Guest Reviews
- Karen (1/5): Bad - The flat we was booked for originally had a leak so was offered alternative accomadation at camden town.
When we got to property the room was still being painted so painter put us in a different room, at approx 4.15 am lots of banging and shouting im going to stab you shortly after property was raided by metropolitan police we was finally allowed to leave at 7am under police escort due to the amount of blood and not being able to use banister to get down stairs due to the blood all over the banister
- Trizinski (9/5): Perfect little place. - Loved it, comfortable, homely flat. Couldn't get the TV working but meant that we didn't watch it so maybe a good thing! No bin, only bin bags and didn't know where to take them. Also no cutlery but I would definitely stay again, hopefully soon.
- Liz (1/5): Not good - Honestly nothing The bed was broken, the windows wouldn't open and it was hot in there, had to call to get someone to come and open them as I have copd and couldn't breath . Tv wasn't working. The owner did offer to move us but it was 25 minutes away from the place we was going too plus we had to leave in a hour to go to the venue so seeing I'm disabled it wouldn't of been easy for me and I would of been late going to the venue
- Wijittana (1/5): Bad -
- Paul (4/5): Disappointing -
- Gustavo (2/5): Very poor - It was dirty, ladies sanitary towels in the open bin.
Sink full of left over noodles.
Bedside full of hairs.
Pans just half washed left on the side.
You can hear everything don't expect to sleep.
Yes. the door had a code on but if you pushed it it would open.
Sofa with no legs and no TV.
- Erika (8/5): Very good -
- Kirsty (1/5): Horrific - Nothing could hear everything banging all night long, walls were dirty, no glasses only had two stained mugs, turned up at 6pm flat wasn’t ready two rude guys in cleaning.
- Callum (1/5): Rubbish - Nothing Nothing WiFi not a bed settee and generally dirty
- Brook (1/5): Bad -
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - It was in good location to where we wanted to be it was clean The sofa bed was very uncomfortable was like sleeping on the floor could do with a better sofa bed
- Liam (1/5): Okay - I didn’t like that I got changed to a different location That I paid for a luxury place and got given a bando
- Nemeth (7/5): Good - They canceled the apartman at the last moment, I got another one. I had to send several messages to the owner to send the address of the new apartment. He said that the foreigner would pay, but this has not happened since then. (09.10.2024). He doesn't respond to calls or messages. There was one towel for 2 people, which is not nice. Cleaning was not the best either. (I clean such apartments, but we never leave them there!) the furniture in the apartment was nice and in a good location, but the cleanliness was not good. however, I am not satisfied with the owner. I didn't want to give this kind of feedback, but there was no reason why the owner didn't respond to my messages. That's why I thought I'd describe my experience so that others don't have such an experience.
- Mohamed (5/5): Passable - Bed was broken. Didn’t stay the night
- Joseph (2/5): Different property to the one booked - Location was ok Instead of the flat booked with bedroom and lounge with sofa bed it was changed to one bedroom no lounge and one small double bed which me and my mate had to share. Not good
- Andrew (1/5): Annoyed ,disappointed and dreadfully badly managed - Location WOULD have been great had it not been unavailable at the last minute even though the host had messaged us asking for our arrival time a couple of hours before they decided it was no longer available ! Terrible communication from the host
- Tatiane (1/5): Doesn't answer the phone, doesn't give the internet code, no hot water! - when I arrived at the apartment, the owner didn't answer my phone, it was torture, he is online and he simply didn't answer, the apartment was dirty, he didn't give me the internet code, the water was cold and the sofa bed was broken, I left on the second day,I contacted booking but the owner simply did not respond to booking, simply a case of scam, I hope that in the future the owner will be there for guests, waiting to get my refund from booking. when I arrived at the apartment, the owner didn't answer my phone, it was torture, he is online and he simply didn't answer, the apartment was dirty, he didn't give me the internet code, the water was cold and the sofa bed was broken, I left on the second day,I contacted booking but the owner simply did not respond to booking, simply a case of scam, I hope that in the future the owner will be there for guests, waiting to get my refund from booking.
