• ID173 (4/5): Buena ubicación pero suciedad y no hablan español. Good locatión but dirty - -Ubicación a 1 calle de playa de Las Canteras y cerca se CC Las Arenas. - Recepción hasta 22h - Amabilidad del recepcionista de la noche del 3-5-26 -El recepcionista es chino y no habla español y habla inglés regular. -No responden ningún mensaje que se envía por Booking. -Me dieron una cama sucia y con pelos y tuve que pedir sábanas nuevas y ponerlas yo porque el recepcionista no sabía que estaba ocupada por otra persona. -Alojamiento con falta de reforma y zonas sucias. - No hay cartel en la entrada y puerta de la calle vieja, estropeada y sucia. - Música ambiental hasta las 23 horas que no deja dormir. - Gato del hostal maullando muy pronto o muy tarde. - No hay espejo en el baño y es mixto, no femenino. - Puerta de habitación femenina no se puede cerrar. -The receptionist is Chinese and doesn't speak Spanish, but his English isn't good. -They don't answer to any messages sent through Booking.com. -I was given a dirty bed with hair on it, and I had to ask for new sheets and put them on myself because the receptionist didn't know that the bed was occupied by someone else. -The accommodation is in need of renovation and has dirty areas. -There's no sign at the entrance, and the street door is old and dirty. -Background music until 23pm that makes impossible to sleep. -The hostel cat meows very early in the morning or very late at night. -There's no mirror in the bathroom, and it's a mixed-gender bathroom, not a women's room. -The door to the women's room can't be closed.

• Moreno Tolosa (10/5): - Las voluntarias un 10, sobretodo Greta, muy atenta. Leí comentarios sobre la limpieza o el ruido, y según mi experiencia para nada fue así. Las voluntarias han limpiado absolutamente cada día, y a las 11 la gente ya se iba a dormir. Puntualidad en cuanto a la apertura y el cierre de la zona común. Es cierto que las instalaciones son antiguas, pero todo se mantiene limpio y ordenado.

• Alan (10/5): full-on - Amazing place to stay. Everything is clean, and the location is unbeatable for the price. Perfect for both socializing and partying, but also for relaxing since it’s quiet after 11 pm. The volunteers made my stay. Super open, friendly, and always organizing activities. Shoutout to Maddy, Aleida, Anika, Suvi and Greta/Maddie. Maddy, Aleida, and Suvi were always attentive and kind, you could rely on them anytime. Anika, the manager, keeps everything running smoothly while staying relaxed and easy to talk to. Greta (Maddy) really stood out. Basically the heart of the hostel. Always organized, super social, and finds a solution for everything. She made things work and brought everyone together. The midnight club outings she set up were definitely a highlight. Definitely coming back! Nothing to complain about for that price for me.

Beach was like 1 minute away . The kitchen that was also the upper terrace, was closed at 23.00, and couldnt get your snacks from the fridge after that time .

• Leni Paula (8/5): - Die Wtimmung ist super. Danke an alle Volunteers und andere Hilfskräfte. Mit Aleida habe ich super schöne Gespräche geführt. Martin konnte immer einen Witz erzählen. Anika hat die Bar geschmissen. Madeleine war immer super freundlich und Larissa hatte alles unter Kontrolle. Mein Aufenthalt war sehr sehr schön und ich werde wiederkommen. Alles was man von einem Hostel erwartet wurde erfüllt. Das Abendprogramm ist super durchdacht und immer schön gestaltet. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein und teilwise blättert die Farbe von den Wänden ab. Ist aber alles nicht schlimm, denn die gute Stimmung holt alles qieder raus :)

• Silvia (7/5): Carino, ottimo se si vuole conoscere gente - L’ostello è a due passi dalla spiaggia ed è un ostello dove la zona comune permette di conoscere facilmente gli altri viaggiatori, c’è un bel clima e i volontari sono molto gentili. La cucina ha tutto il necessario per cucinare. Nessuna stanza ha le finestre e nemmeno i bagni. Uno dei bagni aveva il pulsante dello sciacquone rotto, l’acqua calda la sera non c’era e mi son lavata con la doccia fredda.

