• Lakshmi Madhavi (9/5): It was perfect! Just what we needed. - It was so close to the beach and it wasn’t crowded like the other beaches in Phillip Island. We could walk up every night to watch the sunset.

SO GREAT to walk to the beach daily (multiple times!) and the extras left out for us were such a lovely surprise! - chocolates and coffee 🥰 Kids all had a BLAST with the games and we just love the quaintness + retro style 🥰

• Louise (8/5): Very good - We had a a very comfortable stay at Gidget's Place recently when we visited the penguins. The house was very neat and clean. The hosts have lent in delightfully to the retro feel of this cute original beach house.

• Susan (10/5): Great place to stay in Surf Beach - We only were able to spend one night here but the place is certainly set up for longer visits. As previous travelers mentioned, it does feel like you are visiting the grandparents house. Very homey and cute decor. I would definitely stay here again if I get back to this area. We did see several wombats who seem to be very comfortable in the yard. Liked everything

• Gail (10/5): Exceptional - Michelle and Graham were great hosts. The instructions given is clear which made checking in so easy. Chatting with them is easy thru the app and they are very responsive. The place is decorated in a homey way that brings back childhood. I was with my parents and aunt and uncle and that made the place more relatable. There are wild bunnies as well. :D

• Louis (10/5): Relaxing - Breach access right across the street. Great aesthetic. Big back yard. No deck or view from the house, but the beach was right there.
• Rach (10/5): 11/10 Perfect location with charming 70s Gidget vibes - We recently stayed here for the MotoGP, and it was the perfect choice! The location couldn’t have been better—super close to all the action, but still tucked away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The house was a real highlight, styled like something straight out of the 70s with a retro charm that reminded us of Gidget. Every detail, from the decor to the cozy atmosphere, made it a memorable stay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Phillip Island, especially for race weekend! Not one thing. (Actually one thing, their internet was SO much faster than ours at home haha)

• James (10/5): A fun and quirky ‘60s style beach shack. - The quirky 1960s decor was great fun and brought back memories of our parents’ and grandparents’ houses. We particularly liked the magazines scattered throughout the house that dated from the 1960s and 70s. The powerful split system heater kept the place nice and warm even in the middle of winter. High recommended accommodation if you are looking for something a little different.
• Aarohi (9/5): Great. The decor/theme was excellent. Amazing location. Great yard outside. Would do it again. - Unbelievable location. Great decor Cleanliness. On the surface great, great. But there were dusty corners. All in all still fine though.
• Boon (7/5): Good - Clean and tidy house. Responsive host The aged refrigerator not working well. Not cold enough. Ice in freezer compartment melting. Suggest to replace the Refrigerator.

• Bettina (8/5): Back in time - Good starting point for activities on Philip Island. Very special interior, you think you are 60 years back in time. The shower with curtain is a bit tight. Since the hood is so closely above the stove, you have to bend down when using pans on the back end of the stove.

The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we could want. It was a little cluttered so we had to double check we had all our belongings when leaving, but this wasn’t a real problem