- Abdisamad (1/5): Bad - erea No service and
- Rio (1/5): It was terrible it wasn’t clean and we couldn’t stay there I’m waiting for a refund but the place that we booked isn’t p - Nothing Nothing
- Lang (7/5): Was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. - Nice kitchen and bathroom. A short walk to the nearest tube station and shops were close. The sofa bed was not comfy and was broken. It was being held up but a block of something and it collapsed a couple of times across the 3 nights. There was also a leak in the bathroom which soaked the floor.
- Daniel (8/5): Really enjoyable stay overall! The flat was very near Camden Town for all amenities, shops / restaurants etc. - The location was fantastic for us as we were going to the 02 forum just down the road.
Local amenities were really good too, only a short distance to all shops / restaurants etc.
Travel to Camden market was £10 by Uber which was handy as it was raining a lot when we stayed.
The flat was clean when we arrived. On arrival we had trouble figuring out the door lock system. As you enter the building the Flat isn’t marked so we were unsure which door it was. A short phone conversation with the host sorted all of that though! Took us a few minutes to figure it out the key pad, that you have to put your hand on the keypad to activate it before entering the pin to unlock the door.
The red couch needs replacing or repairing as one of the legs are broken. Someone has propped it up with a box wrapped in fabric.
Other wise, the flat itself is as advertised and was perfect for our stay.
- Leon (1/5): Bad -
- Claire (1/5): Would not recommend - Location There was no toilet paper or hand wash in the bathroom. There was no hot water, dishes out on the side and when it came to going to bed we had noticed the bedding was dirty, had pubic hairs and a packet of cigarette papers under the sheets , which would suggest these were not fresh. Poor communication as well; there were no responses to my messages. I will not be staying here again, and I'm disgusted that this cost £148 for the night!!
- Tom (3/5): Disappointed and won’t return - The size is good The property messaged me to tell me the room was ready and I could check in from 3pm. Upon entering the property I was met with a mess, it hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guest. I had to wait two hours and make phone calls to get the room cleaned. They refused to give me any compensation nor apologize. They also advertised that they have wifi, when they don’t have wifi. There is no shower products. There was only half a toilet roll. There was dishes in the sink. The front door of the flat could be opened easily with a credit card sliding between the frame.
- Billie (8/5): Very good -
- Cumbers (8/5): Really convenient stay, cosy and good value. - Really convenient for our last minute situation, it was really cosy and good value for money, the bed was comfortable and there were extra pillows and soap and towels included. The owners were really communicative too. It was a little bit dirty but it wasn’t too bad, we didn’t mind however it was a little bit dirty if that’s something that bothers you.
- Jack (2/5): For 140 pound it was not worth the place was not clean and the communication was awful - The location was ok Place not clean broken bed and sofa also broken pipe on radiator made it flooded in bathroom also broken lock so can’t lock door
- Svarc (1/5): Bad - Nothing This accommodation offer seems to be a scam.
The flat looks like some little piggy simply lives there longterm. Dirty dishes, fluff on the floor, manky bedclothes and rugs all with hair on them, broken beds with old knickers under them, rubbish on the table, noxious air, awful smell, horrible place.
Property manager supported us well via text on getting inside the flat (we needed help with clever electronic lock). Once we got in and asked about the state of the place and sent photos, they said they will "send someone to clean".
The place can't be simply cleaned to be safe to stay in, so we asked for a refund. At which point the property stopped communicating. We booked another place at much steeper price last minute, just to stay the night somewhere clean and safe. No one can be expected to even keep their belongings in 7 Fortess Yard, let alone sleep there.
We have reached booking.com support line who pointed us back to property contacts. We are still expecting to be compensated.
Keep safe, keep out of this place.
- Kyran (6/5): Pleasant -
- Malik (1/5): rubbish host never again book elsewhere - The balcony Upon arrival the owner said the apartment wasn’t clean yet(it was 9pm) how is the apartment not clean yet makes no sense then he offered to stay at another property it wasn’t even close it was on the other side of London lucky I decided to drive & the apartment wasn’t nearly as good as the original one I booked the tv was broken their was no toilet paper there was a horrible smell clearly been smoked in for the disappointment I asked the owner to at least time some money off as it was not worth £80!! He just ignored my messages wouldn’t book with this property again don’t waste your time
- Darren (2/5): Very poor -
- Richard (1/5): Abysmal service - Nothing We were only told once we arrived in London after travelling for two hours from York by train that we couldn't stay at this property. We were offered another property outside London 30 miles away which was of no use to us. We had to book alternative accommodation last minute whilst at kings cross at further cost.