• Mathis (9/5): Great vibes, great people (guests and staff). - What stands out about Doña Rose is the great staff! Aleida will welcome you with a big smile and great energy, Annika will make you the best drinks around if you want to have some fun and Martín will make sure you get everything you need during your stay. If you want the best place to meet people, it’s where you should go! The hostel is in good shape, clean and comfortable. Although some improvements could be made to make it better.

• Pilar (5/5): Importancia de los dos códigos - La ubicación y que en la recepción había 6 tablas para usarlas gratuitamente Había estanterías con productos de baño "free" Buena conexión con las guaguas No se identificaba muy bien quien trabajaba allí... Nos atendió una chica en inglés, que no nos dijo el código de la puerta de la terraza, casi nos quedamos a dormir fuera....menso mal que coincidió que llegaron a la vez los de la habitación de al lado... (hay un código para entrar en la puerta principal y otro código para el acceso a la terraza por la noche, y nuestra habitación requería acceder por la terraza) nadie que pudimos identificar como staff hablaba español; para acceder a 2 de las habitaciones (una la nuestra) hay que subir por una escalera en vertical, si eres joven y vas con mochila guai pero sino, suerte!

• Evgeni Gospodinov (8/5): - The atmosphere is all you can look for in this type of accommodation - friendly people and party vibe all across. Hostel events every night. Curfew was strictly enforced to allow proper rest and relax without any noise. Great volunteers working there! The facilities could be maintained a little better. The kitchen and outside sitting area are a bit rusty and could use some renovation. The same goes for bathrooms - missing shower curtains, hot water running out quickly, etc.

Fabiana e Noemi sono state gentili, disponibili assertive e hanno soddisfatto le mie esigenze specie per il cambio del letto! La posizione è ottima ed il prezzo pure! Struttura che necessiterebbe una ristrutturazione robusta. Mancano le finestre alle camere e ai bagni, manca uno spazio comune coperto nel caso piova e quello comune che c'è dopo le 11 p m. non è più accessibile. Gli armadietti nelle camere danno poca sicurezza...
• Severine (10/5): One of the best week of my life 🫶🏻 - The best thing about this property were the staff and all the socials they organised. I truly spent one of the best week of my life there, making memories every day. Anika, Larissa, Ela, Noemi & Louise were the absolute best, they helped at the house, entertained us, in fun & kind ways, always with a smile. Super helpful whenever we needed anything. The location so close to the beach and the shopping center is also fantastic. The terrace upstairs is amazing, great vibes every night, loved the happy hour (kudos to Anika for her bartender & DJ skills). I cannot wait to return. Maybe just fix a few outdated bits, but for the price we can’t really complaint. I would say that you should only really come to this house if you’re keen to socialise and not to really « rest ». Also, maybe, could you try improving the wifi 🙏

• Gryban (8/5): It was a great first hostel experience! You meet new people everyday, are close by the beach and everyone was really nic - The location is amazing! You are like 1 min away from the beach which is just great, also close to everything you need like nice coffee shops and food shops. The walls of the room definitely need repair. The cleaning could be a lot better. They do maintain it every day but to an acceptable standard. Of course that standard depends on each individual.

• Laurits (10/5): Every day I was looking forward to seeing Anika, the most amazing bartender/ partygirl youll ever feast your eyes on - Every day felt like a big happy family at the hostel, even though people were coming and going, the fresh arrivals they all came up to the Terrace to join us. But especially the Volunteers made the Hostel feel like home, they were always there for you🫶 That I had to leave eventually!
• Mavin (10/5): - It’s a great social hostel where you find friends so easily. Especially with the great bartender Anika who also organizes fun activities. The volunteers are all amazing. Especially Louise, Noemi and Ela. If you’re looking for fun nights out and socializing this is the place!
• Jones (10/5): - The staff were exceptional, especially Anika arranging amazing social events and the world's best bartender. And Louise took us out on some hiking adventures. I felt very safe due to her years of experience. It can be hard to get a warm shower unless you get there early

• Kachnowicz (10/5): - Amazing place! The cleanliness is top-notch (cleaned every day), and the kitchen is fully equipped. But the real heart of this hostel are the volunteers – Ela, Noemi, and Anika. Their energy, helpfulness, and hard work create a unique atmosphere. I’m still in touch with them even after returning home. I highly recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back!

