• JORGE ADRIAN (6/5): Buena , podría haber sido mejor - La ubicación , la vista , la seguridad . La falta de agua caliente , los muebles muy rotos , sobre todo vanitory del baño emparchados con cinta adhesiva , la falta de aire ac en el living comedor , los colchones no son de buena calidad , el sillón del living es muy sucio

• Eugen (5/5): Great location but the price for the apartment was too high giving the conditions of the apartment. - 1. The location is great. 2. Doe to the crime levels in Rio, it was great to have a concierge at the entrance to open the door for us all the time 24/7. 3. The owner (Ed) was a great guy. 1. **Outdated Apartment**: The apartment is quite outdated, with issues such as chipped paint, holes in the walls, and dirt on the doors from previous occupants. 2. **Hot Water Issues**: While the hot water is available, it’s unreliable at times—sometimes it’s only cold water. 3. **Payment Process Disappointment**: The payment process was the biggest disappointment. I had to pay additional fees when converting USD to BRL, and the advertisement didn’t mention that payments to the owner should be made directly in cash or through alternative payment methods. My credit card wasn't an option. I had to figure out how to withdraw cash from the ATM, create a Wise account, and transfer USD to BRL, which came with a commission fee. While we managed to resolve it, this information should definitely be included in the listing. 4. **Confusing Communication**: The host sent me a message in Portuguese that I initially thought was a welcome note, but it turned out to be instructions for the payment transfer. The translation feature only worked on the desktop version of the app, not on mobile. This caused some confusion and made me feel unsure about the situation, especially given that the instructions didn’t align with what I expected from a booking on Booking.com. I even wondered if it could be a scam. 5. **Sleeping Arrangements**: We were a group of six, and in the living room, we had to sleep on mattresses on the floor. While it wasn’t uncomfortable, given the price we paid, I would have expected a more elegant solution for sleeping arrangements. 6. **Noise Issues**: The noise in the living room was significant due to sliding windows that didn’t close properly. I had to use noise-canceling headphones to sleep. 7. Odor in Front of the Apartment: When we had to take the Uber, in front of the apartment building, there is a parking area for cars, and it has a strong odor of urine and feces. It feels like a makeshift toilet between the parked cars.
• Billygoa (10/5): Amazing location. - This property was a rare find. Location can't be beat - right across world famous Copacabana beach Post 5. The view was amazing from the 5th floor. Close enough to watch the action but far enough to silent loud noises. The host - I can't speak enough about Eddy. I was unfortunately robbed in a bad neighborhood in Rio and Eddy did all he could to accommodate me for my needs to replace my phone and travel documents etc etc. He became at once a buddy and family trying his utmost to help me in my time of need. Everything was perfect.