- Phuong (5/5): Passable -
- Zsofia (3/5): Disappointed - The location was great. Quick answer Unfortunately the flat is for only 2 people.. me as a 3rd person for the stay was very unsatisfied as i had to sleep on a broken bed without any sheet on the bed as they did not prepare any “clean” bedding. I got in touch on the day of the arrival which was later around 11pm which i chosen for checkin, they immediately answered me which a great thing to be able to talk to them as soon as possible, however the promised bedding never arrived the next day or for 4 days of our staying. It was unbearable to sleep on the broken bed, barely got any sleep on our “holiday”. Let’s not talk about the towel they provide and the “clean bedding” either in the main room or the spare bed. I also have to mention the amount of hair in the bathroom on our arrival.. just to prepare the next people who are staying there. This flat is better than a hostel however on your arrival get toilet paper, soap and dish soap and even hand towel because its not provided not even a bin provided. Please see attached pictures.
- Richard (6/5): Could have been great, but was spoilt by problem when checking in. - Location was superb for what we wanted to do. Keyless check-in. The nanager was quick in sorting out the problem we had (see below) when we first checked in. Unfortunately when we arrived at 3pm the flat hadn’t been cleaned and was full of refuse, empty beer and spirit bottles, and very dirty bedding still on the beds. The whole flat stank of alcohol, and urine. I had my kids with me and they were very upset as they thought squatters might be living there and would come back when we were sleeping. I called the manager and he sent a cleaner straight away. The cleaner took over an hour to clean it up and said he was disgusted by the state of the place. This meant we didn’t get into the flat until 1.5 hours later than planned. Once cleaned the flat was lovely but this did really take the shine off our trip to London.
Also we had booked for three people and there was no bedding for the third bed (sofa bed) which was broken (missing a leg)
Seems like some better planning and communication is needed to make this a great little place to stay.
- Vanesa (1/5): Bad -
- Gary (1/5): Late cleaner, experience left me feeling anxious - Location to O2 Forum
Modern looking flat In a nutshell, I can't recommend this at all if you suffer from anxiety or any kind of mental health condition, as I was left feeling pretty stressed out within an hour of arriving!!
I received a message I would be able to check in from 3, and replied with a message saying I would arrive at around 4pm. I arrived (after some difficulty finding the place, and whether I was going in the right room) and when I entered found it hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupant (picture is what it looked like immediately after I arrived). I rested a bit after my journey, then about half an hour later heard someone trying to enter then knocking the door (I always have the latch on when I'm in accommodation). I answered and it turned out it was the cleaner. Initially I think she thought I was the previous person and told me to check out!! So I showed my booking confirmation, which she took a picture of and sent to the owner I think? She then, to be fair, offered to clean. I said no thank you- simply because I only had an hour's downtime before I needed to leave, and wouldn't be able to relax with her cleaning. She left, and I was just left feeling so jumpy and anxious. I suffer from anxiety a lot, and the whole experience really stressed me out. I was initially going to give a higher rating, because it was a very modern looking flat and the location was perfect. But after reading the other reviews, it looks like late/no cleaning has been a regular problem so really should have been dealt with by now.
Also, the flat was too warm throughout my stay.
- Ray (8/5): Very good - It was a ground floor flat which was great clean and cosy loved the kitchen we could make drinks and food short bus ride to kentish town or Camden. Rough path/ bank down to the flat no wifi
- Arnold (1/5): Stuck up owner with manners matching a sewer rats - Check out The owner contacting me throughout my stay threatening to throw me out and accusing me of being involved with narcotics and preventing me (which I wouldn't) of booking any of his ses pits in future, extremely rude, would be wonderful to have a more detailed chat in person with it
- Warner-baker (6/5): Pleasant - Good location easy access to Camden at an affordable price Difficulty finding the flat, was quite small but to be expected for price
- Jodie (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again very unhygienic - The property is is a good area and is decorated lovely. It was very unclean, good job we read reviews no towels, toilet roll the basics of a stay. The toilet flush button was hanging off, pubic hairs all over bedding and bathroom floor rubbish under furniture in the front room. We contacted the property and provided pictures with this but was told it had been cleaned. Could be a really nice property these things let it down massively.
