Guest Reviews
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - was very clean, close to lots of fun places, and affordable ! there were 4 of us, the place is better suited for 2 for seating etc. but it was still amazing.
- Dianna (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful setting and so clean
- Desiree (10/5): Perfect stay outside city limits with easy access to everything and friendly hosts!! - Loved the kitchen and the bed was super comfy after a long day of outdoor activities.
- Mihaela (10/5): Absolutely the best! - Everything excellent! All have been very good!
- Kate (7/5): Very Clean But Not a Nature Esacape - The property was very clean. It was a short driving distance to Golden Ears Park. It was also close to a breakfast place we loved called Humble Roots. Next to Humble Roots was a cute convenience store with British snacks.
The kitchen was well equipped. The bathtub/shower was very nice. We were looking for a city escape and from the pictures in the listing when we booked the property it looks like it is in the woods. We were disappointed as we drove up into a new cul de sac development with other houses on either side only a couple of feet away. We have more space between neighbors in the city. We wouldn't have booked it had we known this so I just thought I would leave a review so other people would know.
The unit is in the basement accessed from the back of the property. You have to walk along the side of the house where there is a barking dog from the neighbor's house on the other side of a chain link fence. I wouldn't book if you are afraid of dogs.
While the property was new and clean and was tastefully decorated I wish the sound proofing had been better as we heard lots of noises coming from the owner's house upstairs both at night and early in the morning. I think we stayed at an unfortunate time as it sounded like there was a domestic dispute in a language we couldn't understand.
Parking is prohibited in the unit's driveway, and there are lots of driveways in the cul de sac that you can't park in front of, so spaces are limited and it is unlikely that you will be able to park right in front of the house. There is a street down the block that usually has parking, but just wanted to give a heads up in case close parking is important to you.
- Leslie (10/5): Had a great stay. Loved the apartment. Convenient location to parks, shopping etc. - Comfortable, very clean, bright apartment. Loved the big windows so it didn’t feel like a basement. Great kitchen for cooking meals. Bedroom was roomy with a comfortable bed.
- Lance (1/5): Didn't stay - nothing to say. Host cancelled based on discrimination of being a client of the salvation army / homeless.
- Anderson (1/5): Bad -
- Oconnor (9/5): Superb -
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional Basement Suite - When I book a basement suite I have concerns about cold floors, upstairs noise, and basement smells. This property is hands down the nicest basement suite we have ever stayed in. Beautiful space which was very clean, warm, quiet, had a comfortable bed and pull-out couch and a well-appointed full kitchen. Liquor store is a 5 minute drive and grocery store is 10. A huge bonus is being steps away from multiple walking paths and hikes. Would definitely stay again! The only negative was the booking process on Booking.com which left me feeling slightly uncomfortable with the host.
- Raphael (10/5): Exceptional - We liked that they answered quick with a couple request and everything was nice and cozy Everything was great could've been a little less hot but no complaints
- Garnet (9/5): Superb -
- Carl (10/5): Outstanding - Not included but had everything to cook your own Everything good
- Phuong (10/5): Perfect home away from home - The place was absolutely superb! It was modern, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with every appliance and utensil we could possibly need. The attention to detail was impressive, from the spotless cleanliness to the little touches that made it feel so welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay to the fullest. We had such a wonderful experience here and can’t recommend it highly enough. We’d love to return next time if it’s available!
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous Private entrance
Coffee machine and coffee

- Nadia (9/5): The standard of the place is like a 4 star hotel. Was excellent. Lots of nature around. - It is super clean and newly refurbished and very comfortable. Great coffee pods. It is under the owners house.
- Dustin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruslan (10/5): Next time I go to Vancouver I’ll definitely stay there if it’s available. - Clean, comfortable and quiet place. Nice location with beautiful park around.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Milad (10/5): Exceptional - Really clean and all the essentials for cooking are here, we enjoyed our stay there and will go again.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and comfortable.
- Elisabeth (9/5): Superb - I loved the hosts.
They were welcoming and allowed for privacy at the same time.
They had the most adorable dog, whom I was lucky enough to meet, but who in no way interfered with my stay and was very well behaved. How clean, orderly and private the place was.
- Yi-hua (10/5): We had a bike trip from Vancouver to Maple Ridge. The host is nice person. We so enjoyed this suite in our 3-days trip. - The full suite contains everything and is same as the showed photos exactly. The room includes independent entrance, is private, clean, cozy and quiet. Nothing. I cannot find the baking tray but it’s not big problem for us.
- Devin (10/5): Exceptional -
