• Seamus (7/5): Good - It was a lovely spacious house. For us the location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from family but it is about hour into Toronto by bus and underground. We used ubers. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Due to previous bad reviews I emailed to make sure everything would be in order when we arrived. We were 3 couples and booked the house as it had 3 bathrooms. When we arrived on the Monday, out of 4 toilets only 2 were working and hot water in the upstairs bathroom shower was running continuously. It was Wednesday evening before the owners came and fixed them. We declined their offer to come back on the Thursday to fix the toilet in the basement as we had 3 working toilet now. There was no ironing facilities and it was Wednesday that the ironing board and clothes airer were found by the owners in a locked press. We received the iron on Thursday morning after reminding the owners that we were going to a wedding that day. The pictures on the site seem to show curtains on the windows upstairs. There wasn't any curtains except white sheers and fake curtain panels that didn't move. At night totally see through and we were all awake at 6.00am from the sunlight. The only bedroom with curtains was the smallest bedroom. We have an email assuring us that an inventory list of items was available in the house, it wasn't. Not enough plates, chipped mugs. Such a pity as all small issues that could have been sorted easily. The garden was quiet overgrown nothing like the pictures. We brushed the patio and disinfected the table before we used it. Before we left we put the towels in at a quick wash as requested . We received our full deposit back within a week. We paid 3,580 CAD for the rental, we shouldn't have had to send emails and make calls to have things fixed while on our holidays.
• World (1/5): WRONG CHOICE!!!!!! UNPLEASANT STAYS $$$ RIP OFF - DO NOT TRUST THESE PICTURES. (SCAM) This is our first time ever writing review. Dont want others make the same mistakes. Noted that rating of 4/10 from past guest and we reminded the host to ensure its clean. The host Globalstay said would send someone there to double check before our arrival. We found out there was leftover old yucky yellow drink in the refrigerator. After notified the host, and we were told that might be from previous guest and asked us to dispose it. Water leaking from bathroom. Carpet was dirty. Dining chairs were covered by some cheap black nylon covers. Pillows smelling and house is full of dust in the plastic fake flowers. We ended up everyone has allergy and sneezing whole time. Backyard is full of outgrown weeds. Lots of bugs. Sadly, we couldn't enjoy the outdoor. Weak Wifi. Some leftover towels in the laundry room. We drove 10 mins to dump all the trash n recycles facility to avoid any fee deduction from deposit. We did explained back and forward with the host (escalated to the supervisor) about the trash arrangement. BUT host ripped us off and still deducted trash fee from the deposit. What a SHAME!