• Marjolein (5/5): Vlakbij het strand en toffe vrijwilligers en gasten - Goede locatie vlakbij het strand. Fijn dakterras. De vrijwilligers en gasten maken het hostel de moeite waard. Extreem gehorige kleine kamer. Hygiëne kan beter. Via online incheck moet je kopie paspoort opladen. Ik wilde dat niet vanwege het risico op identiteitsfraude. Ter plekke kon ik met de nodige moeite door de vrijwilliger (waarvoor dank!!) ter plekke inchecken zonder kopie paspoort.

• John (7/5): - Generellt välstädat och fint. Det känns som att bo i en vanlig villa. Bra och rejäla gardiner till varje säng ger bra privacy. Hostellet har en social profil, och jag har alltid mött trevliga och sociala gäster här. Aktiviteter nästan varje kväll gör det lättare att lära känna andra resenärer. Det finns ett bra kök, så det går att laga sin egen mat och leva ganska billigt. Bra pris. Bodde här 2025 och det var verkligen fantastiskt, mycket tack vare volontärerna. Den här gången verkade de mer intresserade av att umgås med varandra än gästerna. Dock arbetar volontärerna oftast bara några veckor, så de byts ut snabbt. De är ofta unga och jag kan förstå att det kanske inte är så lätt alla gånger. Ligger lite längre från de stora busstationerna Santa Catalina och San Telmo. Vill du inte promenera ca 25 min från Santa Catalina behöver du byta buss.

• Lea (9/5): Hostel directly at the sea! - The location is awesome, 3min by foot and you are at the beach and there are so many cafes and restaurants. The rooms are totally fine, i only used them for sleep anyways. There are curtains on the beds which is really important. the rooftop area ist very nice! The staff was also super great, everyone was very friendly. Shoutout to erick for being especially welcoming and helpful with our car rental! He also gave us great tips for our trip. The kitchen was good, there were 3 fridges, so plenty of space. The only thing i really didnt like was the kitchen supplies, every pans coating was coming off and the spatulas were nasty af. You need to buy some new stuff!

• joana dz. (4/5): - Lokazizacja Ostrzegam przed noclegiem w pokoju wychodzacym na kuchnie i część wspólną. Nie ma tam szyby w oknie są tylko okiennice. W styczniu wiało i było zimno. Ale najgorsze to, że jest tam palarnia i cały dym z papierosóŵ i innych trawek jest w pokoju.... dodatkowo do 23 trwają spotkania, integracja itp. To oznacza że nawet w zatyczkach nie dalo się usnąć bo był straszny hałas i wszystkie zapachy są w pokoju.
• Maria fernanda (5/5): Nice vibes but really dirty - The location, the vibes of the place and the terrace. The cleaning. The volunteers were cleaning the toilets in the morning and then never again. The toilets were really disgusting… mushrooms in the curtains of the shower. The owner should pay to someone to clean property… not because is a hostel is gonna be not clean. I was in the same hostel in triana and was super clean! Nothing to say. The quiet time was at 23 pm but they did not respect the time. It was often noisy at 23.30 and even at 1 am, when the volunteer come after party (with the guest). The linen was so old. You could buy new ones if youre in the hospitality business.

Er zou wel vaker een dweil over de grond mogen gaan, de prullenbakken in de wc verschoond worden en wc papier aangevuld worden. Het is ook wel vervelend dat je na 22.30 niet meer bij de koelkast kan

• Kathleen (9/5): Enjoyable - Very comfortable beds. Good size lockers. Black out bed curtains. Big personal food storage containers. Location. Rooftop kitchen/social area. Someone stole my (expensive!) face cream. Lesson learned - get a padlock! Other than that, a great stay at Dona Rose hostel

In particular the staff team: Silvi, Martina, Asia, Sergio, Niki and the others... collaboration, sharing and good vibes as a base to spend wonderful evenings in company! If you are looking for a hostel in Las Palmas GC, YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GO TO DOÑA ROSA!! A big hug guys... I will miss you
