- Stephen (10/5): Why I don't do hotels anymore. - First off, I could have stayed at a name brand hotel. I don't because properties like Jose's make traveling worth it to me. I meet locals, I experience life. His place isn't fancy, but it is worth every dime. The personal care he showed was priceless. I had developed a bad bad back situation just prior arriving his place, I went to a doctor for prior to his apartment. But while there at his place? He got me a back brace, a comfortable chair and a back cushion too. I stayed for a week and a half. So I know why and how his place supercedes a typical hotel. Yes I do. Breakfast is included, however, if you give him $20? And you're staying in an apartment with a kitchen you can Cook? Well, he will make a tremendous dinner meal which is Chilean. He also knows Italy, so it can be gnocchi or other. My point? The man can cook and is as kind and accommodates like no hotel! I ordered dinner three times. Full course meals with my choice of coke, beer or wine. I am grateful for my time at his apartment instead of a hotel room. And I will be back. Jose is a friend now. Who says that after a hotel stay?
