an excellent location. Walking distance to Hobart, over the road from a supermarket and bottle shop so you can buy groceries. Brilliant when you don’t have a car.
The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfy. Nice deep bath for a relaxing soak. Nice period features and plenty of room for 3 friends to relax in the lounge in front of the TV. One of the front bedrooms has glass doors leading to the dining room. It is privacy glass but It can feel a bit exposed if you are in bed or getting changed and someone is in the dining room. Also both front bedrooms have glass doors to the corridor which face each other so if you if you need it to be dark to sleep and the other room has a light on this is an issue. Some blinds on those doors and the doors to the dining room would be helpful to combat this.
It is located on quite a busy intersection so the front bedrooms can be a bit noisy with traffic - especially because of the manhole cover right outside goes ‘bedunk’ every time a cars wheels goes over it! Also there is a pub across the road so can be a bit noisy when it’s closing time on a Friday and Saturday night. Earplugs are a good idea if you are a light sleeper.
Two of the bedrooms don’t have dressing table mirrors - which when traveling as a group of 3 girls made it difficult to get ready in the mornings. Mirrors in all 3 bedrooms would be great.
- Heather (9/5): Fantastic Property - would definitely stay again! - The location was great. The house was clean and very well appointed with everything you could want and the beds were very comfortable. A great base for exploring the city and walking distance to much of it. We even had some rabbits and a family of quail visit the back yard. :) There wasn't much to dislike about the house. The second bedroom wasn't quite dark enough due to a sensor light that would come through a high casement window, but that's about it. A loose manhole cover in the road outside was a bit noisy, but that was being fixed the morning we left and not the fault of the property at all.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and homely cottage.
Great location. Close to everything.
Very well stocked kitchen.
Lovely home. Very pleasant stay.
Thank you.
- Radmore (9/5): Homely & comfortable - Amazing kitchen & equipment.
Lovely family room & backyard A bit noisy at night
- Happy (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay, 5 friends and heaps of room - Charing , clean and great location
- Aj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (9/5): Clean and comfortable house in a good location - Beautiful and comfortable house in a great(walkable) location. Good size rooms and a great living area. We also had lovely wildlife visitors in the backyard(birds and bunnies)! The host has clearly put a lot of time and attention into the property. Her attention to detail was great, but all the notes and do's and don't everywhere felt a little invasive, and at times a little less than welcoming.
- Paula (9/5): Superb - Location and facilities Windows in bedroom letting in too much light
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Fantastic little cottage in South Hobart only a kilometer from the waterfront and Salamanca. Highly recommended. - Nicely appointed little cottage close to Hobart waterfront. Easy access to and from the property for day trips. Nothing
- Wilkey (10/5): Great location - It’s location was so central, we had everything we needed at the house .. Coffee machine was a little hard to use
- Carly (10/5): One of the best places I’ve stayed. Perfect for families, great location. I can’t wait to go back! - Beautiful and well appointed accomodation. Great location. The most amazing house with everything you need. It felt like home.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Min (10/5): Beautiful location in the middle of Hobart CBD - Location of the property is exceptional, next to service station, shops and food, close to CBD as well as nearly everything in the city.
Parking was a concern for us before we arrived, but it turned out to be is no problem at all, plenty of street parkings available, making it very convenient.
Traffic noise was often mentioned in other reviews, so we were warned but it turned out to have a minimal effect on us.
The house is very spacious, the kitchen and bathroom have been renovated recently, and have been kept nice and neat! The host is generous, provided more than everything you need to live comfortably in the house.
We felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay. The only only thing that could have been better is if there was more than one bathroom. We traveled as a group of four and found it a bit less convenient. But it is not a big deal.
- Nigel (9/5): Great family space for holiday - centrally located and open living space traffic often quite noisy at night
- Steven (9/5): A very comfortable home which I intend to use again with the family. - Excellent location, close to town and easy to access with off street parking. The kitchen was an obvious chefs paradise with more appliances than I had time to use, topped off with a nice selection of cookbooks. The front bedrooms have high traffic noise, but the rest of the house is quiet.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, functional, clean and comfortable and great communication with our Host. Thank you.
- Lorraine (10/5): Great location, walking distance to Salamanca Place and Constitution Dock. Beautifully appointed and renovated older hom - Location, appointments, absolutely everything Nothing
- Bridget (9/5): Excellent stay. Had everything we needed and more. - Whilst the glass doors in the bedrooms are stunning, they are quite see-through so don't give much privacy. Perhaps a curtain to pull across might help?
- Cathie (8/5): A stunning home in great location - Beautiful house, comfortable beds, spacious and exceptionally well equipped. Excellent location Traffic noise (we were warned)
- Nikhil (10/5): good place located conveniently and well furnished - spacious and centrally located, living room fireplace was nice and warm heaters in rooms didn’t work
- Dylan (9/5): Superb -
