- RONALDO (10/5): - Este lugar é especial. A anfitriã Julia é a hospitalidade em pessoa. Sua atenção e delicadeza nos fizeram sentir totalmente acolhidos. O quarto estava impecável, limpo e cheiroso. À noite, o silêncio era absoluto. De manhã, o desjejum tinha pães, bolos e geleia feitos pela própria anfitriã. E os alfajores.. simplesmente os melhores que já comi na vida. Queria ter ficado mais tempo nesse paraíso.
- Deborah (9/5): Special accommodation wit wonderful hostess - This is a special place with original decor that is beautiful and tastefully placed. It was quiet with great views of valley rock walls. It's so different that it could be a film set. Our hostess was so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner here both nights because it was special. The sheets and bedding were very clean and I think they were either sprayed with a scent or washed with a cleaner with artificial smell . Unfortunately I'm allergic to room fresher and artificial scents and this causes headaches.

- Mark (10/5): Just stay, you won't regret it! - An old Adobe farmhouse that has been beautifully and meticulously restored by the very welcoming hosts, Julia and Jorge. We had such a lovely stay. Our room was large and comfortable, and we sat on the roof terrace to star (or storm) gaze. It was a real treat to stay somewhere where we felt so welcome. The wine was good too!!!!

- Michele (9/5): A unique experience inbetween the Andes - Sendero de las Cabras is a great lodging option in the vicinity of Purmamarca in Jujuy, Argentina. The property is about 7 Km away from Purmamarca, and nestled within a valley with great mountain views. The place is run by a friendly couple and they have taken care to keep the facilities and decor according to rustic local custom. Our bedroom was cozy with a very comfortable bed which, together with the quiet atmosphere of the place, ensured we got great sleep both nights we stayed here. Outdoor stairs lead to a balcony with a 360-degree view of the sky and mountains. Food and drinks are available onsite in the kitchen building of the complex. The food available is of local custom, including tamales, humitas, and milanesas. They also offer a variety of wines, including several local wines. Having this food and drinks available onsite is a great advantage because the restaurants in Purmamarca fill up with tourists and also close at odd times. The one thing I would suggest is adding additional towel hooks in the bathroom. Sendero de las Cabras is a wonderful retreat if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable and peaceful stay near Purmamarca. The hotel is actually 7km distant from the closest village, so you'll need a car to move around.

- françoise (10/5): Le meilleur hôtel de tout le Nord Ouest de l’Argentine ! - Julia la patronne fait tout elle même , pain brioché , gâteaux , confiture etc et si on le désire elle nous prépare un délicieux dîner avec des produits locaux . La maison est ancienne et décorée avec goût dans le style de la région ( murs en adobe , meubles en bois de cactus etc ) Et le must c’est la vue !!!! Il y a des montagnes tout autour !!!! Si vous allez à Pumamarca , surtout allez la bas !!!! Tout est parfait

- André (10/5): Um lugar perfeito e acolhedor para descansar e aproveitar a cidade - Ficamos em um grupo de 8 pessoas e nossa estadia foi maravilhosa, o lugar é perfeito para descansar se você está viajando até San Pedro de Atacama. Só temos a agradecer à anfitriã Julia, foi muito simpática e acolhedora, até mesmo nos preparou um jantar que estava delicioso. O café de manhã foi igualmente delicioso, tudo com sabor caseiro e nos sentimos em casa. Esperamos voltar logo! -

From the warm welcome from Julia and Jorge, great advice re routes and places to visit and delicious food. Not to mention the very unique experience of staying in this immaculately clean, comfortable, traditional Argentinian style property, decorated with antique artefacts and cactus furniture. It’s not publicised, but Julia cooked us a wonderful traditional meal one evening. We enjoyed local goats cheese and homemade bread, Tamales and the tastiest potatoes I have ever eaten. Due camere triple con bagno diverse entrambe molto accoglienti nonostante siamo capitati nel periodo più freddo dell'anno. La struttura è un'antica casa ristrutturata in maniera geniale dalla proprietaria Julia. Pulizia eccellente, lenzuola e asciugamani sempre molto profumati e candidi. camera tripla con bagno privato molto ampia. Julia ci ha aiutati con informazioni varia e ci ha preparato colazione e cena al momento con pane fatto in casa e prodotti artigianali. - Johannes (10/5): Beautiful hotel in a beautiful corner of Argentina - What a gem this place is. An old farm, beautifully refurnished by Julia and Jose, the owners. Only 4 rooms, all of them exquisitley and yet authentically furnished. But the Highliht is definitely Julia, the owner. We have never met such a nice, warm-hearted and caring person. She is truly interested in the guets´s well-being. She only speaks spanish, but with her - everyone can speak spanish: she takes her time, speaks slowly and tries to use simple words. She has a solution to every question, writes individual itineraries for every guest if needed and furthermore she is a wonderful cook. Unfortunately Purmacara is on the other end of the world for us, but if there is a chance we would definitely come back. Of course for the really impressive and overwhelming nature in this area, but even more for Julia. Thanks for a truly memorable time!
- Nuria (10/5): Stunning property and kind owners - We really enjoyed our stay, everything was excellent! The owners are incredibly kind, excellent cooks and gave us many recommendations for our trip. The location is stunning and the property as well. We can’t wait to come back in the future. The only thing that would have made it even better is a window to the exterior (our room had only a window to an interior room/patio). But we were there only to rest at night, so it didn’t bother us too much.

Sendero DeLas Cabras is an old adobe dwelling lovingly restored and filled with intriguing and beautiful antiques. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade breads, jams and cheese. On 2 nights Julia cooked a lovely traditional dinner for us. The location is gorgeous, just out of Purmamarca with great views and very peaceful.

Beautiful restoration of old adobe building charmingly decorated by the super friendly owners/couple. So unique and authentic I'd give it more than 10 stars if I could. Delicious breakfast with freshly baked brioche, jams, eggs cooked to order and delicious coffee. Must stay if in the area. The mattress in one of the bedrooms was to firm for me but it is a matter of personal preference.

The place looks simple but inside, everything is very detailed…the antiques, the room, the common areas, the dining area…everything was wonderful! And the breakfast was to die for…so many homemade items…the bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, alfajores….everything was delicious! I found this place by accident, but it turned out to be one of the places with the most character that we have stayed in! I truly recommend it!

Amazing hosts - Julia and Jorge were incredibly helpful and friendly, telling us all we could do in the area. Delicious breakfast included ( Julia baked delicious breads, egg, and organic fruit) and she also cooked us a delicious traditional dinner. Rooms and communal areas are beautifully decorated and lots of restored antiques.

(Can you tell that I once lived in Texas? 😁) The accommodations were clean and of true Purmamarca style. The location was only 5 minutes drive from downtown Purmamarca where the 7 Color Hills can be spotted. Julia was an extremely pleasant host who responded swiftly if we needed anything and Jorge provided many recommendations for excursions. The location was very well maintained.

Just be aware that the guesthouse is well outside Purmamarca and would be a fair walk to reach shops and restaurants. Not a problem if, like us, you arrive by car.