- Linda (7/5): it was clean, tidy and comfortable met our needs for a 1 night stay. location great for the 02 - the location was good as we where in London for a gig at the O2 forum so ideally situated for our needs. it was a little difficult to actually find the property, someone nearby told us where it was and then we couldnt actually work the door code and again someone needed to assist us oherwise we would not have found the property or managed to actually access the property. maybe need clearer directions and clearer instructions with regards how to operate the door code.
- Sarah (8/5): Very reasonable and comfortable overnight stay in a great location!! - As a party of 3 we had a very comfortable overnight stay. The accommodation was modern and clean, and in a great location with a tube close by linking you to everywhere in the city. Local area great, offering lots of food options if you don’t want to travel too far. Both bed and sofa bed comfortable, no complaints there. Host sends through all check in instructions in plenty of time on the morning of your stay. With a little more attention to detail, this property could rate a lot higher than the current views reflect. I read the reviews so was prepared. We took an extra mug as the property only provides two. Also, only one dining chair. I think with a few tweaks, providing a set of crockery and a couple of extra chairs, this would resolve a lot of complaints. These issues were not enough to affect our stay, we were very comfortable. Check in instructions are clear when you locate the property, but maybe a picture of the outside of the property would be useful. We found it in the end, but had we been looking in the dark we may have struggled. To activate the inside door to flat, hold your hand over the screen, we had to ask a neighbour for help on this 🤣
- Kristofer (6/5): Nice modern interior, good price. Location is very run down. Sadly the host was terrible when it comes to communication. - The property was nicely furnished and modern (Inside). Location is very run down outside and the host was non existent in communication.
- Ewa (5/5): Passable - Nice little flat, newly decorated , functional l, ok for little meals (eg. salad, pizza, fries, some pasta etc) Hard to find (easily avoidable with clear welcome message instructions) Wasn't cleaned on the arrival (cleaner sent within an our of our phone call). No toilet paper, no tea, no hairdryer.
- Aaron (1/5): Rude and ignorant - Gave me wrong code to get in
No hot water and wouldn’t reply to me about sorting the hot water out No hot water
- Ami (1/5): Worst stay I’ve ever experienced. Save your money and sanity. - N/A Located in a weird back alley with a bath tub outside. Bed sheets had clearly not been changed, dirty fridge with screws inside, filthy tooth brush holder. Rude and unhelpful owner.
- Francesca (6/5): Pleasant - Very nice and newly renovated flat, warm and cozy. No pots, just one pan. It was impossible to cook. I was travelling with my husband and my 8 year son and we ended up eating eggs for 2 day in a row. No bed sheets for the sofa bed. But the flat is very nice and located in a very nice neighbourhood.
- Harry (2/5): Very poor - I would not recommend this stay for anyone. There were a lack of kitchen equipment. Not only was a sole pan provided, there was no microwave either and so the possibility for cooking or making warm, wholesome meals was non-existent.
In addition, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress provided no support and was akin to sleeping in quick sand. So much so that I had to resort to sleeping on the floor both nights and am now seeking chiropractic treatment for the discomfort it has caused my back.
I, stupidly, booked this flat for another week's stay with my initial booking but will now be cancelling that immediately as this was a really unpleasant and unwelcoming stay.
- Anonymous (1/5): The door was open and flat was on clean - Good location Very disappointed with our stay, when we arrived the door was wide open, the flat had not been cleaned there was food on the side and the bed had been slept in, check in time was 15:00-16:00 and we arrived at 16:15, we called the owner, he said the cleaner was stuck in traffic and would be there in 2 minutes, she arrived 45 minutes later, we called the owner numerous times in between go find out where she was but he would not answer my calls. I called booking.com as we were still waiting, they were unable to get in contact with the owner. We requested a refund but booking.com have not been able to contact him therefore they could not approve this. As a result We were late for the wedding we were going to.
The customer service was appalling, i would not recommend.
- Aleksandra (7/5): Great location with clean and cosy space - Quite hard to get find it and then get in the apartment itself.
