Guest Reviews
- Carol (10/5): We loved our overnight stay in this rustic stone cottage! - The bed was comfortable, the gas log fire kept the room warm, and the breakfast provisions were impressive. There was also plenty of space both inside and out.
- Phil (9/5): - It was lovely!
The chocy snacks and the sourdough toast were a nice touch. Nice and clean
- Paula May (10/5): - The location is great so long as you have a car. The stone cottage was charming and very cozy, heater worked a treat. Our host had left breakfast supplies in the fridge, eggs, milk, butter, spreads, bacon and bread. Fridge did not have a freezer, so no ice, but our host kindly gave us a freezer pack for us use to ensure our refrigeration items got home still cool.
- Hamish (10/5): Couldn’t have asked for anything more. - Comfortable , warm , generous host
- DTravels92 (10/5): Amazing experience in Ballarat - Great host and wonderful way to see the town
- Claire (10/5): - We had an amazing stay here. The cottage was more than we could have hoped for. Clean, spacious, comfortable with plenty of amenities. Host went above and beyond to be accommodating. Definitely would recommend. NA

- Michele (9/5): Great - Excellent location, facilities great
- Cheree-Ann (10/5): Amazing stay!!! Will definitely be coming back to stay here - Huge space, check in was easy. Sharon showed us around the cottage upon arrival. Kitchen was stocked well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Only downside was that we only booked for one night!
- Cheuk Lam Shannon (10/5): Comfy and spacious cottage - It’s a spacious, private place with cool cottage design. It was convenient for what I needed. Very good heater and quilt available. Be mindful that it’s open plan if you are travelling with other people
- Christina (10/5): Great stay for our time in Ballarat! Thanks for a comfortable stay👍🏻👍🏻 - Comfortable, clean and everything you need for your time away! Great location and secure parking. Host helpful and friendly☺️ Nothing
- Deb (10/5): Lovely, comfortable cosy place to stay . Thank you - Sharon was very warm and welcoming . She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable . Wish we could have stayed longer !
- Rosy (1/5): Bad experience - Nothing We drove there from SA, which took much longer than we had anticipated. Sharon had said she was also living on the property and could open the door remotely when we arrived. But while we were driving, Sharon kept calling and saying she was unhappy with our late arrival. So we had to find another hotel to stay in along the way, having already paid for this one.

- Hunter (9/5): Great overnighter - It was a comfortable space with great amenities. The 2 double beds accommodated my family of 4 well for the night. The gas log fire helped make the stay very cosy. I was really impressed by the amount of pantry and fridge options available. The host, Sharon, was friendly and accommodating. Nothing worth mentioning, all satisfactory for us.
- Dennis (9/5): Great. I would certainly recommend this for future stays, - Location was fine. Sharon is a very friendly host. Big screen TV. The kitchen was well stocked and the place was very clean. Early morning showers in the Ballarat cold meant he cold water tap was frozen. This meant washing piecemeal with hot water but no big deal. Once the sun came up it was fine so not an issue for most people.

- Zhen Yu (10/5): Cosy, clean, big, convenient - Amazing cosy cottage-style stay. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and fireplace is perfect in cold weather. Near Sovereign Hills and many food options nearby. Definitely recommended for anyone spending the night in Ballarat!

- Yann-chu (10/5): A truly unique, rustic stone cottage - Like the name suggests, Rustic Stone cottage and it's truly unique and warm. Sharon was lovely and very welcoming. Love the look of the cottage and the facilities provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of just being there. Thank you so much Sharon. Photos on the website doesn't do it justice. The heater going off every hour and a half. We didn't need it on when we are in bed so we had good sleep.

- Chris (10/5): Awesome Cottage - Fantastically rustic cottage. It's five star and just a lovely place to stay. Open plan layout with large beds and lounge and dining area. Gas fire was awesome. Nice decorations.
- Diane (10/5): A lovely place to stay in Ballarat. - A lovely place to stay. Easy to find, clear instructions on what to do when we arrived and a warm greeting by our hostess. Cottage was neat & clean. Bed was comfy and cottage had a good shower. Kitchen was well supplied with stock and equipment. We only stayed for one night but would have loved to stay longer.

- Kaili (10/5): SUPERB! - Host was very friendly and welcoming! Gave a tour of the place when we reached. Stocked up fridge, sour dough bread and hot choc etc. Place is nice and electric blanket is just superb. Had a good night sleep in the cold weather. It's just a few mins away from Sovereign Hill. My boy had a good time playing at the yard. Wifi available too. Overall, a very pleasant stay!
- Devindran (10/5): Truly the best stay ever. - We were on a 2-week roadtrip along the Great Ocean road, then up to Grampians and Ballarat before moving on to east Victoria, and this place is definitely the best that we stayed at! It was truly amazing. Sharon was a wonderful host, so pleasant and kind. She warmly welcomed us when we checked in, gave a tour of the place and went the extra length to provide us with a fully stocked fridge, bread, cereals for breakfast and even coffee/hot chocolate to drink.
The house was so cozy, with a huge TV and super comfy beds. The electric blanket was a blessing during the cold nights.
Overall I would give this place 10 stars, and even more for the lovely host. We will definitely be back in Ballarat and will stay here again. None!
